The ring announcer Paul Heyman is in the ring, as he welcomes you all to RBW Backlash! He then turns his attention to greet the announcers ringside, as Kevin Jones and Bucky Lasek give Heyman a thumbs up.
Kevin Jones: Welcome to RBW's Backlash folks! All the fallout from WrestleMania 9 has lead to this event, and we've got some huge grudge matches here tonight!
Bucky Lasek: For the RBW Championship, the score will finally be settled between Undertaker, the former champion, challenging Jeff Hardy for the his RBW Championship Title!
Kevin: And we all know that when Jeff defeated the Undertaker at WrestleMania 9 to win the RBW Championship, he not only took away Undertaker's championship title, but it also took away Undertaker's evil reign of power on RBW
Bucky: What's more, this match is going to be contested inside a Steel Cage!! Personally, I'm pulling for Jeff, if Undertaker regains that Title then this whole company will be doomed!
Kevin: I couldn't agree with you more, and I doubt anyone, besides Undertaker's Morticians of course, want to see that happen! The Cage match for the RBW Title will be the most intense match with the whole RBW organization in jeopardy.
Bucky: But that's not all, because we have the huge World Heavyweight Championship being defended inside the Elimination Chamber!
Kevin: Oh my word, the return of the Chamber! I can't wait for that, it's such an ominous creation!
Bucky: And there's so much more Championship Title defenses and scores to be settled tonight, so let's not waste any more time talking, it's time for our first BackLash match...
X Division Title
Alex Shelley .vs. Sting
Before the bell even rung, Alex Shelley attacked Sting as he was posing on the ropes. Alex unleashed some furious Knees to Sting in the corner, then went for a charging corner attack, but Sting managed to dodge it. A determined Sting begins to unload an array of punches and clotheslines to his arch rival, following up with a stinger splash in a corner. Sting then climbs the top rope and hits a diving crossbody, but he hits it onto the ring floor, as Alex Shelley manages to avoid being hit! Sting lands badly on his knee as he crashed down, so Alex hones in with some kicks to the knee. Alex works the leg for a good portion of the match, resulting in a knee bar submission hold!
Somehow Sting manages to shift the momentum and reverse the legs ubmission into a scorpion deathlock! Much to Alex Shelley's agony he manages to squirm to the ropebreak and the referee beckons Sting to break the hold. Both competitors shake off the leg damage, Sting visibly in more agony, but this doesn't stop the grizzled veteran unleash a flurry of backhands and chops to Alex, knocking the X-Division Champion silly. Alex tries to strike back but Sting gets the upper hand and decks Alex with a might lariat. Alex stumbles back up and into the clutches of Sting's Scorpion Death Drop! As Sting nails the deathdrop, Alex desperately clings onto the ropes and Sting's momentum sends him flying backwards onto the back of his head empty handed. Alex grabs hold of him and decides to end the match with the sliced bread, but as he climbs the ropes for the move, Sting reverses by pulling Alex into a second Scorpion deathdrop attempt. Alex manages to spin out of the hold and foully kick Sting's bad knee, and snappily capitalizes by nailing Sting face first into the second turnbuckle with a flatiner! Alex pins Sting but it only gets a 2-count! Alex grabs Sting back up, and hits a sliced bread, then hurries to the top rope and goes for a Frog Splash, which connects and gets Alex Shelley the 3-count victory! Alex Shelley has successfully retained the X-Division Championship title. After the match Sting confronts his long-term rival and extends a handshake to Alex. The X Division Champ thinks about it, and decides to accept! After years of chasing Shelley's X-Division Title, Sting may have lost, but at least he lost clean for once, and finally has gained Alex Shelleys' respect!
That is until Alex decides to kick Sting right between the legs and proclaim "I don't need your approval, old timer! Your time is over now, and I'm the future of RBW!" as Alex walks off with the X-Division Title around his waist and poses on the stage to cement his victory and statement even further.
