We’re hit up by the usual opening video (one day we’ll actually have a video, complete with a theme, I swear) followed by a big pyrotechnics display (we won’t have a real one of those, we’re not made of money) and a sweeping shot of the arena as the fans cheer loudly, knowing that they’ve got a blockbuster show ahead of them. As they continue to go bad we head straight down to the announce table and our not so esteemed team of Alecia Matthews and Samael Ahriman.
Alecia Matthews: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to WFWF Revolution! We’re just one show away from WFWF Battleground and with so much momentum on the line tonight everybody will be looking to make an impact.
Samael Ahriman: Plus we’ve been promised the reveal of both Team Demon and Team Xavier’s fourth man, and a huge contest between father and daughter. There’s nothing more personal than that.
Alecia Matthews: Plus I know for a fact we’ve got a certain special guest here tonight who has a few words on tonight’s main event.
Samael Ahriman: Wait, what? Who? Why are you being told things and I’m not?
Alecia Matthews: Because girl power man, girl power. Oh, and here she is now.
The arena lights fall and as shades of purple sprinkle through the arena, the sound of Jimi Hendrix’ “Purple Haze” breaks though as Vanessa McGurk makes her way down to the ring.
Samuel Ahriman: If there’s anyone who’s got their entire life at stake for tonight’s main event, it’s this woman.
Alecia Matthews: A Former Women’s Champion and the first woman to ever hold the WFWF International Championship, it’s been almost four years since she’s stepped foot in a WFWF ring.
Vanessa motions up the steps and slips between the middle and bottom rope, walking towards the middle now as the fans in attendance greet the WFWF legend with a strong ovation. Vanessa takes the microphone from the ring announcer and gives herself a moment as crowd erupts in a “Welcome Back” chant.
Vanessa: Thank you, thank you. Standing in this ring right now and hearing all that, it gives me chills. It’s something I haven’t felt in a long time and when you start to distance yourself from this business, you forget all about the little things like this. So thank you.
Vanessa pauses to another applause from the crowd.
Vanessa: Unfortunately for me, I’m not here to perform. In fact, I shouldn’t even be out here right now. I’m here because tonight, I have to stand back and watch the two suns that my world revolves around come into battle. It’s killing me and before anyone starts placing bets or speculating on what’s going to happen, I felt that it was important to come here and explain to everyone here tonight just what this whole match is really about.
Vanessa pauses for a beat.
Vanessa: A little over one year ago, without any formal training, my daughter decided to be a wrestler. Wayne and I knew it was coming, but like many things, we really didn’t know what to expect until it actually happened. So we kept our distance and hoped for the best… It was all we could do. A lot has happened to Scarlett over the course of the last year and we’d be lying if we said that we aren’t proud of her- the first belt she managed to win happened to be the World Championship. She’s survived every ordeal thrown at her. I’m proud of her, I know she can take care of herself. But what hardly anyone gets is that our worries doesn’t come from Scarlett, no-
Vanessa turns her head towards the back.
Vanessa: it comes from everybody back there! She’s the WFWF World Champion, that’s makes her a walking target for anyone looking to get an easy win out of her and what sickens me the most is that many of those people back there watched her grow up before their eyes. Unknowingly, they’ve earned her trust and respect-, which is already hard enough to get from her. And if there’s anything that really sickens me the most is that many of these men will throw all that away for an easy shot to be the next World Champion. It’s sad, but it’s true.
Vanessa takes another pause before looking at the fans in attendance.
Vanessa: Having you people cheer this on doesn’t help either. When it honestly comes to the personal lives and the well being of wrestlers, most of you couldn’t care less.
Boos scatter.
Vanessa: Hear me out before you cast the first stone. You people paid to come here tonight and as long as we feed you all the action and drama and violence you crave, you’ll keep coming back for more. And you’re going to start wanting more and who can blame you? You can throw out money and watch from a safe distance as bodies break and personal lives unravel, and it’s what gets you off. And if I’m a b*tch for wanting to keep my daughter away from all that, so be it. But neither Wayne nor I will allow her to be crucified out here for your personal amusement.
Samael Ahriman: Those are strong words.
Alecia Matthews: You can’t hate her for it. Everything she said is true.
Vanessa: Well, you’ve paid your money. All the boys in the back are going to be watching tonight’s main event with the hope that Wayne at least puts a dent on Scarlett and everyone’s happy… Well, I’m not happy! The fact that my husband and my daughter have allowed a simple misunderstanding to come to this is killing me and the fact that people are out there are even getting a kick out of this reminds me so much of why I left this business in the first place! All I want is just for the three of us to be happy again… Is that really too much to ask for?
Scarlett has emerged from the back. With a t-shirt over her wrestling gear and without her title belt, Scarlett makes the walk to the ring, her eyes solely directed on her mother. Slipping into the ring, Scarlett stands before her mother and the two women look at each other, exchanging words that are drowned out by the noise from the audience. With a nod, Scarlett closes her eyes and throws her arms around each other. Vanessa holds her back, tears streaming down her face. They continue to exchange words, whispering into one another’s ear. And just after a couple brief moments, Scarlet releases heself from her mother’s arms and walks away. A lone solitary woman making her exit as WFWF Revolution cuts to a commercial break.

Alecia Matthews: Our first match of this evening pits the WFWF’s huge signing in Ace Andrews going against both Beast Kahn and Andrew Carter in a triple threat match.
Samael Ahriman: Ace Andrews is a two-time, two-time, XWA World Heavyweight Champion and is a close friend of our very own Trace Demon, smart man to side with Demon.
Alecia Matthews: It could also be very well his death in this promotion.
Samael Ahriman: Shut up Alecia. Trace Demon is a great man, and will hopefully give me a raise for my kind words.
Alecia Matthews: Are you seriously winking at the camera?
Christa Adina: The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from the Middle East, weighing in at 325 pounds: Beast Kahn!
Khan walks out as the music plays. Khan stares at the crowd and bows then walks to the ring. When walking down the ramp, a white pyro fumes off the ramp. When he reaches the steps, he stops and does Muslim hand motions then enters the ring ready for the fight.
Christa Adina: And his opponent, from the City of Angels, weighing in at 220 pounds: Andrew Carter!
Carters theme begins and he walks out from behind the curtain. He throws up his fist into the air mid way onto the ramp. Carter runs to the ring and hops onto the apron, outside the ropes, and turns around to stare at the crowd for a nice 10-15 seconds until he finally enters the ring. Carter goes to each turn buckle and throws up both fists. He then prepares for the upcoming match.
Alecia Matthews: Andrew Carter is the WFWF veteran of this match and wants to make a name for himself in the WFWF.
The crowd is tense within the Arena. The card has been great so far, but now the crowd can visibly be seen tensing, as the lights dim once more and the PA system crackling into life with the sounds of 'Bittersweet Symphony' by The Verve. The music is classy and brilliant, but when the voice finally kicks in, its not the expected voice but instead the harsh voice of Mike Shinoba.
3...2...1...Let's Go
This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill Fifteen percent concentrated power of will Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain
AND A HUNDRED PERCENT REASON TO REMEMBER THE NAME!
And as the 'Remember the Name/Bittersweet Symphony' mix kicks in to high gear, a single golden light illuminates the stage, revealing the back of Ace Andrews in a glittering robe. Ace stands there just for a moment, basking in the hatred from the crowd, before throwing his hands up high with the Ace of Spades handsign, causing a long row of pyro to explode on both sides of the stage. Now the Billionaire Brawler starts to pace down the ramp, smirking the entire way and keeping himself as far away from the fans as possible, while inside the ring Laura Watts steps forward and raises her mike.
Christa Adina: “Introducing first, hailing from Las Vegas, Nevada. He stands in at 6 feet 2 inches tall. He is The Platinum Made Playboy, ACE ANNNNNNDREWS!!!!”
Ace now climbs the ring steps, and paces across the apron, looking out at the crowd with a sneer. Ace then steps between the middle and top ropes. Ace steps to the center of the ring, once more looking up at the rafters and raising his hands high with a smirk. After a brief few moments pause, Ace steps away from the center of the ring, undoes and then slips off his robe, and hands it to a roadie on the outside. Now he is ready to wage war against his opponent.
Samael Ahriman: What an entrance. This new signee is my pick for this opening contest.
Alecia Matthews: All eyes are on Andrew Carter as he makes his return following a brief hiatus from the company.
Samael Ahriman: Beast Kahn could very well be the dark horse of this match. Not much is known about our Savior of the Islams.
The referee signals for the bell as all three men look to find the first opening. Beast Kahn rushes towards Ace Andrews but is dumped over the top rope.
Alecia Matthews: The cheap ones in the nose bleeds could feel the impact of Kahn hitting the ringside floor.
