Sting defeats Ric Flair at 47:22 to become the Undisputed WCW Champion. Flair attacked Sting's injured leg early and quickly locked in the figure four. Sting fought his way to the ropes and the two go back and forth for much of the match. Arn Anderson ruan in for the distraction and Flair nailed Sting with the brass-nucks but only got a two. The shocked Flair quickly begins kicking the hurt Sting but Sting finds his second wind and goes to town on Flair before a low blow gives Flair the advantage again. Flair calls for the figure four again but Sting reverses into the death lock and Flair has nowhere to go and submits. Great tournament guys. I figure since it had a good turnout that we could do this with other titles as well. If anyone else would like to run one that's cool. If not I can run another. Please make suggestions below and thanks again guys.

You did a great job and if you are up for it I'd love if you ran another one.
Maybe best NWA/WCW US champion next.

Yea definitely do another one, thanks Stingersplash for starting this craze.
Maybe do a Royal Rumble winner one. Not sure how you'd be able to rank them maybe based on number entered?

Vince did plan on having the freshly heel POP dethrone Demo on a TV taping of Superstars in Dec 88 but pulled the plug.Demo were to regain them at WM5 it was also still to be a handicap match. but apparently Vince decided to keep them as champs because he was impressed at the heel heat The Brainbusters were drawing & decided they were the way to go when the time was right to dethrone Ax & Smash. in retrospect it was the right move.I still wish LODs 1st WWF feud was with Powers of Pain culminating in a loser disbands match.

I'm a fan of POP as well. Power and Glory as well. Both could have been decent tag champs at worst.

I was thinking of doing a Rumble winners battle royal, but I'm not sure how I would set up voting. I think I might set it up this afternoon once I sit down and figure out the basics.

World Tag Champs would be good. There are about 115 teams that have held the titles. Most of the backend teams only held the titles for a few days to a few weeks. To cut down on some of the many transitional teams I might do something like only teams who held the titles for at least 100 days qualify to cut it down to about 50. The bad thing about that though is that a few popular teams would be cut out (like Kane/X-Pac and Benoit/Jericho). Any suggestions on how to do this would be cool. If everyone would like every team that's cool and I'll put together a tournament with every team.

With that many champions, to be considered a "the greatest" you should be able to hold the title for over at least half a year (which is like 183 days).

With that many champions, to be considered a "the greatest" you should be able to hold the title for over at least half a year (which is like 183 days). If you do combined over 200 days for World tag team champions, you get 23 teams. If you add in the WWE tag team titles then it goes up to 28. And if you go to 183 days only 2 teams are added (which would bring it to 30) but I guarantee neither team (Luke Graham/Tarzan Tyler and Tony Parisi/Louis Cerdan) would win. To bring it up to 32 you could add the next two teams. WGTT at 180 days and Owen/Yoko at 176 days. Actually, if you combine World and WWE tag reigns then a few teams might make it in. Hart Dynasty would make it in pushing out Owen/Yoko. And that looks to be it for teams that wouldn't make it without combining. Sorry for so many edits.
