I grew up near South Bend, IN, so I like when Notre Dame has a good season.
I also lived in Columbus, OH (right next to the Ohio State football & basketball stadium) for six years, so I also like to see them have a good season.
...but I don't have a favorite team.
I went to Ball State for a year and Indiana-Purdue-Fort Wayne for the rest of my college. Ball State has a football team, but they're rarely on television, so it's hard to really follow the team. IPFW doesn't have a football team (it's mostly a volleyball school).
Which college football team do you root for?

Love me some Georgia Bulldogs. The past two years have been heartbreaking since the SEC Championship slipped out of their grasp.

UCF Knights & Michigan Wolverines
Don't really have a definitive favorite team in College Football but I like those two the most

I was wondering why there was no college football thread in here.
As for your question, SweetBob, I've got two letters for ya: O-H!

Penn State.
It's been a love-hate relationship over the last couple years and the game against Syracuse yesterday was a perfect example of it. Their defense keeps them alive, making great plays but then the offense fails to capitalize. That's always the case when you haven't had a decent QB since Michael Robinson or a great QB since Kerry Collins.

I am a UGA fan, but not a rabid fan like most people around here. A lot of people in this state only watch GA football when it comes to football. They know squat about other teams, and are shocked and crying when they get beat by someone.
They have no idea that Clemson was a tough matchup, and I expect a Loss. UGA isn't use to seeing this gimmicky crap offense and Boyd is very effective running it. Shocked when anybody else beats them too except Bama. There are tons of good fans out there too, but many are just Georgia fans and know crap about football.
Hopefully, UGA gets on track next week. Season is far from over with a loss to Clemson. I am a bigger NFL (Falcon) fan.

I am an Alumni of Auburn University, so of course... I am a die-hard Auburn Tiger fan. We had a terrible season last year when our ex-Head Coach lost control of the program, but with our ex-Offensive Coordinator Gus Malzahn at the reigns, I am excited as ever for the Tigers. Should be an interesting season. We are definitely in a rebuilding phase though. War Eagle!!!

I've grown up a Missouri Tigers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. I have family living in Columbus, Ohio, so that's where that stems from, and I live in Missouri and currently attend Mizzou.

I was wondering why there was no college football thread in here. As for your question, SweetBob, I've got two letters for ya: O-H! Ha! See, I didn't know about the O-H thing until I moved there. I bought an Ohio State hoodie (because it was cheap and I was cold) and some guy at the gas station yelled O-H! at me and I said I said a curse word that is associated with fecal matter with a question mark after it. I confused the heck out of that guy. It wasn't until later that week that I figured it out. I was a financial consultant at NBC4, so I had a crash course of all things Ohio State and Columbus from my co-workers in the newsroom. so, I-O!

I watch college football much more passively than the NFL, mostly because I hate the BCS system. I particularly enjoy watching Oregon, Boise State, Wisconsin, and Michigan play, though.
