I'm really happy with the amount of closure we got. Jax finally (hopefully) got the Tellers out of the club; Jax got the club out of guns; and both Robocop and Marks were taken care of (awesomely, I might add). No loose ends.
It was great to see Jax channel his inner-Opie with the "I got this", before wrapping everything up.

What do you guys think the sheriff and Patterson were thinking once they entered Charlies shop?

What do you guys think the sheriff and Patterson were thinking once they entered Charlies shop? Sheriff Jarry remained clueless, per usual. And I believe Patterson knew what Jax was up too.. She had this look on her face that said "this cop was dirty, and Jax just killed him".. Like she knew what was happening. Jax promised peace and she kinda had faith in that.

Yeah, Jarry was clueless, but it finally dawned on Patterson what Jax meant when he said "the bad guys lose".

I know I'm bumping this, but I just binge watched this show, start to finish in 11 months. I really enjoyed the series. I'm indifferent about how Jax went out. I think it makes sense & I could see it coming. But for whatever reason, it doesn't sit perfect with me. The frustrating part is, I just can't quite put my finger on it.

He essentially committed suicide. Just like I predicted before it happen and some in here said it was outside of his character to do that. Personally I think he should have went out to the Mayhem vote and stuck by the honor of the club. I get why they let him go and take care of it himself, but it's just so different than how they'd handle other situations.

It does't make sense for him to go out Mayhem because he was trying to set a bad example for his kids to look back upon. He needed to look as bad as possible in their eyes so they don't repeat the sins of the father.

I get why they let him go and take care of it himself, but it's just so different than how they'd handle other situations. As soon as he got on the bike & we saw the first shot of him riding through the hills, I instantly knew he was going out like his Dad did. The only twist was, like you said, he considered suicide the best play. The club going the route they did was their way of not having to live with the burden of killing Jax. One thing I do wonder is, did the club know he was basically going to commit suicide, or did they think he was just going to take off? Shooting Happy was to create the illusion Jax put up a struggle & got away. But I do agree that it's different than how they'd handle it usually. If we had the group in the earlier seasons at the table that we had at the end, I don't think it goes down like it did. Samcrow would of taken him out themselves.
