It sucks seeing the same guys on both shows everyweek and it will make it harder for new guys to come through with so many new guys like Sandow, Cesaro, Fandango, The Sheild etc. It will be hard for even more guys getting called up and making a name for themselves. They need to have a draft soon, where the brands start from scratch. Obviously Cena stays on RAW, I wouldn't mind having Punk on Smackdown. If it was up to me the brands would look like this. The only thing that is multi-brand are tag teams. Make it a big deal when one Smackdown guy makes an appearance on RAW. RAW is more of the entertainment show while Smackdown is more of the wrestling show, so more of the techincal wrestlers go on Smackdown.
RAW John Cena Ryback Sheamus Jack Swagger w/Zeb Coulter Wade Barrett The Miz Kane Big Show Brodus Clay Darren Young Tensai Titus O'Neil Evan Bourne R-Truth Santino Marella Heath Slater Jinder Mahal Drew McIntyre Seth Rollins Roman Reigns Dean Ambrose
Zack Ryder Alex Riley Corey Graves- When called up from NXT Bo Dallas Rob Van Dam- Resign him
Smackdown CM Punk Randy Orton Dolph Ziggler Alberto Del Rio Big E Langston Mark Henry Rey Mysterio Sin Cara Kofi Kingston Antonio Cesaro Daniel Bryan Jimmy Uso Jey Uso Chris Jericho Christian Fandango Cody Rhodes Damien Sandow JTG- Re-debut him with an ASAP Rocky type gimmick and a valet Primo Epico Ted Dibiase Kassius Ohno- When called up from NXT Tyson Kidd Chris Masters- Resign him John Morrison- Resign him

There isn't a true brand split anymore. Yes, there are Raw house shows and Smackdown house shows but WWE has been running A and B shows forever. Sometimes even C shows.
It's profitable for them to split the roster and have one half tour in New York while the other crew is in Texas. And they can hit twice as many cities that way.

Truth is, I kinda miss it. I liked it like that cuz to Me it meant something different. You could kinda have little dream matches or something to really anticipate/look forward to. When you watch RAW & SD, they are so different from one another IMO thus not having exclusive brand wrestlers is the missing key to make them even more interesting/entertaining IMO.

I do miss when Raw and Smackdown were competitive of each other, and the drafts always shook things up for better or for worse.
Raw Supershow ended all that really, everyone is everywhere really.
Like, Ryback started off on Smackdown but now is more Raw focused. Then other guys like Orton and Ziggler seems to be on both shows.

They should just axe smackdown because the good days of it are over

It's time for WWE to either do it fully, or don't do it at all. Either give us two unique shows with their own champions and storylines. Or unify the titles and officially make it one roster again.
My personal preference? Give us two full rosters that only interact at PPV. Make the contracts unfrozen so wrestlers can periodically switch shows. Have two GM's who can't stand each other and are always trying to out do the other. I'd also like to see when a new star is brought up, both GM's try to recruit the star to their shows.
With who we have available, I'd go with Flair GM of RAW & Foley GM of SD. Their hatred for each other is well known, so it would help with the storyline.

I agree with all of this too. I really like the idea of the GM's earning Draft picks throughout the year. Maybe have Survivor Series PPV be nothing but RAW vs SD matches with a draft pick on the line in each match? Also WWE needs to get rid of the Elimination Chamber PPV. It's too risky that close to Mania. Gives time to build solid feuds. And gives us fans a chance to save up for WM.

Great idea would be to have a draft using the NXT roster every year, similar to the NFL draft. I definitely miss the brand split. I used to hate it back in the day, post attitude/ruthless aggression era when they created it but looking back now, it was actually a really good idea. Big names like Undertaker, Edge and Batista made SmackDown a lot more appealing aswell as the other guys on the roster such as MNM too. I now miss those days a lot so It'd be good to return to those. The World Championship is so irrellavant now and confusing without the brand split. It's over-shadowed by the WWE Championship, which it never was when the brand-split was in place. In terms of an idea to get rid of the World Championship, I'd have them unify it with the WWE Championship. Have a guy like Ziggler now, for example, challenge Cena for the WWE title and put his title on the line too. Then have Ziggler win, of course.

yes the Elimination chamber and HIAC PPVs need to go.those matches need to go back to being feud enders/problem solvers.......not effin staples in the PPV calendar.

Look at the roster on WWE.com. You can't pull up a "Raw" roster or "Smackdown" roster anymore. There is no split...
That being said, it sounds like your post is advocating re-engaging the split? So, I'm definitely confused...

yea this post is definitley mixed up....you're saying end the brand split but giving suggestions on how to split the roster
anyway, i enjoyed when smackdown and raw felt like different shows. when the WHC was smackdown only and the WWE title was raw only. i liked the idea of a draft where guys i enjoyed watching on raw would surprisingly move to smackdown so if i wanted to see them id have to watch fri nights
now we literally get the same 10 or so guys on both shows wrestling every match, and even when its not one of those guys (but a random mid-carder who they dont care enough to make interesting) its a comedy throwaway match or a squash match
its pretty sad with the large amount of talent this company has that they can't find anything interesting for different people to do within 5 hours of TV time a week

I don't understand this post. The title says the brand split must end, yet the post describes how to split the roster and organize it into 2 brands.

On the WWE App they have it split with a SmackDown and RAW roster. They have guys like Sandow Rhodes Orton and sheamus under the smackdown list and guys like Ziggler the Sheild Ryback Cena and Swagger under the RAW list

separate post for a separate thought.
My solution:
End the brand unification for weekly TV
RAW has a roster, Smackdown has a roster RAW has a GM, Smackdown has a GM RAW has 2 titles (WWE / US), Smackdown has 2 titles (WHC / IC) Tag Titles can be defended on either show Trades can happen between GM's but theres no "draft" anymore....superstars can move from one show to another via storylines (trades, winning a match, demanding a trade, etc.) PPVs are not brand specific Main Event & SMSlam can feature anyone from both shows

Personally I am glad it has basically ended, because two wrestling shows a week is too much anyway. I don't mind another show like Superstars or something but I didn't like when WCW added Thunder, and I didn't like Smackdown. One 3 hour main show a week is fine with me. Raw, Smackdown, Superstars, NXT, all of that is overkill and too much. There is something to be said for leaving the fans wanting more.
