Love the thread idea, but it's gonna take a thinking process to narrow mine down. I'll edit this post when I finalize my picks.

1.) HIM - Tears On Tape - This was a fantastic album. I have long enjoyed HIM, but to be honest their last album Screamworks felt like their worst album. There were some great songs on it, but most HIM albums I feel I can listen to the entire album and enjoy it, and I didnt feel that way about Screamworks. With Tears On Tape, they returned to that feeling. This entire album is great. Into The Night is my favorite song, but the songs Tears On Tape, All Lips Go Blue, I Will Be The End Of You, Love Without Tears, and W.L.S.T.D are all AWESOME songs. Just a really good album. 2.) The Killers - Direct Hits -I LOVE the Killers. This would have been my number 1 pick, but it is a greatest hits, and the HIM album is all new material. So I had to give it to HIM. But the Killers are one of the best modern era bands, and this is a great collection of all of their hits. Plus, the 2 new songs "Shot At The Night" and "Just Another Girl", which are exclusive to this album, are fantastic. You really cant go wrong with the Killers 3.) Tegan and Sara - Hearthrob - I didnt really know much about these girls before this year. But when the single came out of "Closer", I really liked the 80's sound to it. So I started checking out the rest of the album. I have to say its a very solid album. Especially if you are a fan of 80's music and the sound of that time. I really felt every song was easy to listen to and very enjoyable. Those are really the 3 albums I was most impressed by or excited about. There were some other good releases this year by Paramore, Pearl Jam, 30 Seconds To Mars, Korn, Stone Sour, Sleigh Bells, and One Republic. But none of those albums felt Awesome to me. You know, where you just really like every or almost every song on the album. But they still had some great stuff on them. I was also really happy Keane let out a greatest hits CD this year. Thye have had some good songs over the years. I really hope in 2014 we get albums from Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band and The Gaslight Anthem
