So, I'm just wondering how many people here would buy a sub, giving us 12 legends a year at 1 each month. Maybe a 2 pack every 3 months and a exclusive sub figure?

I would buy two subs, 1 MOC and 1 loose to support Legends.

We all know it won't happen, but for the sake of argument yes I would.

I don't know. Of the figures that they sold on Mattycollector, I bought Andre, The Rockers and DDP (and I bought Liz of course). No interest in Arn, Tully or Bundy at those prices. Even looking at the rest of the poll options they had...
I'd buy: Demolition Crush, Doink, Faarooq, Million Dollar Man
Wouldn't buy: Windham, Muraco, JYD, Magnum TA, One Man Gang
Maybe: Snuka, Savio Vega, Tito
So it'd be a big gamble knowing I could end up paying top dollar for a bunch of 80s/NWA guys I don't want.

I feel this would be the best way to get more legends out. Matty's figures didn't do so well because they didn't get much advertisment. I'm sure had they done a Tv spot on Raw, Main Event, Smackdown, Saturday Morning Slam etc.. They would have done better sales. The fact that Mattels product is leaps an bounds better than anything we have had in the past by wrestling toy products, the availability should be much higher than it is now.
Just names from 80's and 90's, maybe 2000,2001, and 2002 would be great. NWA, WWF, WCW, ECW, WCCW, all have great legends to choose from. But getting the heavy hitters out for the first sub would be key to its future existence. Goldberg, Hogan, Flair, LOD, DX, nWo, Freebirds, Horseman, Hart Foundation, are all great examples. I think if Mattel could hold polls on their social media networks, they can gauge the audiance to see what numbers they would be looking at, hell, its possible!

If they can get people like Flair,Windham etc. then I'm all for it,but some of the original legends picks were a tad obscure so...

Going by the MOTU sub, $27 a figue. Maybe $39 a 2 pack. Sub itself would be $65. $25 for the sub, $25 for the sub exclusive figure, plus tax.

Not only do I have to pay for the figure, I have to pay for the ability to pay for the figure. Would that $25 sub fee be every month or is it a one time thing? And $15 tax is outrageous.

As cool as it would be to get more classic wrestlers or attires I wouldn't be jumping on the bandwagon. Mattycollector is a horrible idea, their figures are over priced and you still have to pay tax and shipping on an already expensive figure. It's worse than being a store exclusive because stock isn't there like a normal product and the "exclusive" tag gives the seller then ability to rape you with an asinine price because you can't get it anywhere else. Matty would end up selling 1 figure for as much as, if not more than TRU charges for a BOPPV elite and then you have shipping and forget about using a coupon cause I haven't seen a coupon for Matty ever.

But with a premium price, you would get premium figures. Are they more expensive? Yes. But, they would also become rare. For those who buy now, and sell when they need money later, go ahead and look at the MOTU line. Some single carded figures are fetching from $50 to $120 each. Buying into the sub, you already pay for the 1 exclusive figure, minus tax and shipping. With a monthly charge of $25-$27 for 1 figure. Which is basically the cost of a RSC exclusive. Financially it would be like a RSC exclusive every month. Thus giving us between 13 and 21 figures a year for the flashback/Legends line.

Since they keep the subs secret probably not, but if they announce them all and I like the choices then yes.

I would as long as the prices were reasonable. I would prefer it if 4 were all released at once every 3 months though to avoid having to pay shipping costs on every single figure. I wouldnt want to pay more than 100 shipped per lot either becuse there is a good chance I might not really want a few of them.

I probably wouldn't get a sub but it's not a bad idea. Only make the amount of figures that there are subscriptions, and there would be a profit made. No there wouldn't. Unless there were several thousand subscriptions. They wouldn't make a profit on a run of four hundred figures, for example.

As far as I know once you purchase the sub they only charge for the figure every month (or however often they are released) as for purchasing the sub. I'd only do it if there were lots of 80's guys like Muraco, Santana, Magnum, Windham, etc...but if it was like this past years DC sub were I only wanted 2 of the 6 figures then it's an easy pass.

In all honesty, no. I'd love the legends line to return and I understand this would sort of be a way to, but I'm not that enamored with the names they released as choices way back when. Going by that and the figures they've released in the elite line, if be happy to leave it at that.
