The Taker figure behind the WM14 Shawn is hilarious if you've heard the story behind the match that night.

Amazing. Can't wait to get the WM30 fig. I'd really like Mattel to make a nice 92-93 era HBK w/ mullet scan, etc. Maybe in his black and silver attire like the Hasbro.

Very nice, bro but you're missing RR Heritage HBK tho :-( I know I sold it in a CHEAP ass lot on eBay because I didn't like the scan. Regretting the living hell out of that now.

The Taker figure behind the WM14 Shawn is hilarious if you've heard the story behind the match that night. Please share Shawn had issues with dropping the title to Austin and had to be "convinced" to do so. Of course this was when he was at his worst as a person and addict, so yeah. Here's Jim Cornette talking about Undertaker's participation in the deal: Taker himself talked about the night when he appeared on Off The Record in 2002, but Youtube seems to have deleted that clip, unfortunately.

So basically if Shawn tried anything sneaky Taker was gonna walk out there and shoot beat his ass into oblivion? That's amazing. Wasn't Shawn knowingly out the door anyway at that point because of his back? Why wouldn't he wanna drop the belt?

Found the taker clip. Very good interview. I LOLed at the end when he completely buried big show.

Yeah, the full interview is still on there but there was a shorter version with just the Shawn story. Great interview for sure and Taker is one of the few guys able to keep the annoying host from butting in every minute. Dunno the story behind why Shawn would not wanna drop the title despite being on the brink of retirement, but I believe he wanted to vacate the title again and "lose his smile" once more. I do wanna say that I am a huge, huge fan of HBK's work and understand, to a degree, why a guy his size might have been driven to be an a-hole like he was to ensure his success. That said, the Taker story is still badass to me. I wonder how many guys Taker has kept from stepping over the line throughout the years. Would love to hear a lengthy shoot interview conducted with the man someday.
