Give it to Ambrose. No but really, I want Axel to hold it a little longer so he ties his father's first reign at 118 or what it was. Axel is on like 107 Axel already got the "feel good" moment of winning "his dad's" belt on Father's Day. He should've dropped it a long time ago. Once Punk started feuding with Heyman, they should've either let Punk win it from Axel or have him drop the belt earlier. I wouldn't mind Ambrose getting it if it meant they were unifying the IC and U.S. Titles. But then they'd have to unify the World Titles too.

I've been enjoying him lately but I think once Axel breaks loose from Heyman (If he's still carrying the strap), things could get interesting. He's a great champion and I love Heyman, but he's overshadowing Axel's reign at this point.

He's a great champion and I love Heyman, but he's overshadowing Axel's reign at this point. Heyman's the most interesting part about Axel. That's the reason they are together in the first place is because Axel has no personality. Axel needs a mouthpiece, Heyman or otherwise. The second they take that away from him is the second everyone stops carrying about him. There is nothing wrong with needing a manager. Tyson Kidd could really benefit from one when he comes back and Justin Gabrielle needs a valet in a bad way. Some times good in-ring performers aren't dimensional enough as "superstars" and they need something to make them interesting. This to me feels like the absolute peek of Curtis Axel's career. I can't imagine him being any more interesting than what he is right now with Heyman and with that title. If you're a fan of the guy, you should hope he hangs onto Heyman for as long as possible imo.

I would love it. R-Truth is one of my favorite members of the roster. I think he should be main eventing, at least on Smackdown. It looks that that ship has sailed though. A nice HIGH midcard run would be amazing.

I think he's got a cool intensity about him and he is very solid in the ring. Plus, I was such a big fan of Mr. Perfect that it's impossible for me to not want to see him succeed. That's why I want to see him stay with Heyman. I think it makes him interesting and for that I'm grateful WWE put them together. Heyman is really a modern day Bobby the Brain imo, and that's good for anyone he manages, even Ryback who I can't stand.

For everything that has happened for Truth in 2011 that was just wasted, that lead to 2012 where he was thrown with Kofi, to now(or recently) he's just been booked to job to people that his more entertaining than (*Cough* Del Rio) so for him to win the IC title, I'd be nice to see rather than him just getting this slight push? then going back to nothing again.

Honestly,R-Truth has become arguably the most stale Superstar on the roster. At this point, I think Truth should leave the WWE altogether and return to TNA. Not only would R-Truth benefit from returning to the company that gave him 2 world titles, TNA would benefit from a fresh face and a legitimate wrestling superstar.

Axel hasn't been able to win against top opponents since a few weeks after his debut. Losing the title on a down like he is going through will most likely end any chances of getting a main push. They missed the opportunity at NOC for him to break out with a big win over Punk. Losing the title to R-Truth is not what's good for business. He needs to be defeating people like Kofi and R-Truth instead he can only defeat Sin Cara and Zack Ryder clean.

I want to see Tyson Kidd or Alex Riley win the title. Or give the belt back to Miz because the IC Title looked like a bigger deal just by him having it. Would rather see him wwe champion again.

No thanks. The only time Truth has been entertaining is as a heel, and I don't see them attempting that experiment again.
I do wish Axel would drop it, though. Talk about another failed experiment. Paul Heyman can't save everybody.

Let me hold it, at this point I'll get more pop than Curtis Axel. Lol

If he wins, he will be one of the rare few who held the NWA (TPOG) Original Championship and The IC championship.

That's a cool stat to bad the WWE wont bring it up.If my memory is right this list would be. Ric Flair Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat Christian Jeff Jarrett Kerry Von Erich Shane Douglas Ken Shamrock I am pulling for Ron Killings to pick up the win and become the new IC Champion. Not my ideal pick for the next IC Champion but Axel has done nothing with the title and has zero mic skills or that "IT" factor.Killings would be a step up in both departments.

Yeah your right, I'm going to do some more research on it. I think there maybe someone I'm over looking to go on that list. I like Axel though, he is very talented in the ring and I don't mind his mic skills they aren't that bad. But I do agree it's time for him to drop the championship.