Bucky: Good grief! Alex Shelley is painfully disrespectful! For once, I was about to congratulate him on winning a match without cheating and even shaking Sting's hand in good sportsmanship, the match was fantastic... but kicking him where it hurts, that's just disgusting behavior
Kevin: Tell me about it! This was such a great, high energy, adrenaline fueled contest, and when it looked like Sting and Alex had finally found a respect for one another, after years of fueding, it was just a slap in the face to anything that is good in the world when he low blowed Sting!
Bucky: I thought that battle had changed Alex, I thought a new found respect had been discovered, but no... he's just an arrogant punk whose ego is so big that I wouldn't be surprised if it got picked up on a satellite radar!
Kevin: Well, let's hope someone puts this guy in his place! You won't get far in RBW with that attitude without someone taking exception, and when they do Alex will get his comeuppance
Bucky: I do hope so, but speaking of comeuppance, what do you think of our next match; Kane .vs. Batista .vs. John Morrison, where the winner will become the #1 Contender!
Kevin: Well, no doubt Morrison and Batista are ready to deliver Kane's comeuppance for what he did to them at WrestleMania 9!
Bucky: That's for sure, interfering in Morrison .vs. Batista's #1 Contendership match, will only anger these former RBW Champions! Kane certainly is the targeted man in this match!
Kevin: but by the looks of it, his plan worked by ruining the #1 Contendership match and leaving it as a no-contest, as now he's been added into the #1 contender hunt!
Bucky: All three men are hungry, driven and intent on winning, and with the winner becoming #1 Contender to either the RBW or World Heavyweight Title, this is going to be one heck of hard fought match!
#1 Contendership
Kane .vs. Batista .vs. John Morrison
John Morrison was the first to enter the ring, looking agile and ready to fight. Batista then entered the ring, and the two looked at each other with a mixture of tension, respect and determination. The troublesome Kane made his entrance next and as he got to ringside, Morrison comes flipping over the top rope and smashes into Kane like a cannonball! Batista then climbed to the top rope and flattened Morrison and Kane with a flying body block, taking Kane and Morrison down again! After some vengeful fists, Batista rolled Kane into the ring had nailed him a Powerslam! Batista then hit Kane with a raging spinebuster, and pinned his foe until Morrison breaks up the pin. Morrison then springs off the ropes and blasts Batista with the flying chuck kick, and Batista rolls out ring all groggy.
As Morrison turns around, Kane grabs him for a chokeslam, but Morrison backflips out of the move then dashes to the ropes, springs off the ropes for flying chuck but Kane big boots Morrison in mid air! Kane batters Morrison with some heavy shots and chokes, keeping him grounded and victimized. Batista climbs the apron but Kane boots him back off. Kane turns around into a Morrison leg lariat followed by a Standing shooting star press that gets a 2 count. Morrison hits the ropes and goes for a flying chuck kick, but Kane catches him and hits a Tombstone piledriver! Batsta slides into the ring to break up the pin, and hits a bunch of clotheslines to Kane, followed by a nastier spine buster than earlier! This gets Batista a 2 count, so Batista goes for the sit down-bomb but Kane flips him over his head with a backbody drop! Kane then scoops Batista up for a tombstone, but Batista wriggles out back to his feet, then bounces off the ropes, and as Kane turns around he gets speared by Batista! Pinfall cover, but Morrison sluggishly breaks up the pin just before a 3 count. Clinging to his damaged neck, Morrison manages to hit Batista with a sloppy moonlight drive, getting just a 2 count. Morrison then climbs up the top of the turnbuckle, but misses a corkscrew moonsault, so Batista capitalizes by hitting a brain buster on Morrison! Kane boots Batista out ring and pins Morrison to steal the victory.
After the match, a furious Batista pulls Kane out ring and they begin to brawl, until Batista grabs a chair and swings for Kane... but Kane ducks and the chair rebounds off the ring post and backfires into Batistas' head. Kane then scoops up a groggy Batista and tombstones him headfirst onto the steel entrance rampway!
Kevin: MY goodness! What a horrifying turn of events!
Bucky: He's just broken his neck, I swear!
Kevin: That Tombstone on the ramp... just sickening... Kane is a monster possessed!
