You think Curt Hennig chose who inducted him into the Hall of Fame? Vince's office has a ouija board, I guess. Lawler didn't want Shatner to induct him. WWE overruled Lawler because Shatner is an actual celebrity and because he and Lawler did a thing on Raw years ago. Hulk Hogan was in a Rocky movie and Stallone is an actual celebrity, that's why he was chosen. Yea I guess that one didn't make much sense Still..... Wwe knocked on warriors door, not the other way around. I say warrior will have some imput, likely not final say.

How many people in wrestling even like him? Punk, RVD, Fat Joe... Who else in on the "friend of Warrior" list these days?

Lawler had Shatner Hogan had Stallone Hennig had Wade Boggs I'd say they do have a choice who inducts them. Yeah, Lawler wanted Lance Russell. I wish he had gotten his way or that they would induct Russell and have Lawler put him in. But that doesn't mean guys have no say. Both the inductee and WWE discuss it and figure out what the best plan for both sides is. With Warrior, there's just not a lot of choices. Most guys who worked with him don't like him, and he depises Hogan with a burning passion. I just don't see Warrior agreeing for Hogan to do it. It'll be bad enough for them to be in the same building. Punk doesn't make a lot of sense on a professional level, but He's been one who has said Warrior should go in for a long time and is one of only two people Warrior has sent a tweet to (or was when he made the documentary). So there is a connection there. Along with Punk, Edge or Christian would be good as they have both credited Wrestlemania VI as when they decided to be wrestlers, and were just about the only guys to not badmouth him on the Self Destruction dvd. Regardless, I'm interested to see how it goes. Back on the real topic, it's a very nice interview, and it was neat seeing parts of his home. I wonder if he keeps cookies in the urn

Great interview. Punk seems like a pretty good dude, who has his moods like anyone else. The fact that the internet likes to label him a douchebag is hilarious.

How many people in wrestling even like him? Punk, RVD, Fat Joe... Who else in on the "friend of Warrior" list these days? I don't know what you are talking about...every interview that has been done with current roster guys and messages on twitter, have shown they are huge fans of his. It's actually hilarious that the guys that love the business enough to be in it are Warrior fans, but all of the smarmy internet smarks hate him. You are aware that Self Destruction dvd wasn't an accurate representation of the man or the character, no? WWE lost lawsuits over that one. Most of his friends from his era have passed (Owen Hart, Hennig, Bulldog, Savage, Rude, Bearer, Von Erich, Hercules, Andre, etc., etc.). Others that are still alive, aren't always on the greatest terms with WWE (Honky Tonk Man, Demolition, etc.). There are still plenty of possible choices ranging from Piper, Ventura, McMahon, Patterson, Undertaker (doesn't do this sort of thing, though), etc. I've surmised through a number of shoot interviews the guys that hate him are generally either jealous of his accomplishments or pissed at him because he wasn't drinking and doing coke with them after the matches. He wasn't 'one of the boys' and that rubbed a lot of the them the wrong way.

He wasn't 'one of the boys' and that rubbed a lot of the them the wrong way. Of course, but either way... That makes a very short list of people who might induct him into the Hall of Fame. As soon as they started emphasising Warrior as "THE MOST OUTSPOKEN SUPERSTAR EVER" on commentary etc, I started wondering if they were trying to draw a subtle link with today's "most outspoken superstar" CM Punk... The guy who, the night after the Hall of Fame, is fighting the company's COO.

RIP Million Dollar Man. Warrior is very lucky he's not among those prematurely dead people. He's admitted to using steroids until 1991. Also, getting out of the grind of the biz when he did (much to the chagrin of his fans) probably saved him some health problems as well.

On the other hand, he wasn't living the hard partying lifestyle of so many of the guys outside of the ring, which is what many succumbed to.

That seemed more awkward than Ricky Gervais interviewing Garry Shandling. Interesting nonetheless. It's not awkward at all. Punk and Ariel Helwani are buddies, they do these 30 minute interviews once a year in January.

I'd rather see Damien Demento induct the Warrior just to hear them both speak on the same night.

Maybe it's just me.

See the thing is to all those people that are like "Hogan should induct Warrior anyways instead of Punk" is that Warrior reeeeeeally dislikes Hogan and Hogan can't seem to say a single nice thing about Warrior. And at the end of the day I see Warrior being the kind of dude that if he doesn't like who is inducting him I imagine he just won't show up to the HOF ceremony...