Andrew Carter goes and delivers a Super Kick to Andrews and goes for the win but Andrews kicks out immediately of Carter’s attempt at victory. Kahn proceeds to reenter the ring but both Carter and Andrews dropkick him back to the ringside floor.
Samael Ahriman: Great ring awareness by the newest WFWF signee.
Alecia Matthews: Don’t forget, Andrew Carter just almost snuck the victory against your man.
Samael Ahriman: Whatever.
Andrews connects with a clothesline that levels Andrew carter. And now a Submission attempt as Andrews locks in the Figure Four Leglock. Beast Kahn slides into the ring and connects with a huge splash on the prone body of Ace Andrews!
Samael Ahriman: Can somebody please tell that Muslim man to stop eating McDonalds? He just almost crushed my number one pick.
Alecia Matthews: Impressive move by Kahn as momentum sways into his way for the first time of this match.
Khan picks up the motionless body of Ace Andrews and chucks him across the ring. Andrews slides out of the ring for a breather as Carter unloads with boxing combinations on the big man.
Alecia Matthews: These boxing shots not affecting the monster. It’s only making him angrier.
Beast Kahn grabs Carter by the hair and picks him up like a Big Mac. Kahn throws him onto his shoulders and delivers a spin-out fireman’s carry face buster! (An F5 for you incompetent fans) Kahn goes for the fall but only receives a two-count.
Alecia Matthews: Tremendous display of heart shown here by Andrew Carter.
Samael Ahriman: Yeah, yeah, and yeah. Ace Andrews is still in this match.
Ace Andrews reenters the ring and violently kicks Beast Khan in the back of his head. Kahn falls to the ground seemingly knocked out cold. WFWF officials roll the big man out of the ring as Andrews and Carter look on in disbelief.
Samael Ahriman: Holy hell! What a kick!
Alecia Matthews: Impressive debut here on WFWF Revolution for Ace Andrews, but this match isn’t over yet.
Andrew Carter and Ace Andrews both circle around each other as they try and find the next opening. Andrews and Carter lock up as Andrews connects with a giant suplex. He climbs up to the top rope connects with a huge moonsault.
…1…
…2…
Carter kicks out again much to the delight of the WFWF Universe. Andrews gets up and starts arguing with the referee. Carter sneaks up with a roll-up.
…1…
…2…
Kickout!
Alecia Matthews: Impressive showing by both men here tonight!
Samael Ahriman: I am being told that Beast Khan is being treated medically for Concussion like symptoms backstage.
Alecia Matthews: That’s not good Samael. I hope he gets better. Love you hon.
Samael Ahriman: Oh shut up. Nobody wants to hear you bullcrap.
Both men lock up once again as they both exchange blows. Carter got the advantage early as he drops Andrews with a Cutter out of nowhere! He goes for the pin.
…1…
…2…
Kickout by Ace Andrews! The fans are on the edge of their seats as both men get up slowly at different corners of the ring. Andrews sprints at Carter, but Carter jumps over the Ace and quickly rolls him up.
…1…
…2…
Another kickout by Ace Andrews! Andrew Carter stands back up and heads towards the body of Ace Andrews. Carter picks him up and puts him on his shoulders. Wasteland! Carter hits a Wasteland! He goes for the pin.
…1…
…2…
Kickout!
Alecia Matthews: What a match; impressive showing by both men.
Samael Ahriman: It’s still not over yet. Come on Andrews!
Both men get up and they’re both exhausted. Andrews gets up by the ropes and charges at Carter. SPEAR! Andrews hits a huge spear as both men collapse in the center of the ring. Beast Kahn slowly walks his way down to the ring with fresh stitches in the back of his head.
Samael Ahriman: He’s back! Kahn’s back!
Alecia Matthews: This shouldn’t end well for Ace Andrews and Andrew Carter.
Samael Ahriman: My money is on Beast Kahn now!
Kahn reenters the ring and delivers a round of splashes on both men! He keeps on going around the ring delivering splashes to both men in the ring! He gets back up but accidentally runs over the referee.
Samael Ahriman: Ref is down! The referee is down!
Alecia Matthews: A game changer in this opening contest!
Kahn tries to revive the referee, as both Andrews and Carter slide underneath the bottom rope. Both men head over to the timekeeper’s area and take a steel chair each.
Alecia Matthews: This doesn’t end well.
Both Andrews slide back into the ring on opposite sides of the squared circle. Ace sizes Kahn up and BOOM! Chair shot to the immense stomach of Beast Kahn. Andrew Carter follows up with a huge chair shot to the back of Beast Kahn!
Alecia Matthews: How is Kahn still standing?
Samael Ahriman: The man is a beast… See what I did there?
Alecia Matthews: You’re not funny and nobody likes you.
Samael Ahriman: That’s not what your mom said last night…
Kahn collapses to the canvas as Andrews and Carter stare a hole into each other. Our WFWF official is back up as both men quickly throw their chairs out of the ring and circle each other once again. Collar and elbow lock up as Ace Andrews come out on top. Headlock applied as Andrews cusses out the fans. Carter slips put and delivers a huge German Suplex! He goes for the pin.
…1…
…2…
Kickout! Both men get right back up and continue chain wrestling. It’s Ace’s time as he gives Carter a Half-Nelson Suplex! He goes for the pinfall.
…1…
…2…
Samael Ahriman: This could be it!
Alecia Matthews: Thre… wait a minute!
Before the officials hand can hit the canvas for a count of three Ace Andrews is hauled up onto his feet by the goliath Beast Kahn who has two hands wrapped around his head. Kahn lifts Ace up overhead and walks to the ropes, throwing him straight over with a gorilla press slam. As Ace hits the floor hard Kahn turns his attention back to Carter, grabbing him, pulling him up onto his feet and then delivering a thunderous Broken in Two, capitalising upon the move by going for the cover.
…1…
…2…
…3…
Alecia Matthews: What an impressive way to win, Beast Kahn getting his first victory in the WFWF in a match that had three very impressive performances.
Samael Ahriman: These three guys could all be stars, it’s just a matter of who steps up.
As Beast Kahn stands tall in the ring, stoically appreciating the victory, Ace Andrews sits on the outside, rubbing his head after being sent flying out of the ring. He’s certainly not happy with the way he lost, feeling like Kahn robbed him of the victory, but for tonight he’s got no choice but to suck it up.
We head backstage to the surprisingly professional looking office of WFWF co-owner and International Champion Trace Demon, the man himself casually sitting behind his desk with his feet up and his ring gear already on, albeit covered by his regular and iconic anarchy hoodie that has probably seen more action than most men will ever dream off. He’s looking through a stack of papers though as he reads each one he throws it to the floor nonchalantly, clearly he doesn’t care about what he’s doing. This is the man running the company ladies and gentlemen, a true businessman if there’s ever been one. Seconds pass, the dramatic tension building with every beat, until the door opens up and Trace’s eyes are drawn to the doorway where Shawn Malakai now stands, just a few moments before he is scheduled to go and face Dave Demento and Randel Benjamin.
Shawn Malakai: What’s the deal Trace?
Trace Demon: I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about.
Shawn Malakai: Don’t play dumb with me Trace; I know you booked this damn handicap match just a week away from the biggest match of my career; I want to know what your game is.
Trace Demon: I don’t like your tone Shawn, I’m a fair man, I’m unbiased in my match making. I don’t book matches to try and help people or hinder others; otherwise there’d be a bunch of eight on one barbed wire rope matches on every card.
The two share a cautious look at each other as something clicks into place.
Shawn Malakai: You tried booking an eight on one barbed wire rope match, didn’t you?
Trace Demon: The network just weren’t having it, said it’d be a massacre and that they just weren’t interested. Damn shame I say, would’ve made for some great television.
Shawn Malakai: Bring it back on topic man, why’d you book the match? Protecting Scarlett doesn’t feel like your style, unless it’s because you think you’ve got a better chance of beating her than you do me?
A sly grin comes across Trace’s face, yet another signature look that nobody enjoys seeing on his face.
Trace Demon: Did you just imply that I think I might have trouble beating you? Don’t answer that, because it’s so stupid that you couldn’t possibly have suggested it. Shawn let me remind you that I’ve actually been the WFWF World Champion. More importantly, I’ve not lost a single match in fifteen months and you’re actually gonna suggest that I don’t think I can beat you. Man you’ve either got a lot of balls or not a lot of brains.
Malakai doesn’t take too kindly to being insulted like that, the number one contender to the WFWF World Championship stepping forward and slamming his hands on the desk in a show of intimidation. Trace, never one to care, responds by picking up a stack of his papers and then casually throwing them in and around Shawn Malakai’s face. Malakai looks ready to explode.
Trace Demon: If you don’t get out of my office right now, then maybe you don’t get your shot at the title, maybe you open the show against some random guy I pull out from the crowd.
Shawn Malakai: You wouldn’t dare.
