WCWA World Death Match Title Match
Necro Butcher (c)
vs.
Terry Funk
This is Terry Funk's WCWA in ring debut. How many people main event a show, in a title shot, in their debut? When you have a reputation that preceeds you like Terry Funk does, things like this happen.
The truth is, prior to Synthetic two weeks ago, neither of these participants would've predicted that this match would've been happening here. This is not a long standing grudge or rivalry. It only dates back to Delusions of Grandeur. But don't mistake the length of this feud for a lack of history or negative feelings.
At Delusions of Grandeur, The Necro Butcher filled a slot in the card to challenge for the World Death Match title, and won the championship. Had he just won the championship, no one would've had any problems with him. But in order to win that championship, he turned his back on his tag team partner and a World Tag Team title shot. And he aligned himself with Joey Eastman.
Terry Funk had a lot of problems with both of these things and confronted Necro Butcher on Synthetic two weeks ago. A heated in ring confrontation became physical and Necro got the best of Terry Funk. But it takes a lot to put Terry Funk down. No one's been able to do it yet, for good at least. And a message that Funk sent from his home, the Double Cross Ranch in Amarillo, Texas confirmed that he wasn't dead.
Now this week on Synthetic, Funk laces up the boots and rides to the ring one more time, this time to challenge his former student, a man he calls a son, for the World Death Match title. Could this be Funk's final ride? His retirement once and for all? Or will Professional Wrestling's Living Legend prove that all along, he still hasn't hit middle aged & crazy, and capture the WCWA World Death Match championship? This will be one for the record books..
Junior Heavyweight Grand Prix Match
Emil Sitoci
vs.
Michael Facade
The Junior Heavyweight Grand Prix is under way in full sail and on Synthetic, another match in the tournament will take place. Emil Sitoci got off to a rough start in the grand prix, taking a loss to Pac which cost him his World Junior Heavyweight title in his opening match. Michael Facade scored a big win in his first match, beating Jimmy Jacobs, but fell short in match two against SeXXXy Eddy. This is match two for Sitoci and match three for Facade. At the end of the tournament, each man will have four matches, with a possibility of four wins. And the man who comes out on top will be crowned the gauntlet winner.
Junior Heavyweight Grand Prix Match
WCWA World Junior Heavyweight Title Match
SeXXXy Eddy
vs.
Pac
Pac has one of the roughest roads ahead of him in the next few weeks. As the Junior Heavyweight Champion, he will be defending against several of the top challengers in succession as part of the Grand Prix. In Pac's opening grand prix match, he won the championship from Emil Sitoci and in match two, he defeated Jimmy Jacobs. Pac currently has a perfect record in the grand prix. Also currently with a perfect record is SeXXXy Eddy, who in his one grand prix match defeated Michael Facade. A multiple time former Junior Heavyweight champion, Eddy gets the chance to capture the title one more time this week on Synthetic, but he's got "The Man Gravity Forgot" standing between him and the championship.
Tag Team Match
The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero, Chuck Taylor, & Sara Del Ray)
vs.
The Messiah, Delirious, & LuFisto
The Kings of Wrestling have dominated and destroyed nearly every combination of wrestlers they've met in two on two, three on three, four on four, and even eight on eight action. This week on Synthetic, they do battle with ttwo wrestlers from the WCWA front who are fuming about the Kings systematic destruction of WCWA. Delirious, who has a fairly storied history with the Kings of Wrestling and LuFisto, a woman who has to be eyeballing Sara Del Ray's American Joshi championship. Will this team have the key to stop the Kings of Wrestling?
Tag Team Match
Lacey & Nate Webb (0)
vs.
Beef Wellington & Jimmy Jacobs (0)
Ummm.... Yeah. That's Jimmy Jacobs and Beef Wellington. Same team. I had to double check, with multiple people, to make sure it wasn't a typo.
Lacey left Jimmy Jacobs and disappeared. That's well documented at this point. When there are problems in wrestling, they're solved by matches.
Let's hope this solves.. something
WCWA International Title Match
Tommy End (c)
vs.
Shane Douglas
The former color commentator for Synthetic gets an opportunity at WCWA gold, his first, as he challenges "Unpredictable" Tommy End for the International title. While "The Franchise" has been working on gaining momentum in recent weeks, no one has more momentum than Tommy End. Tommy End has already made his plans clear. He's heading for Helter Skelter and he's heading for Claudio Castagnoli's World Heavyweight Championship. Tommy End has to get by Shane Douglas if he looks to continue his momentum and keep the International championship into Helter Skelter and that is no easy feit. Shane Douglas is a former ECW Heavyweight Champion, WCW United States Champion, XPW Heavyweight champion, and a sure fire hall of famer. Will he add "WCWA International Champion" to his lengthy resume on Synthetic?
Tag Team Match
The BLK Out (Allison Danger & Eddie Kingston) (1)
vs.
The North Star Express (Ryan Cruz & Darin Corbin) (0)
These kids aren't all right. Not talking about Kingston and Danger, who's sanity is likely in question as well, but the North Star Express. After an absolutely brutal ass kicking following Delusions of Grandeur, THE NORTH STAR EXPRESS ASKED FOR THIS REMATCH! Yeah.. We're not ones to condone manslaughter, but sometimes, people just have it coming.