Bucky: Ever since he returned at WrestleMania 9 he's wreaked havoc, especially on Morrison and Batista, and tonight he just went that extra mile
Kevin: The Big Red Monster has become the #1 Contender to either the World heavyweight or RBW Championship Title!
Bucky: And he's done so in such a devastating fashion, both Morrison and Batistas' necks have taken a battering tonight!
Kevin: Well whichever Champion Kane decides to challenge for, they'd better be on their guard, as this masked maniac is insane!
Bucky: Well, that's something to look out for in the future, but speaking of insane, we've got the Hardcore Championship on the line next, and what an insane turn of events this title has been involved with
Kevin: You can say that again, ever since team S.A.W invaded RBW and demolished the hardcore division, the S.A.W leader, Burchill, has been the undefeated hardcore Champion! He even defended the title in a 10-Man Hardcore Gauntlet at WrestleMania 9 just gone by, and albeit with questionable tactics, that's impressive!
Bucky: It is damn impressive, especially as he managed to end the gaunlet by knocking off Kurt Angle of all people! Well he had plenty of help retaining the Hardcore title from several weapons and both his S.A.W.partners, Mean Monkey & Tommy Dreamer getting involved
Kevin: And now Kurt Angle wants a straight up one-on-one hardcore title match against Burchill, to beat him once and for all and rid RBW of these cut throat outlaws!
Bucky: Well, these S.A.W guys are like a pack of wolves, so Kurt had better beware of them getting involved, but I wish Kurt the best of luck, because he's going to need it
Hardcore Championship
Burchill .vs. Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle made his entrance first, looking intense and ready to eliminate the leader of the growing threat known as S.A.W. Next, the S.A.W group came out onto the stage, Burchill the Hardcore Champion, with Tommy Dreamer and Mean Monkey either side of him, as they all looked ready to maim. Knowing the numbers were against him, Kurt quickly left the ring, so Tommy Dreamer charged at him, but Angle sidestepped and launched Dreamer smashing into the steel ring post. Mean Monkey then charged but Kurt caught him with a belly to belly slam onto the ringside area. As soon Kurt had hit the suplex, he turned around as Burchill swung the hardcore Title belt at his head, but Angle ducked and began to unload some fists to the S.A.W leader! Kurt brawled all around ringside with burchill, battering him into the stage, slamming him into guardrails, and beating his head off the ring apron too! Kurt rolled him into the ring, and hit a flying crossbody off the top, following up with a belly 2 belly suplex. Upon impact Burchill rolled out the ring in agony, as Kurt climbed the top turnbuckle and began to dive off towards Burchill ringside. But what Angle didn't notice, whilst climbing up the buckle, was that Burchill had managed to grab a nearby steel chair, and as Kurt flew towards him, Burchill blasted Kurt in midair with the steel!
He quickly pinned Kurt ringside, but was shocked to only get a 2-count. Burchill began stomping, choking and brawling like a thug, until he decided Angle was weakened enough for a table! Burchill sets the table up near the stage area, then lifts Angle on his shoulders for the air-ride-siren but Angle slips off, and backdrop suplexes Burchill through the table!
However, a pinfall attempt only gets a 2-count, so Kurt finds a silver table under the ring and sets it up ringside. He then grabs and lifts Burchill up for the Angleslam, but once again Burchill has sneakily found a weapon without Kurt noticing, as Burchill blasts kurt with the hardcore title belt in mid air of the Angle slam attempt! Burchill quickly climbs the ring apron and hits an Asai moonsault onto kurt, which only just gets a two and 3/4 pinfall count. Burchill then lays Angle across the silver table, and goes for another asai moonsault, but Kurt rolls off the table and leaps onto the apron besides Burchill. Kurt then tries to german suplex Burchill off the apron and onto the table below, but Bucrchill grasps onto the ropes for dear life, before viciously and desperately elbowing him off. This only staggers Kurt, as he retaliates with a clotheslines that knocks Burchill over the ropes and into the ring. Kurt follows him into the ring, and delivers 3 german suplexes in succession, gets all fired up and goes up top for a moonsault. But Mean Monkey dashes onto the apron, so Kurt punches him off!