Trace Demon: Try me.
It’s a tense moment, at least for Shawn Malakai. Trace Demon remains sat, a wide grin on his face almost daring Malakai to do something so that he can follow up on his face. Malakai wants the World Championship more than he wants to lay out Trace Demon though and makes the smart choice of backing away.
Shawn Malakai: This isn’t over.
And with that Malakai makes his exit, leaving Trace sitting there, watching him go.
Trace Demon: Oh I’m counting on it.
And on his knowing glare we cut to our second commercial break of the evening.

Samael Ahriman: Well we have some footage of a newcomer to the WFWF, he calls himself The Golden Boy and has quite a following on the Internet, we sent an interviewer out to see him and here's what he and the camera crew got, this is Jayson Garrett.
Inside a large house.
Daniel Knight rings doorbell, out comes a man holding a glass of water dressed in a nice polo shirt and khakis.
Jayson Garrett: Hello there, you must be my interviewer, well come on in, make yourself at home.
The camera pans into the house, it is basically a mansion.
Jayson Garrett: Let me guess, you're here for my life story, huh?
Daniel Knight: Well...yeah. That IS why I was sent here.
Jayson Garrett: Well I really don't think there's any need for that, I mean, I'm sure EVERYONE already knows it. Wait one minute, you don't know who I am, didn't you do your homework? You know, some Google searches, the Internet is my business you know. Well here’s a little refresher for you, my name is Jayson Garrett, and I’m the most popular person on the Internet today. I have over 5 million people waiting to watch every single video I put out, every single Tweet I send, every picture I post and status update, I am the center of the Internet, and the whole entire Internet community revolves around me. I am the most viewed, most followed, and the most searched person in history, you’re lucky I even let you come into my home today.
Daniel Knight is clearly getting a bit squirmish as this is all being pressed upon him.
Jayson Garrett: I am a modern-day Elvis; I have legions of fans that swarm me when I try to have a nice outing down in LA. In fact, I’ve had to stop hanging out with some celebrities because I embarrass them when we walk down the street. They hold their heads in shame when I get stopped for autographs and pictures while they’re ignored, heck, they usually have to take the picture for those fans, the same people that made them a success. Now whenever I’m hanging out with Kanye West or Kobe Bryant they get brushed off to the side because their stardom pales in comparison to mine. You’ve probably never been hounded for interviews before when you’re trying to eat lunch, or even recognized on a city street because you’re just average. I’m above average, no, I’m way above average, I’m the greatest man that’s ever stepped foot in a ring and you will see that once I make my long awaited debut. Now if you’ll excuse me, your time with me is up, I’ll be seeing you in the WFWF.
Garrett escorts Daniel Knight right out of the door from whence he came, slamming it behind him. We go back to the commentators.
Alecia Matthews: Well...that was not very nice of him.
Samael Ahriman: Daniel has had it rough. From what I heard, he recently passed out from drinking scotch. A f*cking drink of scotch. Poor guy.
Alecia Matthews: You actually feel bad for him?
Samael Ahriman: Nope. I am just pointing out something that happened to him earlier in the week when he went into a meeting with one of the new guys. I heard it was funny.
As the opening quote of "Cult of Personality” hits the speakers the lights in the arena dim down as a spotlight hits the top of the entrance stage. The spotlight reveals a man on one knee with his hoodie covering his head. The song picks up as Dave Demento jumps up and panders to the crowd. He goes to one side of stage and fouls mouth a fan. He comes back to the middle and declares "It's night Time!" Right behind him, Randel Benjamin.
Christa Adina: The following handicap match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, at a combined weight of six hundred and eleven pounds we have Dave Demento and Randel Benjamin.
Demento stands at the top of the stage and stares at the ring. He proceeds to make his way down the ramp, Benjamin following behind him, and continues to stare a hole into his opponent. He reaches the ring and proceeds to make an "X" with his arms as he turns around showing the fans. Demento slowly stalks his way into the ring while reciting the song. He climbs up the turnbuckle and motions towards the ramp as if he's shooting his opponent with an arrow. Demento jumps down and sits in the corner getting ready for his match. Benjamin kind of stands there.
"Slip Out" by Beck resonates throughout the arena as the arena starts to dim. The crowd lets out a steady boo as there is motion behind the curtain.
Christa Adina: And the opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Thunder and David Williams, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, weighting in at two hundred and ninety mounds he is Shawn Malakai.
From behind the curtain comes Shawn Malakai, and as Adina mentioned, his group so affectionately called Camp Malakai, Thunder and David Williams. The men begin to make their way down to the ring, both trying to feed wisdom to Malakai.
Alecia Matthews: This is quite the interesting matchup we have here. Benjamin and Demento have gone on and on forever about how they want to take Xavier down a peg, and now they get a chance by taking on Shawn Malakai. But this is a handicap match. I get that they both want revenge, but is a handicap match really necessary though?
Samael Ahriman: Trace Demon had a hand in booking this match. It is the worst kept secret ever. He is pitting two men against the one man he needs most desperately to lose next week. Frankly, I am not quite sure if Trace has ever wanted anyone to lose in a match more, maybe not even his own opponents. If Malakai manages to pull out a win at Battleground, whatever Team Trace does is in vein. If Malakai wins, Xavier still has ahold of the company by way of having the WFWF Champion on his side. The only way for Trace to gain complete control over the company is to have that title in the possession of someone who is working with him. Malakai is the biggest threat to Trace and his hope at controlling the WFWF, and knowing Trace, he will stop at nothing to make sure Malakai does not make it out of Battleground with the title. ANd if he has his way, I imagine Malakai would not even get the chance to make Battleground at all which is why he has his two pet lions going after Malakai in this match. I hope Malakai and company are prepared for a fight. I think this is going to get really, really ugly.
Malakai enters the ring and the referee calls for the bell.
DING DING DING
Malakai and Benjamin start the match off, the two big men of the match set to make this one an instant classic. While no one was going into this expecting a wrestling clinic, Benjamin and Malakai tie up. Much to the chagrin of Malakai, clear as day on his face, he is being overpowered by the big man Benjamin. Malakai has the size advantage, but aside from ZMaster he has never encountered a man that can equal his brute strength.
Talk about a wake up call.
Benjamin puts Malakai into a headlock and quickly takes him over the shoulder with a side lock snapmare. Benjamin pulls himself up quickly and puts a boot to Malakai’s face before he can retaliate. Benjamin uses the ropes as a kickstart and leaps off of his feet, driving his elbow, and his full monster frame right into the gut and chest of Malakai, who is now on his side, holding his sternum, his eyes bulging. Benjamin stomps on Malakai’s exposed ribs and the side of his stomach, and when Malakai goes to defend, he is met with another boot to the face.
Alecia Matthews: Smart by Benjamin. Keep him down.
Samael Ahriman: I could not agree more. But I know Malakai better than most, and the same goes for his Camp that is circling around the ring like a pack of rabid dogs. Something will happen that will get him to get back into it.
Benjamin pulls Malakai up and tucks his shoulder in, charging and ramming Malakai into the corner. Over and over, Benjamin shoves his hog like shoulders into the gut of Malakai like a battering ram. The tag is made to Demento.
Alecia Matthews: In comes Demento.
Demento delivers a quick kick to the gut of Malakai and pulls him out of the corner and struggles to get the big man up, but manages to get him with a Northern Lights Suplex, complete with a bridge pin attempt.
… 1 …
… 2 …
…
Malakai kicks out at two.
Alecia Matthews: Woah. Demento showing off some strength and skill there.
Samael Ahriman: He started out as the mouthpiece for Benjamin, but after their rather intense feud with Ripp Jackson and Thunder about a year or so back, Demento has blossomed into quite the in ring performer. He dropped weight, got stronger and more serious. He is not simply a mouth anymore. Malakai needs to remember that this dog has a lot of bite.
Demento smirks, his lip ring glistening under the lights. Demento goes off of the ropes and hits a leg drop on Malakai, but fails to go for the count. Instead he picks up Malakai and delivers a combination of kicks to the gut of Malakai. He does for a slashing kick to the head, but at the last minute Malakai ducks under. Demento spins out and around, only for Malakai to do a double leg take down and start hammering away at Demento’s face.
Samael Ahriman: Well now you have done it, Demento. You pissed him off. Why on earth did you have to do that?
Malakai grabs ahold of Demento’s throat and starts ramming his head into the mat over and over. The ref is calling for Malakai to break but he refuses. Benjamin gets into the ring, and that causes Malakai to stand up, release, and deliver a string clothesline to the giant. It failed. He tried again and the big man stumbled but failed to fall. Once again Malakai tries, instead throwing his shoulder into the gut of the big guy. No damage.
Samael Ahriman: Who the f*ck is this guy? The f*cking Great Wall?
