I still have my pre-order for XBO, but I am really thinking about canceling and getting a PS4 at the end of the year. It's quite obvious which system will be better. With the recent news of BF4 and CoD not being able to be up to par with the PS4 versions, it's clear that multi-platform games are going to weaker (fps, and 720p vs. 900/1080p) on the Xbox One. Honestly, if it wasn't for Halo, I would already have switched over. Microsoft really ed up and built an inferior GAME system.

I say Xbox One for sure. But only because of the microsoft connection really. As a PC Gamer it doesn't really phase me as the games look better on my computer anyways.

Honestly, if it wasn't for Halo, I would already have switched over. Microsoft really ed up and built an inferior GAME system. Meh, for all the hooplah surrounding framerate and resolution lately, at the end of the day, the only thing that matters, unless you want to get totally hung up on the technical stuff, is which actually looks better in full retail form on a consumer television. Early indications have suggested, that while the X1 suffers from a technical, on paper standpoint, it rivals, or in some people's opinion, beats the PS4 in testing. Granted, this is all second hand information. I haven't seen either with my own eyes in person. The videos I've seen either look like a dead tie or a slight edge to the X1, but I refuse to accept shoddy YouTube footage as the be-all-end-all. The disparity may be there at the beginning, but I think in the long run, it's going to be indiscernible differences for most gamers. The developer of Resident Evil already commented that he finds the consoles to be nearly identical in capability, so much so that he doesn't see the need to develop for both, though they obviously will. We went through this same argument with the current generation. The PS3 was superior to the 360 in terms of hardware, and yet multi-platform games almost always fared better on the 360. I was a Sony loyalist during the PS2 days, and a Microsoft loyalist at the launch of the 360. I own both a 360 and a PS3 and I love them each for completely different reasons. I'll get a PS4 down the road after the first price drop and probably feel the same way.

It's not a good sign when these launch multi-platform titles are gimped compared to the PS4 versions. Also, if you look at the technical levels, The PS4 is more superior to the XBO than the PS3 was to 360. If XBO games are mainly going to be 720p and PS4 games pushing 1080p then it's quite a difference.
I realize that over time and with more experience that the developers will produce better looking/running games on the XBO, but the same goes for the PS4. I think the disparity will continue. I fully expect games such as Destiny to end up 720p on XBO while being 1080p on PS4. It's already being rumored that Titanfall is 720p/60fps. For $500 this console should be able to output at 1080p.

Xbox One all the way, after all the changes they made to it, it will once more blow Sony out of the water. That implies that the 360 blew the PS3 out of the water when it definitely didn't... 28 days until my PS4 comes Buzzing!
