Hello all, I have a cool little story that I would like to share. I was headed to a rooftop bar with a big group of friends late Saturday afternoon in mid-town Manhattan. As we entered the bar, we were taken upstairs to the rooftop. As I finished climbing the steps, two very large men were headed in our direction. One of the men looked insanely familiar to me - he was bald and had a goatee - but I couldn't put my finger on who it was. After another couple of seconds of awkwardly staring at this man, I realized who it was. It was former WWE superstar and first ever winner of Tough Enough, Maven! I immediately went up to him and asked "Excuse me, are you Maven?" to which he responded "Yes I am, man. What's your name?" After I gave him my name he said "welcome to [name of rooftop bar], if there's anything I can do for you let me know, Anthony." A few hours went by and we decided to leave. On our way out I noticed Maven was working the door, checking ID's and the like. I asked for a picture and he said "absolutely, man, let's get a couple of good ones." After we took the picture we chatted a bit about wrestling. I said I'll always remember when he drop kicked the Undertaker at the Royal Rumble to which he laughed and said " you, man, you're making me feel old!" We shook hands yet again and he wished us all a great night. He was a class act all the way. Tremendous guy. So have any of you happened to run into wrestlers who have new jobs?

I liked Maven. He never really got to do too much, but I would of liked to see him rise up the ranks.

Always been a maven maniac! He won my favorite season of Tough Enough and eliminated the undertaker from the Rumble. Back then he was my favorite wrestler. He's had some pretty awesome moments in his career. Sad to see he's working at a bar now.

So strange to think back to him drop kicking the Undertaker in the Rumble, winning the hardcore title and even being part of team Orton against Evolution in 04. He definately deserved better than what he ended up with.

3 Things that made Maven memorable: GREAT entrance music, amazing dropkick and extremely furry eyebrows...

I met Maven back when he was still with WWE for an autograph session and he was just so nice and humble. You cojld tell he was living a dream. Last I heard he was having drug issues so its really good to hear he has a job and seems in good sprits.

Always thought he had great potential. His heel stuff with Shelton Benjamin was beyond epic.

That's a cool run in! I've had one of those before.
I met Rico in Vegas the weekend of my 21st birthday. We were headed to the airport & the cab driver was speeding like crazy. An officer flagged him down right as we got to the airport & was going off on him. The driver was about to get a few points on his DL, but then I saved the day. I blurted out, "Are you Rico?!" & he just went, "why yes, yes I am!" His partner just threw his hands up in the air in air in distain & walked away. He talked with my sister & I for a solid 10 minutes & took a photo with me. He became an air Marshall & went back to work for the Vegas PD. The cab driver thanked me repeatedly & waived our cab fare. I had a lot of fun that weekend, but THAT was the biggest moment of my trip.
