So Some of you may know but I haven't seen it explained so here ya go. Since Elite 1 this is how Mattel was attaching the legs to the hips The only way to get to that is a full torso crack. Huge pain! Now they are starting to do it this way and to switch the legs out is as easy as a head swap! Thank you mattel! The new hip joint system is AWESOME!

If it's not too much of a hassle for someone to answer, exactly who since E19 has this? I know Ziggler, Kane, Cody, and Ryback have it, but Jericho and Bryan don't.

So, I take it you would just boil and pop it off like when doing a head swap, right?

Actually this style has been around for a while. I know it's been used as far back as Elite 10 Ted DiBiase. This actually contributes to the loose joint which was infamous to Elite 19 Kane.

Does Elite 20 Cody Rhodes have this joint? I'd love to swap out the absurdly thick thighs that they gave him for some thinner ones like his Elite 3 figure had.

Yup, it's the reason why E19 Kane is so loose but it doesn't explain why it works well with HBK.

I've torn apart ALOT of elites and this is the first I've seen it.

That explains why all the legs are getting horribly loose now. Sure they fixed the ankle problems on figs since E18, but now they have a bigger problem on their hands with loose legs. It started with Kane, Shawn Michaels, then E20 Christian, God knows who else in E20 and 21 has horribly loose legs. I wondered what they did different because you can really tell a decrease in quality now on the groin joints there. The figures legs are sooooooooooooooo loose!

I can't say for sure but I believe the loose joints are based off oil residue from the mold release.
