Thats what my TRU and KMart used to look like in 1997. Thats incredible, I've never seen that many Mattels at one store. Is it the only place to get them in that area?

Wow... makes me realize how pathetic our American stores are.
If you combined the inventory of EVERY store in a 30 mile radius of my area - it still wouldn't even look close to this good.
American retail stores really do not take any pride in their toy selections anymore. Really sad. Empty shelves used to be frowned upon - now they're the norm, and empty pegs are typically just filled with other items, just spread out more.

There's at least one Smyths within about an hour's drive of most people in the UK (except people living in the remote parts of Scotland I guess). I have about eight of them that are an hour or less away. I tend to only go to the closest two though. There's also at least one Argos in most towns, which is good for basics but doesn't carry two-packs or elites. And there are quite a lot of Toys R Us in the UK, but they aren't as good as Smyths for wrestling stuff.

As a UK'er this is not a usual site in Toys 'R' Us etc. Haven't been to Smyths myself but will have to make a trip now!

Holy crape, that's a beautiful sight.
In the U.S. we scrounge like savages over a single case a store gets, meanwhile across the pond you've got whole walls of good figures...i'm jealous, for lack of a better term.

I think it's swings and roundabouts really... remember our (UK) retail prices are quite a bit more expensive than US ones (Elites are £16.99 = $27.40, BP's are £21.99 = $35.50). I guess it comes down to: would you rather have cheaper retail prices but have low-stocked stores/difficulty finding certain figures, or have stores full of figures and be able to find nearly everything - but pay $27/$35 prices...? Im gonna check it out as I need Funkadactyls and for £15 thats a steal (the BP's are £21.99 each... that £14.99 price is for some Rumblers stuff next to them).

How is that possible? do they all sell because thats alot of figures Always. And if a few particular figures have shelf warmed for a little while they drop the prices on that figure to get it sold.