Then Tommy Dreamer attempts the same as Monkey, but also gets punched off! After that distraction, Burchill sneaks over and hits a low blow to Kurt, before climbing up onto the top rope besides him. Burchill hooks Kurt up like a rockbottom, then backflips off the top rope with Kurt in his clutches, nailing a diving C4 onto Kurt, from the top rope and crashing down to the silver table ringside!
The impact is hideously investigating, and both men are left lifeless, until Tommy Dreamer finally drags and lays Burchill over Kurt, which the referee counts thrice, getting the three count pinfall victory.
Kevin: Words cannot describe what we have just witnessed! I've seen car crashes end less brutally than that!!
Bucky: Holy Cow, that was beyond extreme! A diving C4 from out the ring, crashing into the table? I CAN'T BELIEVE MY EYES!
Kevin: As incredible a sight and a maneuver that was to pull off, you still can't help but feel that victory was somewhat dirty, I mean both the S.A.W guys got involved and Burchill capitalized with a low blow to Kurts privates!
Bucky: I agree with you there, as impressive as Burchill is a wrestler, that's not the actions of a champion, at all.
Kevin: The hostile invasion of RBW by these S.A.W rebels is going strong for these three so far
Bucky: I don't know if Kurt can bounce back from this, that was such a death defying landing he took there at the end. Who knows what will happen now, with the unit known as S.A.W on the prowl
Kevin: Only time will tell what their next move will be, but right now it's time for another championship contest, the Women's Champion Ariel defends against Lara
Bucky: The Dark Princess to Undertaker's throne, Ariel, has had that gold for a very long time, the power still lays within the darkside concerning the womens title, but will Lara be able to vanquish the evil and restore the title back to justice? We'll find out now...
Women's Championship
"The Dark princess" Ariel .vs. Lara
The fierce females begin with a lockup, as Lara overpowers Ariel with some force. A second lockup, but this time Ariel pulls Laras' hair, taunting the challenger. Lara quickly armdrags her off, followed by a dropkick, and sets Ariel up for the DDT. Ariel lifts Lara up and drops her face first into the turnbuckle! The Women's Champion then unleashes some vicious grounded knee strikes to Lara, which gets a 2 count. Ariel then hits a top rope splash, which also gets a 2 count. Ariel hisses out of frustration, so she hooks Lara up for the Reverse DDT, but Lara spins out and hits a flurry of forearm strikes to Ariel, followed by a flapjack. Lara kips up, as Ariel stumbles back to her feet so Lara delivers a furious spin kick, but Ariel ducks it, and hits Lara with an STO. This only gets a 2 count though, so Ariel pulls Lara up by her hair, but out of nowhere Lara catches Ariel with the spinning kick, which gets a 2 count pinfall also. Lara then goes up to the top rope, and as she dives off for Lou-Thez-Press attack, Ariel ducks and Lara soars over her, landing on her feet. Ariel quickly clips her leg down with a chop block and synches in an a nasty ankle-lock! After Ariels gruelling effort to gain a submission, Lara manages to roll forward and her momentum breaks the hold and takes Ariel down onto her front, so Lara then locks in an Ankle-lock to Ariel! The Womens Champion looks as if she is about to tap out, but she manages to roll out of the hold the same way Lara did, but the momentum sends Lara going face first into the women's Championship title belt, as it was left dangling across the top turnbuckle! As Lara stumbles around from smashing her head into the golden steel plate, Ariel hooks her up for the implant buster, which connects and gets the 3 count victory for the successfully defending women's champion.
Kevin: Well there you go, the Dark Princess retains her gold, and the darkside hold onto the power of that Championship Gold
Bucky: And speaking of the darkside having power, the next match is the decider of RBW's future. We have Ariel's Dark Master and Lord of Evil, The Undertaker, challenging Jeff Hardy for the RBW Championship!
Kevin: This is a WrestleMania 9 rematch, but this time it will be fought inside a steel cage, where you can win by pinfall, submission or escaping the cage
Bucky: and like we just witnessed with Ariel, the darkside are on good form tonight, and with that momentum could we see the Undertaker regain the Title and suck the power of RBW back into his evil reign once more?
