I used to just collect X-Men. I've filled the bottom two shelves in a little less than a month: That was taken Tuesday. I've gotten the panther & lizard wave since then and also complete my Ultron. That's what happens. Welcome to the addiction!

There was an EE box set a few years ago. 3ntertainment 3arth. The Retro package versions would probably be the best bet for Avengers. Series one had Cap and Iron Man. B-Radimus Prime -- POOR-ly Cuyler is right about that EE GotG box set. It is truly phenomenal, overall (except Rocket, but my complaints are as a stop motion animator, rather than collector). Sad thing is? There was a point when it was $30 (when I first got into this a couple years back, and had no interest in them) but -- it's worth it for Gamora alone. She's also the reason you're going to pay a mint for the set now. I'm sure we'll get another 2 GotG sets when Vol. 3 comes around, BUT -- I wouldn't put too much money on getting these figs. If we get comic versions, I'd wager it'll be of characters like Yondu... The retro Iron Man and Captain America pictured are excellent. Personally? I LOVE this Captain America, even though some dislike it, particularly the face. It's the Batman Returns version of Cap. He's clearly aged and more seasoned. The Spider-Man and Black Widow from this wave will also work well for you, and we're getting the Retro 2 wave. If you want a younger comic Spidey, you'll need the Ultimate version from the Space Venom wave. But the Retro is a "Pizza Spidey" reissue. Also, with the announced Retro wave, if the characters are accurate, we'll be getting comic: Ant-Man, Wasp, Vision, Black Panther AND Hawkeye. Scarlet Witch, you'll want the Odin wave one. There's an older Falcon, but he's pretty weak. I'd hold out. A QUALITY comic-book Thor and Hulk are both WAYYYYYYYYY overdue. But there's a decent enough KO hulk for cheap that fits in well on Ebay right now. Dr. Strange has a modern comic look out there that's decent, but they haven't done a "classic" look in a long, long time. Thanks for the responses guys! Truly appreciate it! I was looking into the Guardians Boxset but couldn’t remember if they all had single releases as well. I’m looking to start a whole roster of Avengers figures so the Retro Series might be best. I mainly only go for X-Men characters but with how long it takes for each of those series to come out, I figured I’d start collecting Guardians, Avengers and select Spider-Man characters.

Kinda a spoiler for Deadpool 2 I hope they come out with that Hugh Jackman Logan figure, that Deadpool was playing with in the beginning of the movie. It has Hugh's head, and it is awesome.

What i really like about those toybiz legends is that they stay moc very well considering the card is protected by plastic Toybiz Marvel Legends is the greatest Marvel toyline of all time. They had 30+ points of articulation, tamper/theft proof packaging, a comic book and a BAF piece, display stand or even a friggin motorcycle all for only $9.99.

Not really Marvel Legends, but still Toybiz and the same scale/style, but I think Fantastic Four Movie clear Invisible Woman was their best female figure. I also liked the Urban Legends Elektra in white.

I think their (ToyBiz) best females figures were in the LotR lines.
I hated that toy biz would use the same body parts in various lines. Like their ML Cyclops was the WCW Evolution of Sting surfer Sting torso as will as their TNA AJ Styles figure.

I know this was brought up before, but what are the realistic chances we get corvus glaive and ebony maw figures when the next avengers film comes Out? Proxima and cull seem so lonely right now.

On Thursday, I got street dated at Gamestop. I gave it another try today after seeing posts about others using in-store pick up. Their website still says 6/1, but now the warning doesn't pop up at the register.

Strong possibility still, I'd say. They need villains to include in the waves, and they're still part of the overall story.

Honestly, there was no need for an ant man or wasp when they could have made them in a wave for that movie.
