How come JR gets such an awesome set but Paul Bearer gets a bunch of leftover crap? It's almost as if Mattel wants to prove that legends won't work and they're trying their damnedest to make it so. Or, they know people will buy these crappy repaints to build the highly sought after Paul Bearer. It's just a sales technique, with no effort in the creation or design of pre-existing figures. I know I'll be stuck buying them because I want Paul Bearer haha

Bearer is a cross-generational manager, so he'll be a nice barometer for them.

If bearer dosent sell well, they will blame it on the BAF being a legend and will not give us anymore. Instead of realizing that the reason it (might) shelfwarm is because of the garbage figures You have to buy to build bearer in the set.

I'd like the JR, but man, this is one terrible set. Seriously? A new great updated Punk, brand new elite Curtis Axel, a great updated Del Rio in red. The only exception is Orton, but he comes with a MITB briefcase and a ladder.

Punk is kind of up in the air, but if how badly Barrett also warmed is any indication, that IC title isn't going to help Axel move.

But I am excited for them.

I still see the Ricardo BAF. Hopefully JR moves good so we get more legends in the BAF like Jimmy Hart.

This is the same crap we got from the mattycollector legends. They gave us a horrible selection to begin with, saved the most anticipated for last (Miss Elizabeth), and then cancelled it before it even finished because it didn't sell enough. Flashbacks are the only thing done right. Every other legends venture seems to be rife with poor judgement. To me it's starting to seem intentional. "Oh you want a legends manager BAF? Fine, we'll pack him with a bunch of repainted crap, and if he sells we'll make lots of profit, and if he doesn't we'll blame you all for not supporting the line."

Getting butthurt that the BOPPV basics are repaints is extremely silly. They always have been. It's not a conspiracy. It's especially silly to cry that the figures are Kofi, Bryan, Sandow and Ziggler. They could've been Cena, Lesnar, Del Rio and Sheamus.

This is the first basic legend BAF, so this Paul Bearer figure sets the precedent, not previous BAFs. How many cross-era BAFs have there been thus far? This is a classic 90s Bearer with modern guys. That hasn't been done before. They could've been Undertaker, Kane, Punk or a basic Mankind. SOMEone associated with him. SOMEone from the same era. Like "they always have been."

So essentially, you're crying because you don't even grasp the concept of a Best of PPV 2013 line. Personally, there's not a single figure in that set that I'd swap for another rerelease of the same basic Undertaker or Kane that we got a million times last year. And there was very little chance of CM Punk being in both the basic and elite BOPPV sets at the same time.

Well I guess you fail to grasp that Paul Bearer wasn't at any Pay-per-view in 2013, which again questions the logic of his placement with those figures.

Are they still shortpacking figures in the BAF series? I think that's the reason their are so many Sheamus, Cena's and Lesnar's warming at the only 2 TRU's within a hundred mile radius from me. How can you complete a BAF when you can't get all the peices because the cases are uneven? If it wasn't for the internet, I wouldn't have completed Johnny or Teddy Long.....