Kevin: I certainly hope not! Jeff managed to defeat Undertaker once, and I pray he can do it again
Bucky: well it's all or nothing now, this time it's inside a steel cage, the Undertaker is more intense and driven to regain what was his, but can Jeff Hardy prove he isn't a fluke champion? Let's see who will decide the fate of RBW in our Championship Steel Cage contest, right now...
RBW Championship
Steel Cage match
Jeff Hardy .vs. Undertaker
Undertaker is accompanied down the entrance with his Morticians, Maven & Steele (the tag team Champions), who hang around ringside as Undertaker enters the cage. The RBW Champion, Jeff Hardy, then makes his entrance, but is soon savagely attacked by the Morticians! All of a sudden Matt Hardy comes running down with a Steel Chair and chases the Morticians away to the back! Jeff shakes off the damage and enters the cage, but immediately Undertaker grabs and throws him into a corner and the punches begin to unload. Taker walks backwards to the opposite side of the ring and then charges, but Jeff dodges and begins to fore-arm smash the Deadman in the corner. Undertaker shoves Jeff away, then catches a kick from Jeff, but Jeff follows up with an inside out enziguri. Undertaker falls down into the corner and Jeff runs up for the pendulum dropkick he calls the Hardiac Arrest, but Undertaker escapes it as Jeff crashed into the corner.
Undertaker capitalizes on Jeff crashing into the corner, and strikes away at Jeff in the corner. He then throws the RBW Champion face first into the cage wall!
This leads to a nasty beatdown from the Undertaker, finally resulting in the oldschool rope attack leaving Jeff Hardy holding the back of his neck. With the damage done, Undertaker begins to climb up the cage and as he finally gets one leg over the wall, Jeff manages to grab his over leg to stop him escaping the cage. Jeff climbs up beside 'Taker and they throw fists whilst sitting ontop of the cage, until undertaker lariats Jeff back into the ring! Undertaker then re-adjusts himself so he's standing on the middle of the top rope, and delivers a huge legdrop onto Jeff! This scores a 2-count pinfall only. Undertaker beats down Jeff some more, even grinding his face into the steel cage wall! Finally, Undertaker decides to finish off Jeff, as he scoops him up for a Tombstone. Jeff manages to wriggle until he can reach the cage with his hands, and pulls himself off from across undertakers' shoulders as he clings onto the cage and begins to quickly climb up! Undertaker pulls Jeff back down onto his shoulders for an electric chair position, but Jeff swivels around and executes a hurricanrana which sends Undertaker flying face first into the turnbuckle! Undertaker sinks to the corner as Jeff follows up with the Hardiac Arrest! Jeff quickly follows up with a snappy Twist of fate, which gets a two count! Jeff then climbs the cage, but stops at the top and thinks for a second. He then looks down, and positions himself for a diving moonsault, but Undertaker quickly sits up and climbs the ropes, until he scoops Jeff from underneath into a powerbomb position!
Undertaker then hits the Last Ride slamming Jeff Hardy from the top of the cage to the hard ring below! Undertaker then covers Jeff for the pin, getting a two and 7/8ths pinfall count! Unable to pin the champion, Undertaker begins to climb the cage to obtain the victory of cage escape. As Undertaker is about to get his second leg over the side of the cage, a groggy but determined Jeff Hardy is pulling himself up the side of the cage, and grabs the Undertakers' leg! They begin to brawl on top of the cage yet again, but Undertaker grabs Jeff by the throat! With a Chokeslam on the menu, Jeff manages to kick the Undertaker in the head, and wobbles the deadman off the cage and crashing back into the ring! Jeff Hardy takes a few seconds to get his breath back, until he perches both feet on the ledge of the cage.
Jeff Hardy then dives off the top of the cage, hitting a huge swantom bomb onto the Undertaker in the ring! Jeff covers the deadman, getting a three-count pinfall victory to retain the RBW Title.
Kevin: He did it! Hardy did it!
Bucky: He overcame everything the Undertaker had to offer and went to the extreme to finish the Deadman with the biggest Swantom Bomb I've ever seen!