Demento is starting to come to and is crawling towards Benjamin for aid, but Benjamin does not see this so he does not know that Demento is essentially under his feet. Malakai notices though and charges the ropes, unleashing a hellacious super kick to the jaw of Benjamin, the big man stumbling backwards, tripping over Demento, and crashing….hard…to the mat. His force causes him to roll out of the ring.
Samael Ahriman: He got Benjamin down! Take advantage Shawn.
Almost as if on cue, Malakai grabs Demento by the scruff of the neck, once again placing his hand around the throat of Demento, but this time Malakai sweeps his leg underneath Dementos and drops the man with a violent STO.
Samael Ahriman: Game over.
Cover.
… 1 …
… 2 …
…
Kickout by Demento.
Samael Ahriman: …he…he kicked out?
Malakai, Thunder, Williams, the fans, the commentators and just about everyone at home watching is fit to be tied. The match should be over. Instead, Demento delayed the finish. Malakai, enraged, picks up Demento and chucks him at the ropes. Demento ricochets. Malakai attempts a modified 19:15 but Demento ducks under. As Malakai turns around, Demento takes advantage of his new found skill and speed, springboarding off of the ropes and dropping Malakai with an Air Clothesline. Both men are down.
Alecia Matthews: Holy sh*t. What a comeback by Demento.
The crowd is going ballistic right now, loving this. So are Thunder and Williams, but for a completely different reason. In the ring, the referee is beginning his count for the exhausted athletes.
… 1 …
… 2 …
… 3 …
… 4 …
… 5 …
Both men begin to stir.
… 6 …
… 7 …
…
Both men are now on their feet, but holding one another up. Each is trying to punch the other off, but neither really has much left in the tank to do anything. Malakai makes a strong effort, shoving Demento off, but Demento retaliates with a sickening kick to the head of Malakai, who hits the mat with a thud.
Alecia Matthews: Good night, sweet prince.
With his finisher connecting, Demento smiles as he cockily covers Malakai, elbow over, no hook.
… 1 …
… 2 …
…
Malakai kicks out just before the referees hand hits. Thunder and Williams are jumping around like loons on the outside.
Samael Ahriman: …what?
Alecia Matthews: …what?
Dave Demento: …what?
Everyone is in disbelief.
Samael Ahriman: People kicking out of finishers. What in the blue hell is this? Super Brawl?
Cheap plug, Super Brawl is right around the corner. Tell your friends. We need bodies.
Demento puts his hands together and places them under his ear, calling for his final maneuver. The crowd is growing restless with excitement. Malakai is pulled up by Demento, kicked in the gut and lifted up for The Sleeper. But on the outside, things were beginning to stir. Williams climbs up onto the apron and is distracting the ref. Annoyed, Demento drops Malakai down and goes to confront the Brit. Conveniently, the Brit’s gripe was ended and he goes to the floor next to Thunder. Demento turns around and somehow manages to evade a boot by Malakai. Demento charges to the corner and tags in Benjamin.
Samael Ahriman: Benjamin in on the hot tag.
Benjamin climbs into the ring, a head of steam. He and Malakai charge one another, Malakai ducking under a clothesline by Benjamin. Changing direction with the ricochet, Malakai bounces off of the far rope and hits Benjamin with a cross body. The big man goes down.
Samael Ahriman: GOT HIM.
Malakai mounts the big man and starts to pound on the face of Benjamin into the ref forces him to break. The big man is up, raising his arms and screaming loud, the fans soaking it in.
Alecia Matthews: Malakai hearing something he has not heard in a while, cheers.
Samael Ahriman: Well that kind of happens when you go against a loud mouth and a lackey. The fans gravitate towards the lesser of two evils.
Malakai begins to stalk behind Benjamin and prepare for the kick of a lifetime. Demento is yelling at the ref about the count from the beat to the face. The ref directs his attention to the aggrevated Demento. Benjamin starts to stir. Malakai goes for the 19:15 but he misses. Benjamin somehow avoids the massive kick, but he is clearly dazed. In an instant, Thunder hops up onto the apron and is yelling at the ref. The ref now directs his attention to Thunder. There is a commotion at the commentator table.
Samael Ahriman: What the hell are you doing Williams? That is my katana.
The ref distracted, Williams hurls the sheathed katana into the ring, Malakai having it in his hands now. Benjamin, dazed still, turns around and takes a huge hit to the gonads from the sheathe, and then a hit to the head. Demento is screaming, Malakai throwing the sheathe out of the ring to Williams who kicks it under the ring. With Benjamin on his knees, Malakai takes advantage and charges, hitting the 19:15 on the injured Benjamin. Demento, furious, goes to go into the ring, but Williams, hanging out down low by the apron, grabs ahold of Dementos foot, preventing him from entering the ring. The ref counts.
… 1 …
… 2 …
… 3 …
The ref calls for the bell.
Christa Adina: Here is your winner, Shawn Malakai.
Malakai pops up, smiling wryly as the fans are now booing.
Alecia Matthews: Well…turns out the fans do not like him after all.
Samael Ahriman: Well…the manner in which he won…using my katana nonetheless…I can hardly blame the fans. But does it really matter? Somehow Malakai has managed to continue to win, his appearance diminishing but still managing to pull it…hey…wait, in ring…
Yeah, good call sending the cameras back there. David Williams is down for the count. Demento grabbed ahold of him following the match and chucked him into the barricade. Upon entering the ring, the two men began to beat on Malakai. Thunder rolled in to defend but to little avail. Thunder is taken down quickly by Benjamin, the much bigger man, and now both Benjamin and Demento take their frustrations and attentions to Malakai. The beat down is really, really ugly. Malakai is trying to fight back…but he can barely cover up at this point. Benjamin and Demento are going to town. The crowd is going crazy as Demento uses all of his strength to lift Malakai up onto his shoulders.
Samael Ahriman: Well, goodnight Malaki…hey…the crowd…
Someone in a dark black hoodie and jeans is bolting down the stairway and practically leaps the barricade in a single stride. The man rolls into the ring and destroys Demento with a killer, killer spear. Malakai falls on top of Demento, his weight crushing the man. The man turns his attention to the giant Benjamin, who is seething. This hooded man is clearly much smaller than Benjamin, and he appears to know this, using a type of hit and run strategy, dealing significant damage with quick blows, allowing himself to get away before Benjamin can grab ahold of him. Alas though, Benjamin is clearly capable of enduring quite a bit of damage. The attack continues when suddenly, from out of no where comes Thunder, chair in hand. The hooded man is charging in Benjamins direction and Thunder tosses the chair up in front of Benjamin and this hooded assailant leaves his feet and hits a violent dropkick into the chair, which connects with the head of Benjamin, who crashes down to the mat. As Demento rolls out of the ring and tries to drag Benjamin out to save him from further assault, the crowd goes nuts from what they just saw.
Samael Ahriman: Sheesh. Very confusing crowd. But who the f*ck is that guy?
The crowd is cheering “Hoodie Guy” very loudly.
…it just got louder as the man took off his hood. But instead, it is a rain of boos.
Underneath the hood, the man who came in for the rescue, none other than former New Epoch member Ace Bennett. The crowd is livid that they just cheered for such a hated man.
Samael Ahriman: Wooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Malakai said he had backup in store for these two. F*cker was not kidding. Ace f*cking Bennett.
In ring, Bennett is looking around at the crowd, smirking, as Thunder whispers something to him and he seems to nod in agreement, whatever it is.
Samael Ahriman: Team Malakai seems to have a new member…and if he is truly here to help Malakai, on top of whatever agenda he may have hidden…Xaviers stock just shot waaaaaaaaaaaaaay up, even if Ace is not on Team Xavier. Just for Ace to help Xaviers top guy out, no matter the reason, Trace Demon has got to be sh*tting bricks. Talk about having an ace up your sleeve. This just got a whole lot more interesting.
Alecia Matthews: You know, after Malakais attack on Thunder a while back and Browns attack on Schneider, you would think that we would wise up and not allow men run down to the ring in black hoodies and mow down our top talent. Note to self, request Trace fire all security staff.
Samael Ahriman: You have a valid argument girl.
Fade to commercials… like a boss.

Trace Demon walks down the corridor, still geared up and ready for his match in just a few moments. He doesn’t seem to be too focused on the contest, though experience will tell you that this is most certainly a façade and that he’s ready for a fight, as he speaks on his phone in a rather agitated manner.
Trace Demon: Where are you? You told me you’d be here on time… Look, I agreed to this whole thing because, well quite frankly because it sounds like it’ll be fun to watch but what I didn’t agree to was for you to start playing all your mysterious crap on me... I’m the only one around here who gets to be mysterious to the point of being annoying…
Trace pauses, clearly he’s seen something, or someone, that he’d rather not at this very moment.
Trace Demon: Just be hear when it’s time.
