Yep, that's my 3 year old son and his "It's a girl!" balloon. That's the picture we used to let friends and family know through text and Facebook. We're super happy cause we really wanted a girl this time around. We've narrowed the names down to 3 but haven't told anyone yet til we decide for sure on one. She's due mid September and all measurement are where they're supposed to be. Another Oakland Raiders fan in this world is a beautiful thing, right? Lol.

Congratulations. Please don't name the girl a name also use for boys. As a guy with a name mainly used for girls the year I was born, it can really cause name calling.

Congrats. 3 years apart with the boy being older is a pretty ideal scenario for time between kids imo. Again congrats.

Please don't be one of those pretentious asshats who refers to their unborn child as a their fetus. Crossed paths with a woman who did that a while back. It was constantly "my fetus this" or "my fetus that". Her fetus actually had a fetus name which was completely and totally different from the name she gave the kid once it was born. It was the most annoying thing in the world.
Also, the Chiefs > Raiders. Just saying.

This woman constantly referred to it as Siobhan, my fetus, blah blah blah. Siobhan, my fetus, kicked me all night long. Siobhan, my fetus, is sitting on my bladder. Siobhan, my fetus, is stuck under my ribs. The entire pregnancy. Then she was like, "My baby was born. Here's a picture of little Jane. Isn't Jane cute? Isn't Jane adorable." I was totally skeeved out by the entire thing.

I understand doing something like that before knowing the sex of the child (my HS Latin teacher referred to her child as Xerxes before knowing the sex), but to completely separate the two is just weird.

Thanks everyone for the congrats and well wishes. we don't refer to the baby as fetus. It was a joke yesterday at the dr's office cause the ultrasound tech kept referring to it as a fetus. I'm a mutt and my wife is Italian but we all have a very tan complexion. Our son says he wants his sister but "she can't play with my cars, only mommies purse."

I love that your son has a Rock and Roll t shirt at such a young age. He listens to everything from The Beatles to Marilyn Manson to Disney music, to pop. When he listens to heavier stuff with me, he tries to throw up the horns and head bang, lol. Most of the time it ends up with him falling over.
