I didn't really care for the lame stereotypical "corrupt small town cops" segments with the stolen vehicles but I'm glad to see Juice and Bobby getting some character development.

Yea I thought the "pull over" was a little cheesy and was kinda confused at first where they were going with Juice's actions.
Definitely nice to see a somewhat mellow episode, in terms of no one dying or being blown up in the final scene.

SOOO good to see Bobby and hear of his plans, though I agree that the cops in Eden and that whole thing felt out of place.
I wonder how soon Tara will want her divorce from Jax to be put into motion.

I was wondering what Tara was up to with that blood pack I couldn't tell what it was at first. I feel like with all her deceit and hidden agenda and ultimately her actions tonight, she has become what she's always hated.

Got a bad feeling this is going to come back to bite Tara in the ass, to which she will reveal that Gemma had a part in the death of John Teller.

Just to save her own ass once Jax finds out she wasn't really pregnant and Tara's secret plans are out in the open.

The Jax and Tara relationship is so far off the rails right now. I get that Tara is doing everything possible to protect her kids, and that she probably has every right to do what she's doing, but she went "Gemma" to do it, at least she has so far. That makes her unlikeable as far as I'm concerned. Tara was always an extremely loyal character and I liked that she grew edgier and stronger over the course of the show, but she's taken a dive into crazy town. Again, I'm not saying it doesn't make sense, but it has altered my perspective on rooting for her.
Just for the record, Tara hasn't said I love you to Jax since she got out of prison has she? She always says "me too", which is extremely unusual and something Jax would have surely picked up on in real life. I want to believe that Jax, Tara and the kids all get out together, and that Tara ultimately still wants that to happen, which could be a part of her plan, but she's not even selling any kind of love for Jax right now. This to me is really frustrating since their relationship has always been the hope element of the show. I'm not counting out that Tara is the smartest person in the room though. It's pretty evident she isn't going to prison imo, and I hope everything she is doing is a bigger, more engrossing, plan to get her family out of Charming. Tara getting caught up by Jax or Gemma and spiraling out of control to her eventual death is genuinely the last place I want to see this show go.
I don't know, most of Season 5 and definitely Season 6 has been tough on the like-ability of all of the characters. Even Jax went through a stretch where I thought he was being Clay and was just totally unlikeable, which I don't think was by accident. He won me back, especially with his speech to the charters at the table, but it's hard to be invested into a show when you can't relate to any of the main characters, or flat out root for them. I just don't see the end game yet. Maybe we're still too far out. I've read so many times that Opie was the catalyst for the end game. Right now, he feels like the proverbial jumping of the shark. If this goes the "Gemma standing over her son at the head of the table, fade to black" route, then I'm going to be extremely pissed. Gemma's a horrible human being that belongs in prison or dead, just like Clay. If Sutter positions his wife as some kind of heroine, or even a martyr, to close this thing out, then he can take a giant leap. This to me will always be Jax and Tara's demented love story, for better or worse.

My DVR took a dump or something. No clue. Only happens with FX.

From the preview, looks like someone that isn't Chibbs, Juice, Jax, Tig, or Happy is going to die. It better not be Bobby. Or it could be a clip from when the Irish killed Phil and the other guy. Also looks like Jax and Nero get into an altercation.

I'll be sure to catch it one way or another. It's playing at 12:30 tonight, right after the second airing of tonight's episode. As for tonight, that DA lady is definitely trying to get herself killed, I think more so than just about any other do-gooder character we have seen so far. She seems so out of her element with these guys that I feel like she's a layup for a future dead body haha. Maybe that's just me but I just can't take her seriously at all. I think the only reason she is a threat is because Nero's gang is a liability if any of them get caught up. Eli coming around to the shades of grey is a nice development imo. The moment between Jax and Gemma was pretty awesome, but it won't last. I honestly think Wendy dying is about the only way Tara maneuvers out of the spot she is going to land in with Jax. I'm interested to see how Nero will get involved in that situation, and how the pressure of those pictures will weigh on his conscience. I like that Jax acknowledged how far out of whack he is with Tara, but if he finds out the truth then we are going to have to sit through a sh*t storm of drama over it. A part of me thinks Tara is going to end up actually pregnant, karma being the boomerang and what not. That could be a way for her to stay protected.

Also looks like Jax and Nero get into an altercation. I'm pretty sure that's the same scene from when Phil died. They lit the one side on fire and then the other side caught on fire after that. In the preview clip, you can see the one side on fire, and then the side on the left with the vest on it that hadn't been torched yet. I'm not sure why they are showing that again, but I'm guessing it has something to do with Clay and the Irish since we see Clay bloody. I know they mentioned Connor in this episode staying stateside.

I like your SOA posts, they're always pretty insightful. Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about the DA. Maybe it's due to me wanting to see her get killed more than anything, ha. Like when she was in the bathroom at the hospital, took off her wig and was like time to get ghetto sista, I was like ha, this bitch. She is so out of place but I guess it's a good contrast to the rest of the characters. I do like how a lot of her efforts are being stonewalled, like Touric being the murderer and Nero protecting the club. I'm not too sure how I feel about Tara and Jax right now. I believe you said it last week but I'm finding it very hard to root for Tara. She's almost making Gemma feel like a sympathetic character. I do like how she now seems to be conflicted about leaving Jax and some remorse over what she's done. Not remorseful because she feels bad she did it, more so because she fears the repercussions of the truth.

Yeah, Tara went full blown Gemma last week. A part of me started to feel sorry for Gemma after Jax verbally crushed her soul tonight. Not because I don't think Gemma deserves to be abused, but just for her being held responsible for something she didn't do. Gemma has done plenty of horrible sh*t that it's hard to get any satisfaction out of seeing her framed. Opie shooting Clay was satisfaction. Clay being roughed up in prison just makes me feel sorry for him. So it's the same deal here where you want them punished but at a point where they truly deserve it. Tara was always the yin to Gemma's yang, and now they are just two peas in the pod together. Team Tara and Team Gemma are both irrelevant in a situation where they are both just acting like horrible human beings. I think the fact that Jax is turning everything around and genuinely wants to try and fix his relationship just makes Tara look even more horrible than she already did last week.
I think it's going to be about redemption for Tara though. Jax is currently trying to fix everything and find that redemption and Tara will hopefully go through that same transition. I mean everyone has attempted to make Tara feel guilty for one reason or another and we are only a week into this thing. That's going to mean something to Tara because deep down she has a good heart, just like Jax. Also, who knows how long Unser will play ball until he lets it slip to Jax or Nero or someone who can open the flood gates. In the preview we see Gemma right back at her old ways, so I see this situation escalating quickly over the next episode or two. Wendy doing drugs again is obviously going to come into play as well.

Anyone else catch what happened when the car ran down the gang banger? Everyone jumped out of the way except Juice. The car missed him by maybe a foot. I'm thinking he's got a death wish like Opie did.

I'm thinking he's got a death wish like Opie did. I did actually notice that, he just stood there like it was no big deal. I thought that was going to be touched on or brought up but definitely an interesting point.