And with that he hangs up the phone, the camera turning to show exactly who he’s looking at – Wayne McGurk. The crowd pop loudly, an exciting moment as they see Trace Demon and Wayne McGurk, two men who are well known to be close friends outside of the WFWF, stand toe to toe. However right now neither man looks all that pleased to see the other.
Wayne McGurk: I’m surprised, figured you’d lost your phone considering you’ve been dodging all my calls.
Trace Demon: I’ve been busy Wayne. Running the WFWF, raising a kid, trolling people on youtube comment sections, you know, the usual.
Wayne McGurk: And here I was thinking you’d just been ignoring me.
Trace Demon: You shouldn’t be surprised if I have, you’ve brought it all upon yourself.
There’s a definite tension in the air, Wayne’s eyes narrowing in confusion at the statement.
Wayne McGurk: And what’s that supposed to mean.
Trace Demon: It means you chose Shawn Malakai over your own kid, that you suddenly thought you had the right to decide whether she was ready for this or not, but guess what Wayne, you don’t, you don’t have any right at all. That girl knows what she’s doing and she’ll thrive or get torn apart based on her decisions. I’ve got no respect for a man who thinks he can make decisions for someone else.
Wayne McGurk: I’m doing what I have to do for my family.
Trace Demon: No, you’re doing what you want to do based on your messed up morals, but know something Wayne, I take the whole ‘pick a side’ deal very seriously and to me, you’ve picked yours. And it isn’t my side. Now get out of my way.
The two men stare each other down for a moment, two friends who most certainly have some issues to deal with standing toe to toe looking ready for a fight. Unfortunately for us they’ve both already got one fight to deal with, they can’t afford another, so Wayne does as he’s told, stands aside for Trace to walk past. As the International Champion begins to walk off he pauses, delivering one final statement to the legend that is Wayne McGurk.
Trace Demon: Oh and Wayne, I’m sorry for what’s coming your way, I really am. Figure it’s best you know that now because you won’t believe me later.
And with those strange, ominous parting words the King of Demons walks away, leaving Wayne McGurk behind to watch him go, confused by his final message, wondering what exactly is ‘coming his way’. One thing he knows for certain though is that if Trace Demon is sorry about it, it’s going to be bad.
Samael Ahriman: It's now time for three of Xavier Pierce's troops to do battle with Trace Demon, Joe Bishop and Penny Shannon.
Alecia Matthews: This should be an interesting prelude to the Battleground match.
Samael Ahriman: No doubt, this is our first opportunity to see if Mak and Cam can function as a team, it's our first chance to see if Trace Demon's confidence that his team will not betray him, is justified.
Christa Adina: This match is schedules for one fall, introducing first, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing 230 pounds, Mak Cross!
“I'm paranoid and sick of this world's misconception of things I did”, 'The Hard Sell' blasts around the Cowell Stadium as the first of six competitors, Mak Cross, walks out from behind the curtain. Mak looks at the crowd, a grin creeping across his face. Mak slowly makes his way down the ramp, lazily accepting a few high fives from fans in the front row but largely ignoring the crowd's response. He slides in to the ring and rolls towards the turnbuckle, climbing to the middle rope and looking out into the crowd, before dropping back down to the mat and awaiting his team mates.
Christa Adina: And his partner, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing 185 pounds, Cam Nitta!
"If you're sick, if you're sick, if you're sick, if you're sick of it
If you're sick, if you're sick, if you're SICK OF IT!"
Cam Nitta emerges from the curtains, cloaked in a black hood and black jacket. Following his partner's lead, Cam offers a few high fives to the fans in the front row, but he doesn't seem particularly interested. When Cam gets to the ring, he sheds his coat as the chorus of 'Sick Of It' hits, which sets off a deafening pyro on the stage. Cam turns and for the first time since appearing on the stage, locks eyes with his partner Mak Cross, the two stand still staring at each other, before Devilkiller's entrance music distracts them.
Samael Ahriman: You can feel the tension from here, Mak Cross and Cam Nitta may be team-mates now, but I'd be shocked if this friendship survives Battleground.
Alecia Matthews: It might not last tonight.
Christa Adina: And their partner, from New Jersey, weighing in at 270 pounds, the National Champion, Devilkiller!
'Honor' hits, as Devilkiller appears on the stage and after his words last week it's no surprise to hear a heated reaction from the WFWF fans, who are really getting on the back of the face-painted performer. A cocky Devilkiller has the National Championship draped over his shoulder and walks to the ring with a huge smile on his face, obviously unfazed by the reaction he's receiving. Devilkiller joins his two team mates in the ring, lifting his National Championship in the air and having a brief discussion with his two team mates before the three men prepare for their opponents to appear.
Christa Adina: Representing Team Demon, from San Francisco, California, weighing 135 pounds, Penny Shannon!
The arena lights fall dim as sparkles of purple, pink, and baby blue settle around the entrance way. Smoke fills the isle as the sound of "Girls" by Tricky starts bouncing from the speakers. Penny Shannon pushes herself through the entrance curtain dressed in soft black hoodie long enough to be a skirt. Penny drops the hood, revealing her hair tied into pigcurls. With a grin, she points towards the camera and begins her walk down the ring. Whilst some would be a little weary of joining the three men in the ring before their team-mates arrive, the thought clearly doesn't cross Penny Shannon's mind. She slides underneath the ropes without a seconds hesitation, charges up the turnbuckle and pulls down her pig tails. Her hair falls gracefully down her face and shoulders, as she keeps herself perched where she is; grinning with anticipation. Penny ends up locked in a staring contest with the three men when 'Hell March' blasts out of the speakers.
Samael Ahriman: No fear from Penny Shannon tonight.
Alecia Matthews: Did you expect anything else?
Christa Adina: Representing Team Demon, from Wimbledon, England, weighing in at 195 pounds, Joe Bishop!
The arena lights go dark as Joe Bishop appears at the top of the stage. Bishops slowly makes his way down the ramp picking up the pace as he gets towards the ring. Joe slides in to the ring as flames shoot up from all four ring posts. He stands alongside Penny Shannon, as the two sides stand opposite one another, waiting for the co-owner of the WFWF to appear.
Christa Adina: And, from Ontario, Canada, weighing 230 pounds, he is the International Champion and co-owner of the WFWF, Trace Demon!
As the opening chords of “Seizure of Power” hits the speakers the lights across the arena shut off one by one. They are replaced by six crimson spotlights, each one turning on a different part of the arena in sequence. One by one each of the spotlights move to the tip of the stage, combining and showing the first glimpse of Trace Demon, down on one knee with his back to the crowd and a hoodie over his head. As the song builds to a fever pitch he suddenly rises, spins around and in one simultaneous motion pulls his hood down and throws his other hand up like a gun, mouthing “Boom” as pyrotechnics go off all around him. As the pyrotechnics come to a stop the lights in the arena turn on, showing a full look at Trace Demon.
Alecia Matthews: Trace Demon is risking everything at Battleground and he's putting his faith in two people who have every right to cost Demon that match. Has Trace lost his mind?
Samael Ahriman: I guess you could argue that Trace has lost control, but I value my job, so I'm going to sit on the fence.
Trace stands on the ramp and takes a look around at the crowd, completely unfazed by the reaction he is getting. He seems to be in his own little world as he makes his way down the ramp, completely ignoring the fans on either side of him as they attempt to touch the King of Demons, instead focused solely on the ring and the five competitors that inhabit it. As he reaches the bottom of the ramp he removes his hoody and throws it to the ground before settling himself just outside the ring. In a single flawless motion he leaps up onto the apron and then enters the ring between the top and middle rope. He ascends the nearest turnbuckle, pointing to the fans and smirking as they return the abuse, and then leaps back down, as soon as Trace turns towards his opponents he's met by the right hand of Devilkiller.
Alecia Matthews: Devilkiller not wasting any time, he goes right after the International Champion.
Before Trace can even acknowledge the punch, Mak Cross finds himself battling with his opponent from the previous week Joe Bishop while Cam Nitta is exchanging blows with Penny Shannon. The referee tries his best to get some order, but he clearly has no control of what is going on in the ring as the five men and Penny Shannon continue to exchange blows in a crowded ring. Eventually Trace, Penny, Cam & Devilkiller retreat to their corners allowing Joe Bishop and Mak Cross to open proceedings.
Samael Ahriman: Some order is finally restored and this match can begin.
Alecia Matthews: You can see that it means so much to all six of these competitors.
Cross and Bishop lock up in the centre of the ring, jockeying for position. Mak's weight advantage seems to put him in the ascendency, but Bishop is able to regain control of the situation with a kick to the gut off Cross, which he follows up quickly with a snap suplex. Bishop positions himself over Mak Cross before he can regain his footing, and proceeds to hit a series of rights and lefts to the head of Mak. Bishop then allows Mak to stand, he attempts to irish whip Cross towards his team-mates, but Mak is able to reverse it, propelling Bishop into the corner inhabited by Cam Nitta and Devilkiller with enough force to send Bishop crashing to the mat and gasping for air.
