It is pretty hilarious how many unlikable women characters are on TV. You can tell most of the writing for TV is done by men. That's not the biggest factor, it's how the actress delivers their lines for the character. Like Lori in Walking Dead who a lot of people don't like. She wasn't a terrible character but the actress made her totally unlikable to me

Randy Marsh in South Park. I hate that character so much, can't stand any episode he has a major part in. How is the possible?!

Pretty shocked at the Angel hate on here, I think he's awesome on Buffy. And the comparison to twilight is way off. A lot of it may have to do with the fact that he was never really given a chance to shine (outside of his short stint as Angelus) Giles, Xander and Oz were all awesome off the bat. Then Riley came along and he was "Angel-lite"... and then there's Spike, and, well, no one else mattered from then on. Like I said originally, Angel was much, MUCH better with his own show. The character proved good enough to carry his own show, but wasn't given that chance on Buffy. Don't hate him by any means, but on Buffy he did annoy me. And yes, more often than not, he could easily be compared to one of the Twilight vamps. Brooding, sad vampire that carried guilt, while others of his same kind around him enjoyed their powers, and spent his time feeding off of animals, because he felt bad for hurting humans... He was sparkles away from being a Twilight vampire.

I watched the odd episode when I was younger and enjoyed it but for whatever reason never really got into it. So far I'm absolutely loving it, I'm just at the point in Season 3 when Angel has returned (Slayer Fest 98 episode) and I haven't seen any of Angel yet as I'll watch it in chronology with Buffy when I reach that point in the show. I've always known that Angel was written out of Buffy for his own show (before watching through it), but as I got more and more into Buffy I'm getting more pissed off that he's going to be leaving Buffy as he's such an awesome character, and he has amazing chemistry with SMG. Season 2 Angel was just awesome, especially the part where he's evil. I couldn't disagree more that Angel is anything like the Twilight vamps. That's such a ridiculous comment that it barely dignifies a response.

That's such a ridiculous comment that it barely dignifies a response. I laid out, in decent detail, the comparisons one could draw between Twilight and Angel. Not sure why it's so ridiculous. It's not like I'm reaching, here. At least not as much as some others could, to make an argument. This is neither here or there. Twilight comparison really was a very small part of my point. I watched Angel after Buffy was done, and I love them both. Buffy sits at the top of my favorite shows of all time. It was just so consistently good. But in a show full of great characters, Angel just fell by the way-side. Like I said, much better for him to get his own show. And I'm glad he did. For MANY of the characters' sakes. If you're loving Buffy's characters, when you start watching Angel, the first season is going to depress the hell out of you. Just a fair warning.

Definitely Riley on Buffy and Conner on Angel. I wish such hardcore death upon the both of them. Why the hate for Riley? He was so freaking boring. How ever it was managed that a college student by day, military demon hunter by night character could be boring I have no idea. But he was. Plus, he was a douche any time there was conflict.

In the 6th season, she's just effing fantastic. Xander has a tough couple seasons there in the middle, like 4-5...but he also gets redeemed. They all have their tough moments, some lasting more than others. Even Spike. Part of the problem for any show that lasts more than 5 seasons, I think. Yeah, I don't want to ruin too much with the Angel character, since you haven't gotten to see it, yet. But I'll tell ya what wont ruin it -- if there were ever a competitor for a character being as consistently awesome as Spike, he came in Angel.

Their bickering was pretty hilarious.

I know Spike is incredibly popular, so that's certainly an interesting statement. Xander is about my 3rd favorite character so far (after Buffy and Angel) so far.

Maybe someone mentioned it but Manny from Modern Family has pretty much ruined that show for me. I can't watch any scenes with that kid anymore.

Jean-Ralphio - Parks and Rec. Hate him so much. Marie Schrader - Breaking Bad. So annoying. I don't hate Skylar at all. I think Marie is the worst. Jenny Schecter - The L Word. I have never hated a character as much as I've hated her.Denny Duquette - Grey's Anatomy. Then again I hate most of the Grey's cast. Kevin Walker - Brothers and Sisters. Awful. Just awful. Kurt Hummel - Glee. He's right up there by Jenny Schecter. Carlos Nieto - Third Watch. This was one of the few shows my family watched together and none of us liked him. Leo Johnson - Twin Peaks. Though I guess we were supposed to hate him so he did a great job at that. I don't know why I even watch TV. I agree Jenny is annoying as piss and also seems like she is supposed to be mildly intellectually- disabled, but no way in hell is she as annoying as Bette. Sweet Jesus I hate that dumb whore. I loved Bette. I hated Tina. Max was up there in the quite annoying category. However, Dana will always be my favorite.

oh Greys Anatomy........Grey & Yang are two of the most unlikeable main characters on any show EVER. Bailey, Chief Webber, Addison, Teddy and Kepner are/were the only ones I really liked.

I also realized I might have asked you this already..
