Does anyone here know what era the Walgreens Fantastic Four exclusives are based on? It's kind of a stylized version of the Kirby art imo. Nick Jergotta used a similar look in FF588 (everyone should check that book out for the art). Joe Quesada did a similar look for FF600 on his variant cover. Those both stuck out to me. It kind of reminds me of their late 90s attires but Thing wore the long pants during that run. Maybe someone else knows more specifically. But this is what came to mind for me.

Seems like im the minority. I like both. But I'm not buying 17 iron man or 12 hulk. Just pointless. I personally love cobra and songbird, as well as proxima. Taskmaster is cool but I have the older one. Spider rocks, I wouldn't want the extra legs, stuff like that is dumb to me. Cap I got because I only had the capwolf u til then. And I wanted thanos. But iron man, with no BAF? Might rot for years. Marvel Legends have been quite disappointing for Infinity War. The Black Panther ones were on point. Ironman didn't come with a BAF piece. Spidey didn't come with legs. Cap was based on early concept art and didn't match his film look. I have actually been going back and buying MCU Marvel Select loose. Cap, Spidey and Thor are being made for Infinity War. CANNOT wait. I only got panther and killmonger from that wave. Nakia was lame in the movie so I passed. Black bolt looked.nice but does nothing for me. Namor is someone I don't see the appeal in. And I still don't need another iron man. And don't need to build okoye.

I heard the Apocalypse BAF wave hit on the west coast It was one guy that gets his stuff directly from Hasbro and he broke street like the guy in Canada.

Looks closer than a lot of other looks. I don't get the Grey 4 logos though, I can't find them exactly like that anywhere. Is this line usually comic accurate to a certain artist design and era?

Is this line usually comic accurate to a certain artist design and era? I would say most figures are usually in the ballpark of an era, sans the Jim Lee stuff which has been spot-on. Like the first Deadpool figure is based on the Deadpool/Cable: Split Second story art but then they used the Ed McGuinness Cable from X-Sanction for his first figure. So I can't say there seems to be any rhyme or reason to what they pick. I think they are largely using cover art as reference pics if I were to guess.

Grabbed Ant Man. Really glad to replace the old one. Undecided on Wasp. I didn’t grab people like Shield, Nebula or Yondu, so I may just skip her.

I got lucky enough to find the entire Thanos set in one stop, so I couldn’t pass up on that.

I also picked up the Starlord/Ego 2-pack today from my final TRU trip today; 50% off. I was hoping to find the Vision/Scarlet Witch pack as well, but the shelves were wiped empty. I’m wanting to get at least Black Panther, Doctor Strange, and Thor & Antmam from the upcoming wave if anyone has them available for trade/sale at a decent price.

I blamed Alonzo for the absence of the F4 for a long time until I learned other forces were at play. Then I didn't blame him AS MUCH.

Just started collecting Marvel, always loved the figures, but couldn’t pull the trigger until recently...