Samael Ahriman: Ouch.
Alecia Matthews: That didn't look fun.
Mak pulls the hair of Joe Bishop, yanking him up to his feet and forcing him in to the corner. Cross holds Bishop there with an elbow over the neck of the Englishman, tagging in Cam Nitta as he does so. Cam enters the ring in between the ropes and throws a series of kicks in to the ribs of Bishop as Mak holds him in place.
Samael Ahriman: Well Cam Nitta and Mak Cross, functioning pretty well as a team so far, it has to be said.
Alecia Matthews: Maybe so, but do you honestly think that Xavier Pierce isn't going to regret putting both of these men on his team?
Samael Ahriman: They're two of the brightest talents in the WFWF. Yes there's an element of risk, but Trace has picked two partners who could happily turn on him in an instant.
As soon as Mak lets go Bishop looks set to fall to the mat, but to make sure, Cam springs off the ropes and hits a bulldog sending his opponent crashing to the mat head first. Looking to keep the momentum up Cam lifts Bishop up and bounces him off the ropes, Nitta does the same to build up some speed and looks like he is about to hit some acrobatic manoeuvre. Unfortunately for Cam, Joe has got his bearing back and is able to raise his leg, which results in his foot catching Cam in the face. Both men drop down to the mat, Bishop clearly still feeling the effects of being flung in to the corner of the ring by Mak Cross, while the kick has floored Cam. Both men inch towards their team-mates desperate to be the first man to make the tag.
Alecia Matthews: Whoever gets to their corner first could give their team a huge advantage in this match.
It's Cam who is able to make it first, allowing Mak Cross to enter the ring. Cross is absolutely full of momentum, getting into the ring instantly and he finds himself charging towards Bishop, trying to stop him from making a tag. Before he can though, Bishop has leapt through the air and managed to make a tag, connecting with the outstretched arm of Penny Shannon. Penny enters the ring as Mak, who is going at an incredible speed, has to try and stop himself. Cross almost screeches across the ring rather comically as he comes face to face with Penny.
Alecia Matthews: That was brilliant!
Samael Ahriman: Mak Cross is of course, unwilling to attack a woman.
Alecia Matthews: Yeah, what a pansy.
Penny Shannon has a huge grin on her face as Mak Cross stands in front of her, not moving a muscle. Shannon generously allows Mak to sulk back towards his corner, she stands still in the middle of the ring, the grin not leaving her face as Mak tags in a much less reluctant Devilkiller.
Samael Ahriman: Penny lets Mak make the tag, that's perhaps not the wisest move on her part.
Devilkiller comes in to the ring, looking a lot more willing to fight Penny Shannon. He runs towards her, arm stretched out looking for a clothesline that would have taken her head off. Penny has an ingenious way of avoiding this though, she simply ducks under the arm of Devilkiller who clearly wasn't expecting that. Devilkiller turns and is met by a spinning wheel kick from the Velocity Grrrl. Devilkiller gets up shortly, but almost ends up wishing he hadn't, Shannon is running towards him at a blistering speed and looks to hit the Yakuza Kick, but Devilkiller has the wherewithal to pull the referee in front of him. The WFWF official is knocked out by the boot of Penny Shannon, he lays motionless, not even twitching in the ring.
Alecia Matthews: An intelligent manoeuvre from Devilkiller.
Samael Ahriman: ...He just pulled the referee into the line of fire.
Alecia Matthews: I know. Don't you think that was intelligent?
Devilkiller hits Shannon with a clothesline, Penny gets straight back up, but she's hit with a drop-kick by Devilkiller than sends her back down. Penny gets up again relatively quickly but a DDT then floors Penny. As soon as the ref had hit the mat, chaos ensued outside the ring, Trace Demon had ordered Joe Bishop to go after Mak & Cam, with Demon following him towards the other two men. All four were now involved in an all out brawl on the outside.
Samael Ahriman: This is utter chaos.
With Penny Shannon and the Referee down, side by side, in the ring, Devilkiller decides to involve himself in proceedings outside the ring. He slides out of the ring and grabs a chair from ringside, the 'Hardcore King', keen to utilise the short period of time he has, goes straight to work with the chair. First he hits the nearby Trace Demon in the back, allowing Mak Cross to gain the ascendancy in their battle. He follows that up with a shot to the skull of Joe Bishop, a shot that can be heard in the cheap seats and results in a ridiculous amount of blood to begin spewing from the forehead of Joe Bishop.
Alecia Matthews: It looks like Devilkiller is going to try and stop Team Demon making the Battleground match.
Samael Ahriman: That's a lot of blood.
Alecia Matthews: Yeah.
Devilkiller slides in to the ring, the chair still in his hand as the referee remains down, he hasn't moved an inch since Penny Shannon's boot went through his face. Devilkiller turns and looks over the top rope, admiring his handiwork and lifting the chair high in the air to the displeasure of the crowd. When he turns back he sees that Penny Shannon is back to her feet and he instinctively swings the chair towards her. But a high kick from Shannon sends the chair springing back into the face of Devilkiller, the face-painted superstar falters and Penny ensures that he crashes in to the mat with a flying forearm smash.
Samael Ahriman: Devilkiller was starting to build a bit of momentum there.
Alecia Matthews: Penny does a brilliant job of ending that. You wouldn't bet against her finishing it off now.
While Trace, Joe, Mak & Cam continue to brawl on the outside, Penny looks to finish it, locking Devilkiller in the sharpshooter. On the outside Mak Cross and Cam Nitta drop Joe Bishop on to the barricade, Trace Demon has left them to it and returns to the apron. Devilkiller crawls towards the ring ropes, desperate to break the hold. Devilkiller screams, clearly in agony, as Penny Shannon pulls him further away from the ropes, the sharpshooter still locked in.
Alecia Matthews: There's no way out of this for Devilkiller.
Samael Ahriman: He might not need a way out, I think Penny may have genuinely killed this referee.
Devilkiller is saved when Cam Nitta slides in to the ring and nails Penny Shannon in the back of the head, Trace Demon isn't happy to see such a cheap shot landed against his team-mate, Trace goes in to the ring and goes straight for Nitta hitting a knee to the gut and following it up with the Demonstration of Hell, the crowd goes nuts as Cam's shoulders hit the mat and Penny Shannon revives the ref. The referee is completely oblivious to the fact that Penny Shannon and Devilkiller are still the legal competitors in this match, so goes over to count the pin.
1...
Samael Ahriman: That's got to be it.
2...
Samael Ahriman: It's over.
NO!
Samael Ahriman: NO!
Alecia Matthews: Why do you say 'That's got to be it' or 'It's over' at every single pin attempt?
The boot of Mak Cross breaks the pin just as Trace is about to pick up the victory. The referee is finally able to restore some order after this, forcing Mak Cross and Devilkiller to return to their corners, while Penny and a groggy Joe Bishop take their positions on the other side of the ring. Knowing that he has a great opportunity to finish the match off, Trace Demon goes for the pin again, although Cam has had some time to recover.
1...
2...
Samael Ahriman: It's over.
NO!
Alecia Matthews: I hate you.
A kickout from Cam Nitta at the last second infuriates Trace Demon. Demon pulls Nitta up to his feet and irish whips him into his teams corner. Trace charges towards him and practically takes his head off with a huge clothesline. The International Champion smiles as he tags in Penny Shannon. Wanting to keep her teams momentum, Penny springs off the rope and as Cam gets to his feet, she takes him down with another clothesline. She runs towards Cam Nitta once more as he begins to get to his feet, but this time Cam catches her in mid air and is able to drop Penny to the mat. Penny crawls towards her corner looking to tag in Trace or Bishop who are both stretching their arms out desperate for the tag.
Alecia Matthews: I really thought Trace's team had this won for a minute.
Samael Ahriman: You've got to credit Cam Nitta, he's pulled Pierce's men back in to this.
Penny looks on, confused and horrified when Trace Demon pulls his arm away and uses it to force Bishop to do the same. What she doesn't know though, is that Cam Nitta has just made a tag, and that in the ring right now is Mak Cross, whose a long way from his corner as he fully expected to be met by Joe Bishop or Trace Demon. Penny turns, realising why Trace wasn't willing to make the tag, Mak has also realised that she isn't going to make the tag. A hectic race ensues with Shannon hoping to stop Mak from tagging in Cam Nitta or Devilkiller. It looks like Mak is going to make the tag, but a well timed dropkick to his legs sends him crashing in to the mat.
Alecia Matthews: Penny isn't feeling too generous this time.