Kevin: Jeff Hardy made sure, with a huge exclamation point, that the Undertaker did not leave the cage with the RBW Championship!
Bucky: Jeff Hardy can walk out of Backlash, after he put his body and his soul on the line, knowing he is the true RBW Champion and the saviour of RBW
Kevin: For such a long time RBW had become a horrible and dangerous place with Undertaker at the healm, but with Jeff Hardy beating Undertaker at WrestleMania 9 and again in the cage tonight at Backlash, the Championship and RBW itself is in safe hands
Bucky: What an amazing match we just witnessed, I don't think Undertaker has any excuses now, he's been defeated twice and that should be the end of him
Kevin: We can only hope so! But one rivalry that isn't over is about to reach it's conclusion up next, as Amazing Alan defends his European Championship against the former champion, Kenwood
Bucky: That's right, Alan won the European Title from Kenwood by very questionable methods and has adopted a new attitude since becoming European champion. He's become sneaky and likes to take shortcuts, all he cares about is retaining the European Title at any cost, and it's a darn shame as he's so talented he doesn't need to sink to this level!
Kevin: I think it says more about Kenwood being a legitimate threat more than it does about Alans' tactics, but I do agree, Alan has been alot more crafty since winning the Title, and he's managed to evade Kenwood long enough, but tonight they clash one-on-one for the gold!
Bucky: It's Amazing Alan, defending the title against the challenger he's been trying to avoid for some time now; Kenwood! And we'll soon find out who the true European Champion is....
European Championship
Amazing Alan .vs. Kenwood
Kenwood makes his entrance, looking confident and ready to regain his European Championship, but all of a sudden, Amazing Alan rushes down on and attacks Kenwood from behind with the European Title belt!
Alan then slams Kenwood's head onto a nearby chair three times, before then lifting Kenwood up and backdrop suplexes him onto the open steel chair!
Alan begins to mount and punch away at a defenseless and vulnerable Kenwood, until Shane O'Mac and Lance Storm, followed by some staff and the referee joins in, to break Alan away. The referee says Kenwood is in no fit state to compete after this assault, as Shane O'Mac warns Alan to stop the assault and this hideous behavior, but Alan just smirks and says "I've already proven my point, anyway! I'm the real European Champion, not that weakling laying on the floor!" before Alan leaves back through the stage with his precious European Title firmly in his clutches.
Kevin: Are you kidding me? Did that actually just happen?
Bucky: I can't believe it either...
Kevin: That coward Alan, blindsiding Kenwood before the match had even begun, and those attacks with the chair... just sickening!
Bucky: It's a desperate act from a desperate man, Kevin. He knows he can't beat Kenwood, so this is his way of avoiding him, yet again!
Kevin: Well management won't like this! Alan may have got away from facing Kenwood tonight, but I think it's only going to make it worse in the long run
Bucky: Oh, for sure! This is a long way from over, and one day Alan will get what's coming to him, just you wait and see!
Kevin: But that will indeed be for another time, because now... It is Main Event Time, here at RBW BackLash! Are you ready for the World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber?
Bucky: It's been years since RBW has had an Elimination Chamber match, this one being the third ever! It's Big Show, Charlie Haas, Mike Awesome, and the World Heavyweight Champion, Chip Hazard, all locked inside this sinister chamber!
Kevin: And in this match the Big Show is seeking revenge on Chip Hazard, after Chip defeated him for the World Heavyweight title at WrestleMania 9! Not only that, but Big Show's team mate, Charlie Haas, is in the mix, and we know they're bound to have the odds in their favour as a team!
Bucky: Well, we did see some tension between them on Smackdown, when they both were fighting over who would raise the World Title, it looked like the Championship meant more to them than their team did!
Kevin: And let's not count out Mike Awesome, the man who won a huge Battle Royale match to earn a shot in the Chamber! He's been a former World Heavyweight Champion himself, you know? And funnily enough, it was Chip Hazard who ended up beating Mike for the World Heavyweight Title, so all these years later, Mike finally has a chance to regain the title, and against the very same man who took the very same title from him!
