I watched the first few episodes on Youtube. It's decent. I'll probably try to keep up with it, but it's nowhere near the same level as the original show. Like any Disney Channel show, the acting of the younger stars is not organic. The comedy is very forced, especially with Farkle and Maya. Farkle made me laugh, but I'm not sure if that's just because he's the son of Minkus that somehow ended up in NYC where Cory and Topanga ended up. The show is essentially a water-down gender flip of Boy Meets World. Also, Cory is a terrible teacher. Kids are standing up and fighting with each other in class and he just continues his lesson or sit down in the corner quietly while they go about their business. Cory and Topanga are the best part of the show though. I personally think their daughter is great. She sells it for me with her facial expressions. Out of the 4 main kids the daughter is the best. I think it's mainly a case of what the target audience responds to that makes the kids seem forced. People that watch the Disney channel seem to really like that hyper, spastic kind of acting. I have 4 cousins under the age of 12 so I get stuck watching the Disney channel a lot. Yet these kids can't appreciate Looney Toons or Tom & Jerry. It's a damn shame.

Your cousin's dont like that stuff? Wow. Crazy. Then again those two things don't seem near as big as they did when we were kids. Which like you said, is a shame. I lived on Looney Toons as a kid.

Farkle needs killing off or writing out at the very least. And that other boy (from Texas, no idea what his name is) is also a terrible actor.

Watched the first 3 episodes and enjoying it so far. They have really done a good job of capturing that original BMW feel. I'm glad there is plenty of Cory and Topanga also.
Farkle won't last. He will disappear to the other side of the school until the graduation episode.
Augie will get written off and replaced by another actor in season 3.
Texas kid will move away and be replaced with Vader's grandson.

Speaking of recast characters. I hope if Morgan turns up, that it's the 2nd Morgan, the other one only ever did a couple episodes and was utterly forgettable.

I really have trouble suspending disbelief that they would allow a teacher's own kid to be in their class....
If the show were to continue past 65 episodes - what contrived reason will they have for Riley to still be in Cory's class past the first year?
Overall, though, I do enjoy this show much more than the other drivel that my son tends to watch on The Disney Channel.... I've decided that Cory and Topanga are both bad actors, though....

Lily Nicksay was so much better as Morgan to me. Not to mention she's insanely hot now and Morgan 2 isn't Lol

Actually enjoyed episode 4 quite a bit. Cory's son is terrible, as are Texas boy and Farkle.
I do like Maya and Riley though. They have great chemistry.

I really have trouble suspending disbelief that they would allow a teacher's own kid to be in their class.... I know I've had at least one class where the child of the teacher was in the class. If the teacher teaches the class and the student needs to take the class it doesn't really matter if they are related.

Decided to breakdown and watch the pilot of 'Girl Meets World'.. They absolutely NAILED Riley. I totally believe that she is the offspring of Corey and Topanga.. They literally could not have cast a better kid to be their kid.. The friend is too much Shawn Hunter.. Haven't figured out if that's a good thing or a bad thing. It has elements of the old show, and that's great. But it feels SO MUCH like Disney. That was probably the only negative about this show, but it's a pretty big negative.. I know it's a Disney show on a Disney channel, but they don't have to turn it into 'Hannah Montana' or 'Wizards of Waverly Place'.
I won't keep up with this show unless I read about the old cast making an appearance. Then I'll check those shows out. But it's off to a decent start, and I hope they continue to stick to the old formula without making it to Disney.
Seeing Feeney at the end gave me chills.

I didn't enjoy the two latest episodes. If I'm honest I don't have much hope for it sticking around long.