To make sure that Mak Cross isn't getting out of this, Penny Shannon sends Cam Nitta crashing to the outside with a right hand and follows it up with a dropkick to Devilkiller that knocks him off the apron. Penny smiles as Mak gets to his feet, she motions asking Mak to hit her, but Mak Cross simply isn't willing to. In response she swings a foot at the knee of Mak Cross almost making him lose his footing. She again encourages Mak to hit her, but when he doesn't another swift kick kick connects, this time bringing Mak Cross to his knees, his head leaning forward. She smiles as she looks at Mak on his knees and then looks towards the ropes.
Samael Ahriman: If Penny hits the Blackout here, you've got to think that this one's going to be over.
Alecia Matthers: Xavier Pierce can't be pleased with Mak Cross right now.
Penny hits a devastating Blackout to the delight of the fans, she rolls Mak over and goes for the pin.

Samael Ahriman: Penny Shannon gives Trace Demon's team the advantage heading in to this crucial Battleground match.
Alecia Matthews: Yeah, and I think it's fair to say we've seen some of the flaws in Pierce's team tonight.
Christa Adina: Here are your winners, Joe Bishop, Penny Shannon and Trace Demon!
Penny Shannon, Trace Demon and Joe Bishop stand tall in the middle of the ring as the three members of team Pierce argue, Devilkiller is incensed by what has just happened and Cam Nitta doesn't look much happier. Both men exchange words with Mak Cross who has just about recovered, the tension between Mak Cross & Cam Nitta that wasn't really visible during the match, is there for all to see now.
Alecia Matthews: A big win for Team Demon tonight and the momentum is certainly on their sides, but we’ve still got so many questions leading into Battleground.
Samael Ahriman: Not least of which is who in the hell are the fourth men for both teams.
Alecia Matthews: Might not have to wait long for that answer, look up at the stage.
As all eyes are directed to the stage we now see that Xavier Pierce, the co-owner of the WFWF, is standing there with a microphone in hand. He doesn’t look too phased by the fact that his team just lost, if anything he seems smug about the whole thing, thinking that he has some kind of ace up his sleeve. As Xavier Pierce goes to talk Trace motions for a microphone, clearly he intends to respond.
Xavier Pierce: Congratulations Trace, I’m sure you’re feeling very happy with yourself. Now I hate to rain on anyone’s parade but I’ve got a little bit of news for you, your team and everybody here in this arena. I’ve been searching high and low for the fourth member of my team for the past couple of weeks, and before you say anything Trace I’ve not been searching because I couldn’t find anyone to work with me. In fact I’ve known all along who I wanted, I’ve just had to find him and convince him. And I have. Trace, I needed to find someone who hates you more than anybody else, I needed to find a man who will do absolutely anything that needs to be done to see you out of power. So I did exactly that, I found the one man who I know wants your head on a spike and while he was a little apprehensive at the idea of first I am one hundred per cent sure that he will be showing up to Battleground to ensure you leave with absolutely no hold over the WFWF. So without further ado let me tell you exactly who the fourth man of Team Pierce is…
He takes a pregnant pause, wanting to make the eventual reveal all the more impactful. The other competitors involved in the match, both Team Demon and Team Pierce members, stand waiting for the announcement.
Xavier Pierce: Yukio Blaze!
The crowd erupt in cheers at the name of their hero. Mak Cross, Cam Nitta and Devilkiller, all of whom now stand inside the ring alongside their Battleground opponents, look sceptical though, they know how Yukio went out at last month’s pay per view. Luckily for them Trace Demon now has a microphone and looks to voice all of their concerns personally.
Trace Demon: Yukio Blaze? That’s your trump card? Well excuse me if I’m not impressed. Let me remind you Xavier that I’m the one who put Yukio on the shelf, I’m the one who caved his head in with a cowbell, I’m the one who hung him by his feet over the ring, I’m the one with his blood staining my International Championship. Even if Yukio Blaze is medically cleared to compete, which I highly doubt, he is in no state mentally to step inside of a steel cage with me and my team. I know it, my team knows it and from the look on their faces even your team knows it. The only one who doesn’t seem to understand that is you. But it doesn’t matter Xavier, it doesn’t matter if he shows up or if he stays at home like the coward that he is, his presence will not change anything. Because you see you’ve just played your trump card, not it’s time for me to play mine.
Trace Demon throws the microphone out of the ring and then points one hand up to the sky, his fingers pointed in his signature gun symbol. Everybody, friend and foe, stares at him as they wonder what it is he is doing but as Trace Demon ‘pulls the trigger’ they all realize it isn’t good, the lights across the arena suddenly blinking out and plunging everyone into total darkness.
Alecia Matthews: Why is it that whenever anyone wants to make something a surprise they always turn off all the lights?
Samael Ahriman: Dramatic flair Alecia, keep up.
Seconds tick by before the lights suddenly come back on without warning and the crowd, particularly those who have followed the WFWF for some time, erupt in shock and awe. There, standing in the very centre of the ring between Team Demon and Team Pierce, stands a familiar intimidating figure. He holds a baseball bat in his hand and is staring right at Mak Cross, Cam Nitta and Devilkiller, none of which can hide their shock at seeing his face. Both Joe Bishop and Penny Shannon seem shocked to see him as well, but nobody is as shocked as Xavier Pierce, who certainly wasn’t expecting this. Trace Demon on the other hand is simply grinning from ear to ear because that figure is none other than…
Reverend Shadow!
Alecia Matthews: My god, that’s Reverend Shadow, or Jason Jadoa, or whatever you want to call him! He’s back in the WFWF!
Samael Ahriman: And he’s allied himself with Trace Demon, but why?
It’s not a time for questions, it’s a time for a beating as Reverend Shadow suddenly steps forwards and swings the baseball bat straight into the gut of Mak Cross who doubles over in pain. Cam Nitta quickly tries to aid his friend, despite the tension between them, but gets the baseball bat straight to the side of the skull for his trouble, dropping the young star just like that. Devilkiller doesn’t make the same mistake, the National Champion seeing Shadow with the baseball bat and the three remaining members of Team Demon opposite and quickly drops down and rolls out of the ring, high tailing it up the ramp despite Xavier Pierce’s shouts for him to get back into the ring. As Reverend Shadow watches him go he lifts the baseball bat, pointing it at Xavier Pierce, and then brings it over his head before driving it straight down in the back of the doubled over Mak Cross, dropping him to the canvas right next to Cam Nitta. The two men writhe in pain as Shadow stands over them, having made a shocking return to the WFWF here tonight.
Alecia Matthews: Mak Cross and Cam Nitta are down and out and Devilkiller has proved that he isn’t a team player, could things look any bleaker for Xavier Pierce right now?
Samael Ahriman: Well he could have just announced his fourth men is someone who might not even bother showing up… oh wait.
As the crowd continue to buzz about the shocking return of Reverend Shadow Trace Demon steps forwards, leaving the sides of an equally surprised Joe Bishop and Penny Shannon who clearly had no idea of who their fourth man was, and grabs Shadow by the wrist. In a moment that is sure to be remembered for some time Trace Demon lifts the arm of Reverend Shadow and the two men stand there, their arms raised in the air, a dynamic and absolutely terrifying statement made right here. Trace Demon and Reverend Shadow… allies.
Fade to commercials.

The arena lights fall as the opening The Offspring's "Come Out & Play" surround the arena. Strobe lights of red and violet cover the ring as smoke begins to surround the entrance way. Scarlett comes walking through the entrance curtain with her arms stretched. She pauses for a moment, bathing herself in haze of red and violet. Just a short moment later, Penny Shannon comes through and stands behind Scarlett. Blinks of white light sprinkle around the arena as Scarlett makes the walk down to the ring. Grabbing the bottom rope, Scarlett slingshots herself into the ring, swooping right between the bottom and middle rope. Scarlett rises to her feet and extends her arms as the lights fade back.
Wolfgang's "Sanctified" explodes into the arena as the sea of fans rise to their feet. Our camera's pull in towards the entrance ramp where smoke fills the air as Wayne McGurk rushes through the curtain with his wife, Vanessa, standing right by his side. Taking her hand, Wayne makes the march towards the ring. Taking the steps up to the apron before slipping between the first and middle ropes. Wayne approaches his daughter and the two stand in an intense stare down with Vanessa and Penny on opposite corners outside of the ring.
Christa Adina: This match-up is scheduled for one fall. Standing to my right, from Tempe, Arizona, weighing tonight at two hundred and fifty five pounds... Wayne McGurk!
Wayne raises his fist into the air as the crowd in attendance gives him a strong ovation.
Christa Adina: His opponent, also from Tempe, Arizona... Weighing tonight at one hundred and thirty two pounds, she is the WFWF World Champion... Scarlett Quinn!
Scarlett removes her belt and raises it high, stepping towards her father, looking up at him. She too gets a strong ovation from the audience.