Bucky: Poetic Justice, it would seem
Kevin: Well, that's if Mike wins of course, but by the looks of it, all four of these guys have held the World Heavyweight Title before, and each one of these guys are capable of doing it again!
Bucky: Well, only time will tell who the Champion will be after this war, but that time is NOW!
World Heavyweight Championship
Elimination Chamber
Chip Hazard .vs. Mike Awesome .vs. Big Show .vs. Charlie Haas
The match begins with Big Show and Mike Awesome starting in the ring, whilst Charlie Haas and the World Champion, Chip Hazard, are secure inside the pods. Mike and Show start with a lock up as Show overpowers Mike with attitude! Mike resiliently gets back up and unloads some furious forearm strikes, so Show pushes him away, but Mike rebounds off the ropes with a running forearm strike, which only staggers Show. Mike hits a couple more running forearms that staggers Show into the corner. Mike then charges but Show flips him over his head and over the ropes. Mike lands feet first onto the steel floor which is level with the ring, and as Show turns around Mike launches a plancha at him. Show catches Mike's plancha, and lifts him above his head as if to slam him but Mike slips off and lands behind the Big Show. Show turns around and Mike goes to slam him, but Show anchors his weight too heavily for Mike to lift, and seems like he put his back out trying to lift the giant. Big Show takes advantage of this with a thunderous lariat to Mike! Big Show stays in control for the next few minutes, with heavy shots and occasional slams, keeping Mike grounded, until Show runs into a cornered Mike who gets his boot into Big Show's face! As Show staggers around Mike comes off the top rope with and knocks Big Show down with a flying crossboy block, as both men are down and out.
The next pod opens and Charlie Haas enters the match, who attacks Mike Awesome with some nasty strikes. Haas then helps his fellow Krystal-Maze team mate up, Big Show, as they give Mike a double backdrop suplex. Although they begin to argue who gets to pin him, so Haas shoves Big Show away after saying "I want to eliminate him!" and pins Mike, but at a 2-count Show pulls him off and pins Mike for himself. Haas then pushes Big Show off. They begin bickering to each other before a shoving contest begins, and during this miscommunication, Mike Awesome has made it to the top rope, and flattens them both with a diving cross body block!
Haas gets up and Mike hits him with a German suplex, then Big Show gets but Mike ducks his lariat and German suplexes Big show too! Mike then drags Haas next to Big show, as he climbs the top rope, and points to them saying he's going to frog splash them both. All of a sudden the final pod opens and out comes the World Champion, Chip Hazard!
Chip enters the the match and pushes Mike off the top rope and sends him crashing into the ring! Chip enters the ring and hits a dragon suplex on the groggy Mike Awesome, but then Big show blasts Chip Hazard in the jaw with a super kick! Big Show then pins the man who beat him for the World title, but Chip kicks out at two! Big Show then cranks up his fist, ready to unleash the Knockout Punch, and as Chip staggers up Big Show swings for his head! But Chip ducks, and manages to deadlift Big Show with a dragon suplex, planting the giant on the back of his neck, which gets a 3 count and eliminates Big Show from the match!
As Chip gets up, Charlie Haas hits a springboard missile dropkick to the back of the Champion's head, which gains a 2-count pinfall only. Haas then goes to the top rope, looking concerened as he notices Big Show leaving the chamber, but lands diving moonsault onto Chip Hazard, which also gets a two count. Haas decides that desperate times call for desperate measures if he's to beat the Champion, so he decides to go for another moonsault, but this time he climbs onto the top rope and then onto the top of the pod! While Haas is getting his footing and balance ready for the moonsault, Mike Awesome sneaks up onto the Pod aswell. Before Haas knows what's going on, Mike has already got Haas clutched in his arms like a bear hug!
