Speaking of Severn, when did he leave the WWF? I think it had something to do with him going home to dry his gray shirt. Last appearance I remember him for was the 1999 Royal Rumble.

Speaking of Severn, when did he leave the WWF? I think it had something to do with him going home to dry his gray shirt. Last appearance I remember him for was the 1999 Royal Rumble. In all honesty that's all I really ever remember him doing.

I believe Severns contract was only for a year. He was NWA champion at the time and WWF was pushing that whole WWF/NWA crossover. Plus I can only assume they were going to do a Shamrock/Severn program which never phased out.
Instead he was involved in the Owen Hart/Ken Shamrock feud which also appeared like it was going to kickstart a feud with Shamrock but again...never materialized.

yeah he was defo brought in to work Shamrock.....but then Shamrock went heel in fall 98...so the op didn't present itself.
