So I am meeting Shawn Michaels in about a month at an autograph signing and debating on what I should have him sign? I recently picked up a MOC Elite 19 Shawn Michaels w/European belt, but also I have an old Shawn Michaels biker hat the WWF sold through their merch catalog back in 1995/96 picture below. The hat may be less common, but I think the figure will look better 'on display' than just the hat. Thoughts?

That's a tough choice, but I think you are right with getting the figure signed. It will look cooler than the hat.

Get the hat signed and put it on one of those mannequin heads. It would look better in a display case than a figure would in my opinion.

I'd sign the hat. Shawn is a nice guy he'd probably sign both for you he signed my belt and a figure for me.

Neither. Get his issue of Playgirl magazine. I'd love to see his face when you pulled that out for him!

That is a really hard decision, I think they'd both look great in sliver but I get what your saying about displaying them. Obviously the figure can get hung up, but the mannequin idea is brilliant.
I've never met shawn, but most wrestlers re happy enough to sign two things. Daniel Bryan signed 3 things for me and personalised them.
I'd try your hat, ahem, at getting both signed. If it comes down to one, choose which one means more to you. In my opinion, you can get a signed figure easy enough, but the hat isn't common so I'd pick that. It's really up to you though.

the Hat brother.. classic, reminds me of an msg house show in 95 when he teamed with diesel against Bret Hart Razor Ramon
almost like choosing between Brets glasses or a figure.. get the hat signed, then find a picture of HBK rocking that style hat and print it out and create a display case/ setup... that along with his red glove or a black diesel power glove would make one heck of a display..
i'm not a big fan of getting autographs on figures over these more important items..

I had that hat. Pretty sweet. I would have him sign the figure though.

Thanks guys, appreciate all of your feedback. I was almost certain I was going with the figure, but now I am thinking twice because of some very solid points by everyone. Anyone know if I bring my own marker to these signings? (If say, I wanted him to sign in silver or pink marker and the vendor only has black Sharpies?) I've never been to one of these before. Well not since I met the Macho Man at the Cherry Hill Mall in NJ in 1992.

Firstly, congratulations. I idolise HBK and I consider you so lucky to be meeting him.
Secondly, I have both that hat & the E19 HBK and I would definitely suggest the E19 figure.
Awesome figure. Great HBK moment. Would look great, better than the hat IMO.
But it's your choice, and enjoy meeting HBK.

Most autograph signings have plenty of sharpies, but if you want a certain color or type of pen, it's not a great idea to just assume they'll have it. If you want it in silver, I'd most definitely bring a silver pen just in case.

I just upgraded my ticket to allow for 4 autographs, so now I will get both the hat and figure signed, but am looking for suggestions for other things I should have signed or other figures? Anyone know of a good site or place to get high quality, high definition photos from late 80s wrestling through the mid/late 90s?
Mods, sorry if this post is in the wrong section, please move if this is not in the appropriate area, but since it pertains to Mattel figures I posted here originally. Thanks!
