It different. But, How is it gonna translate to wrestling? So shaw stalks Cristi. What's the payoff in the ring? Is he gonna take his opponent, chop them up, put them in a garbage bag then reassemble them back at his house? Will they show all of this on video like they did with the room? Does TNA expect cristi, other wrestlers, or even the cops to stand by and let this creeper do all these things in braod daylight? I mean I'm all for suspending disbelief but it's gotta have some semblence of sensibility to it. So when it's all said and done what is Sam Shaw in the ring? A calculating wrestler that cuts though his opponents with the precision of a knife or a calculating nutjob that cuts up his opponents with a knife? I fear the road TNA will think is the most logical to go down. And what's it say about a company that lets a weirdo run around stalking it's employees, then does nothing about it...Oh wait, Joe was kidnapped by ninjas once

I LOVE IT!!! One of the best things going in TNA right now. I despised Shaw when he came to TNA and hoped he would not get a contract. What he is doing with this gimmick is a total 180 for me. I love it. Its original. Its interesting. Its compelling. They havent rushed it and I am intrigued.

It's very creepy, but also new and interesting at the same time.
I have no clue how Christy didn't see that video, or how kayfabe wise someone she knows didn't show it to her backstage.
Welcome back, Russo.

It's interesting, but I can't call myself a fan of the character/storyline. The moment where Shaw smelled Simon Diamond's shoe after attacking him kinda ruined him for me. Hopefully the character grows on me since it's not something we've seen a lot already in wrestling.

Never cared for him before but like Showstopper said the creepy gimmick has made me change that opinion entirely & now I'm intrigued by it. That segment was beyond weird! Love it.

I like it. When I'd seen it on TV, I was genuinely interested, and terrified at the same time. The way I see this paying off, and the only way it should is Sam Shaw being a complete and utter psycho in the ring, and at one point, holds Hemme hostage or something.

I like it a lot so far, it's the first genuinely creepy and unsettling wrestling storyline I've seen in a while.

One of the best storylines in TNA at the moment, I love it. I never understood why Jay Bradley won over Shaw. Jay Bradley can take his "boom stick" and shove it..., he was so boring.

It's very creepy, but also new and interesting at the same time. I have no clue how Christy didn't see that video, or how kayfabe wise someone she knows didn't show it to her backstage. Welcome back, Russo. You make it sound like that's the least logical thing in wrestling, and that such must be a creation of Russo. Guess Russo wrote the whole angle with Big Show being fired, yet showing up every week on Raw with his theme music and no security even attempting to keep him out of the building. Guess anyone, myself included, can show up on that show. As for the topic at hand, I think they are doing some kind of reverse angle. I say this because in his debut, Shaw kept staring at Christy, and Christy would just give back ice stares. Yet, in every promo, they are looking friendly. To answer the posted question, I think the promos of Christy and Sam dating are videos of what happened in the past, and backstage and matches are real time events.