Samael Ahriman: Here it is, tonight's main event. Who would have ever thought it would come to this?
Alecia Matthews: All Scarlett wanted was the recognition from her parents and her peers, she's taking a very brave step by getting into the ring with her father tonight.
The referee calls for the bell and Scarlett wastes no time in throwing punches up her father's face. Wayne steps back, trying to distance himself, but Scarlett presses on with her attacks- striking upwards, while tossing in a couple kicks to his side. Nearing the ropes, Wayne pushes Scarlett back. The girl rolls away but it isn't long before she jumps her father but Wayne sidesteps and takes her out with a big boot.
Samael Ahriman: And I think this match is over.
Alecia Matthews: ... You lack such little faith.
1...
2... Scarlett kicks out, rolling to the outside of the ring to regroup.
Alecia Matthews: What did I tell you?
Penny comes rushing over to Scarlett, checking on the WFWF Champion as Wayne exits the ring and approaches both girls. Thinking quickly, Penny shoves Scarlett back into the ring and scurries off. Wayne turns towards the apron, reaching for the bottom rope as he motions up the apron, but Scarlett rushes with a dropkick, nailing her father in the face with enough force that he drops from the apron and stumbles before the security rail. Scarlett ascends the to the top rope and takes air with a high crossbody. Wayne catches her, but the force from Scarlett attack causes Wayne to lose balance enough that he inadvertently hurls Scarlett over the security rail, the Princess of Wrestling landing on the laps of the members of the first row.
Wayne reaches over, taking Scarlett by the head, but Scarlett strikes back with a forearm. She gains ground by standing over the chair and with her father dazed for a moment, Scarlett hops to the security rail and hurls herself at her father, knocking him to the arena floor with a tornado DDT. Scarlett squats now, holding her father as she tries to get him up, but his weight overpowers her. Penny rushes over and aids Scarlett, both girls barely getting the former WFWF Champion to his feet. The referee leans over the ropes and calls Penny away, almost threatening to evict her from ringside. Begrudgingly, Penny lets go off Wayne and backs off, keeping herself at a distance.
Scarlett now completely frustrated, let’s go of her father and in that moment, Wayne shoots back up to both feet and grabs Scarlett, pressing her overhead before hurling back into the ring through the ropes. Wayne slips back in and Scarlett rushes back over, pummeling stomps across his back. Wayne pushes her off, but Scarlett isn't going anywhere. She begins stomping on his hands. Growing completely irate, Wayne lifts his daughter, knocks her with a reverse atomic drop and rushes over with a clothesline, wiping Scarlett out. Wayne now with a cover.
1...
2... Scarlett kicks out.
Locking his arm around her neck, Wayne traps Scarlett in a sleeper hold, hoping to wear her down. Scarlett holds up her arms, clenching her fist, just trying to stay in the match. Wayne nudges over, cracking up the hold, but Scarlett isn't close to giving up just yet. Releasing the hold for a moment, Wayne shoves a knee across Scarlett's back, causing her to scream out. Wayne follows with another and a hard elbow over her shoulder and locks her back into the sleeper. The referee checking on Scarlett as her arms begin to fail on her. One arm reaches back and rakes his face, but Wayne jerks over and clenches the sleeper... It looks like Scarlett's starting to fade now. The referee raises up Scarlett's arm. Giving her a moment, he lets go and the Princess of Wrestling's arm falls.
The referee raises up Scarlett's arm again. Letting go after a moment, her arm falls again. The referee raises up Scarlett's arm one last time and let's go. Scarlett's arm falls, but manages to hold up in the last minute. Scarlett's arms trembling now as she tries to push herself away. Wayne rises to his feet and sets Scarlett up for a reverse DDT, raising his arm in the air now.
Samael Ahriman: The McGurk Lock, for years, Wayne McGurk has put away countless names in the WFWF with this hold and tonight he looks to end his daughter’s reign once and for all.
Alecia Matthews: Come on, girl! You can get out of this!
Wayne’s gets Scarlett in postion, ready to drop her over her knee, but quickly, Scarlett rolls overhead, slipping away from her father as she grabs him by the buckle of his jeans, rolling him into a School Girl for the cover.
1...
2...
Wayne kicks out and comes rushing back with a clothesline, but Scarlett sidesteps and knocks him right in the face with the Drive-By Kiss, the running high superkick, from out of nowhere. Scarlett falls on the canvass as the unexpected shot sends Wayne plummeting to the mat. Both Scarlett and Wayne lie in the center of the ring for a moment before the Princess of Wrestling crawls over for the cover.
1..
2... Wayne kicks out!
Alecia Matthews: Our champion just seconds away from the victory! Her father has thrown out everything he could and the girl’s still in this one. Come on, girl! This is it!
Over on the outside, Vanessa holds herself, watching the action unfold. On the other corner, Penny Shannon has begun slapping the mat, bouncing up, shouting words of encouragement at Scarlett. Wayne starts the rise to the vertical base, Scarlett leaning close to him as she pushes herself back up. With the two of them now on their feet, they both keep close to each other- staggering. Scarlett fires a shot to her father’s face. Wayne now with a forearm on Scarlett. Scarlett with another punch. Wayne with another forearm. Scarlett with the punch. Wayne with the forearm. Scarlett scream into the air and motions for the spinning back elbow. Wayne grabs a handful of hair and knocks her with a headbutt. Scarlett back with the headbutt. Wayne with another headbutt... Wayne and Scarlett grab each other by the hair and clash into a series of headbutts, riling the fans in attendance on their feet.
Samael Ahriman: ... HOLY CRAP!
The referee comes over and tries to pry them both away, but Scarlett pushes him aside and strikes her father with another superkick. Wayne stumbles in a daze and Scarlett bounces off the ropes with another superkick... Wayne’s just on the verge of falling. The referee looms beneath Wayne, trying to get a read on his condition. Scarlett charges off the ropes and towards the referee, who at the very sight of her, has ducked for cover- Scarlett jumps over the referee’s back and takes air with another superkick, this one connecting right into her father’s throat! Wayne falls to the mat and Scarlett falls after him with a cover.
1...
2...
3...
“Come Out & Play” hits the speakers again as the referee rushes to Scarlett’s side to hold up her arm in victory. Scarlett signs for a moment and allows herself to sink to the mat, breathing heavily. Penny Shannon rushes to her side and holds her in her arms. With a kiss on her shoulder, Penny whispers good things into Scarlett’s ear. Scarlett nods back, closing her eyes for a moment. Vanessa has entered the ring, kneeling before Wayne as the referee checks on his condition.
Alecia Matthews: Those two gave it their all in that ring. After seeing that, it’s impossible for Wayne to not be proud of his daughter. She just proved to him and everyone else that she is our world champion and she’s here to stay for good!
Samael Ahriman: ...
Alecia Matthews: I took the words right out of your mouth, didn’t I?
Now standing on both feet on opposite ends of the ring, Wayne and Scarlett look at each other. Vanessa leans close and whispers into Wayne’s ear- Penny the same with Scarlett. “Come Out and Play” cuts off as Wayne and Scarlett meet in the center of the ring. The two exchange a few words and not a moment sooner, lock up in an embrace right then and there, tears streaming down both their faces. The crowd cheers as Vanessa and Penny both take a sigh of relief, smiling at each other.
Samael Ahriman: This is what we’ve been waiting for. Respect. Major respect.
Wayne takes the microphone.
Wayne: I know I haven’t done much good by you in these last couple months, but that don’t mean I’m not proud of you, because I am. I didn’t want to see you making the same mistakes your mom and I made in the years we spent in this sport. Tonight, you proved to me and all these people that you do have what it takes and from here on out, you’ve got my full support. I love you.
Taking the WFWF World Championship from Penny, Wayne wraps it around Scarlett’s waist and holds up her arm in victory. A father and daughter united as Revolution goes off the air.

And that ladies and gentlemen (jokes, we've neither of those things here) is our results. Big thanks to Shawn, Bishop, Mikes, Prog, Garrett and myself (what, I did three segments, I'm aloud to feed my own ego). We'll be aiming to get the Battleground card up in a few days and I'll personally be aiming to do some WFWF.COM pieces, particularly the power 10. Until then, enjoy.

You know, I ought to fly to Wales and end you for lying to me about your partner. I read your RP and I accurately guessed your partner and you said no. Rawr.
Oh, and someone you missed is Garrett, he gave us a good promo for his debut. Good show though. I like it. Haha.

Reading the results and picturing your reaction when Shadow was unveiled as the fourth man was by far the most entertaining part of this show.

Reading the results and picturing your reaction when Shadow was unveiled as the fourth man was by far the most entertaining part of this show. This right here is exactly why I said it wasn't him. Sorry Shawn, I just enjoy messing with people.
