I don't know how many years ago it was but it had to be around 1997. I was around 11 yrs old and my aunt had scored us these amazing tickets to a house show at Madison Square Garden. I've been to a few shows before but this time we were 3-4 rows from the ring. Back then house shows were earlier, it was a 12pm afternoon show. I don't remember the whole card but I know the mainevent was The Rock vs Mankind in a ny street fight.
The rock comes out and instead of mankind it's announced that cactus jack is taking his place. His music hits and the crowd goes nuts. As soon as he comes out he has a shopping cart full of goodies and the crowd gets even louder! Stop signs, cookie sheets, cones, Foley had everything but the kitchen sink and starts tossing the wespons into the ring while Rocky runs away screaming at the timekeeper. Now to back track a little the last house show I went to at MSG (maybe 2009?) they also had a street fight between John Morrison and Sheamus where they had 2 weapons, 1 kendo stick and a chair. Either which were barely used. Anyway back to the main match Foley and Rock are beating the hell out of each other. Chair shots, choking each other with the camera wires, trays to the head, it was great and not even televised.
As they were fighting outside they eventually fall into the crowd! Now remember I'm 3-4 row. So they are trading blows literally right in front of me. If I took one step closer I'd be in the middle. I remember being so scared and shocked not knowing what to do lol. Should I pat them on the back lol? Idk. I also remember looking at the rock and he had these massive tree trunk legs lol. Just looking at the rock I had this larger than life image of him at that moment. Needless to say why he was and is one of my favorite wrestlers ever.
I remember this being one or my fav memories as a kid. To think what wrestling was then and today and how big the rock is globally. I've been thinking about that for a while, I figured I'd share and see what your fav wrestling memories were when you were younger or whatever.

Mine would probably be my first event I attended. It was a house show leading up to wrestlemania 10 if Im not mistaken. The main event was Lex Luger vs Crush in a stretcher match and I was 3rd row back right along the side of the entrance rail so I got to touch all the wrestlers as they passed by. I got the red white and blue Luger tshirt and still have it to this day. Ill never get rid of it because it is probably my most sentimental piece of my entire collection.

It all goes back to the first night I watched Raw in Feb. 1997 the night Sid beat Bret for the title due to Austin interference.

Probably just watching it in general with my brothers. It was the only time I can ever think of that we all had the same hobby.

Had to have been age 15 - WrestleMania 11. My second-ever live event, and first in-person WrestleMania.
It was a few minutes into the first match that I realized, "Hey, this is live. People are seeing it on TV around the world just as I am now." This was also a year before I had access to the World Wide Web, so the group in front of us ragging on the action and praising how much better they thought WCW was, was my first intro to the "smart mark" wrestling fan. Although, I must admit I agreed with them, in wanting to see Ric Flair as Owen Hart's mystery partner.
That said, Yokozuna was a total pleasant surprise. When Owen pinned Billy Gunn, I'll never forget my buddy and I yelling "Yeah! New champions!!" and giving each other a huge, lame high-five. I was jumping for joy so much, I knocked my soda off the rafters - and didn't care.

I would have to say it was the first wrestling show i ever attend. It was in your house buried alive and i was a few rows back from the grave. When the lighting bolt him the tombstone i almosted pooped my pants.
My 2nd would have to be going to wcw sin. I was given free tickets from my 5th grade teacher for staying after school and coming in early.

I wasn't really a kid at the time but the first time Stone Cold delivered a Stone Cold Stunner to Vince McMahon was great.

My first wrestling memory comes from when I was probably 7 years old. I saw Raven sitting in a corner, cutting a classic Raven promo. I was at a friend's house, and he was a huge wrestling fan. Like every other ignorant person in the world when it comes to wrestling, the first words out of my mouth were, "you know this is fake, right?" I didn't even listen to Raven. I wasn't interested at all that maybe this could be entertaining. Nope. I just repeated what I had been told, rather than forming my own opinion.
Yes, I was seven years old, but I still hate that.
That memory is actually very important to me. I'll never be that closed minded again.

Oh easily Undertaker vs Triple H Wrestlemania 28
Just kidding lol, mine would have to be watching Raw around 2005, I remember watching Edge vs Batista and that's the only memory that really sticks out.
