I just realized...what if this is all a work. Cena lost last year and he was "devastated" for a year. What if this is their way of pretending like the Rock was "devastated". I don't for a second believe a single bit of it. And the fact that many people do is sad in my opinion. Look at these guys? They look like they hate each other, and the finish. You may just be on to something.

The IWC makes me sick to be a wrestling fan at times. From 04-10, everyone was begging for Rocky to come back, and he did. The whole point of him coming back was for him to put over Cena. He did that, yet the IWC bitched the whole way, complaining about Rocky taking the top spots when all of you were begging for him to return. Don't blame Rocky for that, blame the WWE writers for being complete s***. He put over Cena, which was the plan all along, and some guys who wish they were w/ the WWE post stories about him pretending to be injured w/ no evidence and the IWC once again eats it all up. 2 years ago you were all begging for them man to return and he did for the fans. Since then the IWC has s*** all over him for aparently taking the top spots from the non-superstars like Punk and others.
You guys seriously need to take chill pills and get off the mans back. He came back for us, yet you all turned on him for putting over Cena, which was the plan all along. The guy have never refused to put anyone over, so the fact that you all buy this factless rumor shows why wrestling is shunned upon in the first place.

I guess that I am older, and understand how wrestling has worked for the last 25yrs that I have been watching it. It is just like when people got upset that Bryan lost in 18 seconds last yr. Maybe I didn't care that much for it, I think he is the best wrestler in WWE, but I understand the reasoning, and what they were doing. He had been a cowardly old school heel, that found ways to keep his belt, and eventually the face got him similar to Honky/Warrior. Flair was always made to look weak vs. Sting/Luger but always got the win.

The article smells of the fabricated nonsense that always hangs around the wrestling world. Rock came back to help WWE in a serious time of need. Anyone who knew anything about the biz knew that meant losing to Cena to cap their feud and "respecting" him in front of the crowd. That's how a star helps the company before he leaves.

I find it hard to believe that the plan was ever anything but Cena taking the title and avenging the loss from last year. Even if they wanted Rock at Extreme Rules, Cena needed the win at Mania, not later.

The rumor can be real, but I doubt it. It was obvious Cena would win and it made sense, with the returning of the favor and passing the torch to Cena .... this was all visible months and months ahead of time and played out accordingly. They hugged, raised hands, etc .... seems like a plan that came together.

The whole issue might not even be Mania, it could have been the WWE's plans for Dwayne post Mania (putting over Lesnar...as rumored).
Either way, Dwayne was advertised for Raw and skipped out. Warrior did the same thing years ago (skipping out on advertised dates) and I lost all respect for him then, same as I lost respect for Dwayne this time around.
As for the WWE still promoting his game & movies. Vince is probably still doing that due to the costs associated with violating the contracts he has with the companies that are paying him to promote those products.
When Vince first parted ways with Warrior there were zero outside forces that prevented him from completely ignoring Warrior. If Vince is legit pissed at Dwayne for walking out on the company without notice (not 100% proven) and he didn't have these outside influences then Dwayne wouldn't be promoted at all on his programs.

I do not understand how people don't understand this, but here we goes - The Rock did not appear on RAW because he was INJURED. He didn't abruptly leave the arena because he was upset with the storylines or anything else other than the fact that he was hurt.

If reports are to be believed, he didn't inform anyone within the company he was leaving. If that was the case, then being hurt is a non-factor. If he did inform the office/Vince/anyone that he was leaving due to injury then he did the right thing, but from what I am reading that wasn't case.

I don't know how much I'd invest in matters of rumor, but I am intrigued by a coincidental detail...
How odd is it that two of the biggest superstars the company has ever produced, both from the Attitude Era, left without notice just in time to ultimately avoid working a program with Brock Lesnar? Rock was even critical of Steve Austin for leaving, but it looks like he may have done the same now. Do they simply not want to do the job for Lesnar, or do they know something we don't?

I didn't like Rock as champ, but if he's injured, he's injured. If he's not, he's not. I just don't care. Raw is just as okay without him as it is with him.

I know this is all probably a load of nonsense reporting, but i am convinced by watching The Rock during the match & at the end something was definitely 'off'.

With the way WWE is said to be run behind the scenes these days, I guess anything's possible.

So the Rock WAS scheduled for Extreme Rules. I guess that's a wash now. And is that because he's really injured, or the Hercules shooting dates changed, or he's actually pissed at WWE? I wish I knew the truth. And someone with more than half a brain could confrim this.
Some of the people on this board could fill a book with what they don't know.
