Well these certainly bring new meaning to the term 'paper champion'.

You know how practically every toy marketed at young children has some sort of crazy action feature or a playset that destructs in some way? There's a segment that loves that sort of thing. And just as importantly, there are a lot of parents who want to buy that for their 6-year-old over the regular figures that just stand there, not doing anything.
That's why Mattel makes these. FlexForce began really clogging shelves after awhile, so I do agree that it's not exactly thrilling to see them revive the spirit of that line here, but that doesn't mean these will outright bomb. Hopefully they'll be packed lighter and the commercials will better illustrate what they do. The Power Slammers just kind of...roll around together, holding hands. These are at least better than that, lol.

I very well may pick up Punk & Orton for head swaps. Then give the figures to my son.

I'm guessing that the paper accessories included with the figures are just meant to be examples of what the figure can hold, and not considered an included accessory. It's not exactly going to be hard for them to fall off the carded figure or get stolen. Cue the inevitable guy who feels the need to point out to "us" that these are for kids (or "them", I guess). Won't sell. Will warm pegs. No kid wants a wrestling figure with a mechanism that limits it's movement by having it geared to do a single "wrestling move". Why is this so difficult for companies to figure out? You mean like the entire WWF Hasbro line which consisted of figures that were only meant to do one move?

Finally, my prayers have been answered! Flex Force is back and better than ever!
These are gonna be tough to find - I just know there are gonna fly off the shelves. And I thought Power Slammers were amazing - Mattel you have outdone yourselves. Bravo, good sirs.

Hahahaha these are going to get cancelled like woah. What drugs are the people at Mattel on? FlexForce sucked, so they cancelled it and replaced it with PowerSlammers, which sucked even harder. So now they basically brought back FlexForce under the name "Strikers". NOBODY WANTS THIS CRAP. Mattel, all you have to do is make 3 things: Elite figures Basic figures Better rings Nothing else is really necissary. We don't need exploding salad bar accessories, figures that fly apart like crash dummies, figures that make noise, figures that have flashing lights, or figures that breakdance when you wind them up. Very well put. Couldn't have said it better. COME ON MATTEL.

I don't know why Punk's action feature makes me think of this: Greatness. Simply greatness.

Looks like toys.
I think a lot of flexforce figures are not much worse than basics. But this one kinda looks uglier due to the weird articulation.
Its similar to the hasbros n wcw figures of yesteryears.

Why is this so difficult for companies to figure out? You mean like the entire WWF Hasbro line which consisted of figures that were only meant to do one move? LOL Rewritten history. The current Hasbro craze (well, at least on the "Other Brands" board) notwithstanding, WWF Hasbro figures were clearanced at KayBee Toys for $3 for $9.99, en masse - all figures, all series. Hasbros were not the huge success that people here think they were. Add to that, Hasbros were twenty-three years ago. Action figures have come a long way since then. Today's kids are more sophisticated. I stand by what I said before. The "single move" dynamic is something the average kid will quickly tire of. This line will take up shelf space next to Rumblers Rampage and that will be that.