Mike then launches Haas off the top of the pod with a body shattering belly to belly overhead suplex taking Haas, and himself, off the Pod and crashing down to the ring canvas! Mike then crawls over and pins Haas, to eliminate him with a 3-count. Down to the final two, Mike Awesome staggers to his feet, as does Chip Hazard, and they back up into each other! They both turn around quickly and exchange punches, but Chip gets the upper hand with a lariat that tears Mike Awesome inside out! Chip grabs Mike and locks in the dragon suplex, but Mike rams Chip backwards into the corner, before the dragon suplex can be delivered! Mike then tries to powerbomb the World Champ, but Chip flings Mike over his head. Chip follows up by scooping Mike Awesome up, and dropping him down with a devastating Dominator! This gets a pinfall count of 2 and a half only, as Chip seems to get frustrated by Mike's resilience. Mike crawls to a corner, but it's a bad choice as Chip Hazard comes charging and flips all his 400 pounds of body weight onto him with a cannonball attack!
Again the 3 count still escapes Chip, as he gets even more angrier after another failed pinfall attempt. Chip roars in a primal rage of anger, and hooks Mike for his finishing move, the Dragon Suplex, and executes the move... but Mike Awesome manages to over rotate in mid-air and land on his feet! Mike lands behind Chip, and unleashes a savage german suplex! And another german suplex! And a third german suplex in succession, with a bridging pin, but only gets a 2 and a half count for Mike. Mike Awesome ascends the top rope, and delivers a frog splash, but Chip rolls out of harms way, and Mike crashes to the ring canvas, as Chip quickly scoops up the broken Mike and nails the Dragon Suplex! With a briding pin, Chip Hazard gets the count of 2 and 7/8ths, and when Mike kicks out at the last mile-second, Chip goes berserk! In a frenzy, he grabs Mike by his mullet, and drags him to the corner, placing him on the top rope. Chip then climbs up behind him and locks in the dragon suplex hold! Somehow, Mike Awesome desperately elbows Chip Hazard in the jaw enough times to escape the top rope dragon suplex and knock the World Champion to the ring with a thud. Mike re-positions himself and soars through the air, crashing down with a frog splash, and pins Chip Hazard! The pinfall victory for Mike was just close it was unreal, as it was numerically a dust particle away from being a three count! Mike holds his head in disbelief, but only for a moment, as he determinately grabs Chip Hazard and nails a powerbomb on the World Champion! The referee counts the pinfall, and deja Vu is in full swing as Chip escapes the 3-count once more! The look on Mike's face slowly goes from horrified to intensely driven, as he looks up at the top of the Pod. Mike now knows what it will take to defeat Chip Hazard, as he climbs to the top of the Chamber Pod, with a FrogSplash in mind! At roughly 15 feet in the air, Mike leaps off the top and comes crashing down with a thunderous frog splash, but unfortunately Chip evades the contact at the last second as Mike smashes into the ring canvas at full force! A groggy but tenacious Chip Hazard lifts the lifeless Mike Awesome up and hits a release Dragon Suplex launching Mike backwards, shattering into the glass chamber of the pod!!
Chip then drags Mike out of the carnage that used to be the Pod and nails a final Dragon Suplex in the middle of the ring, bridging with a pin that gets the three Count victory!
Kevin: It's over, it's over' it's over!
Bucky: Holy cow! Chip Hazard victorious in the Elimination Chamber, and what a dominating conclusion!
Kevin: The World Heavyweight Champion retains the gold in what was such a violent and vicious match
Bucky: I'd say! Everyone in that match took such a brutal beating, but Mike Awesome took the worst of it all at the end there!
Kevin: You've got to respect Mike for coming so close, but tonight just proves how dominant a champion Chip Hazard really is! He survived three former World Heavyweight Champions best efforts and still came out on top!
Bucky: Chip Hazard, the grizzled veteran, still World Heavyweight Champion, in what was truly one of the most insane, intense and brutal main events we've ever witnessed!
Kevin: It's been such an incredible show tonight! So many unbelievable and unforgettable moments for sure, RBW is on fire right now and I can't wait to see the fallout from Backlash as we move forward!
Bucky: So true! The future of RBW is looking so exciting and unpredictable right now, and we thankyou all for witnessing history here tonight at Backlash, and we hope to see you all again as the journey continues at the next RBW event.
Kevin: Thanks for tuning in, until next time, RBW fans
