Yeah there was absolutely no point in him being called Mankind in 98-99.

Vince chose top retire Cactus Jack in April 1998 when the character as over as hell in favour of using Dude Love to draw in his past with Austin. now usually I would say I was against this?BUT the impact of jack returning to fight HHH at RR00 was insane. I marked like crazy when Foley took his mask and shirt off!!

I marked like crazy when Foley took his mask and shirt off!! I'm not a big Foley fan personally, but I much preferred his deranged Mankind to anything else he did. I really dislike his Mankind with the shirt/pants, if he'd have just been Foley then I probably would have liked him more. Then again he was always more interesting with a gimmick. So I guess he would have just been better off sticking with Cactus Jack right the way through. I still need to see the Cactus vs. HHH match. I only saw it once and that was when it happened 14 years ago!

Cactus Jack was always treated as a teaser in WWF.
He had that one match against HHH in '97 and then the short tag run with Terry Funk in '98.
He wouldn't appear again until No Way Out 2000.

Royal Rumble 2000 man....in that EPIC match. I also loved Backlash 2004 against Orton. that was a seriously great effort from Foley.

I was just thinking of the cell match for some reason... I hate to admit this but I've never seen his match with Orton.

Foley said on his 2nd shoot with RF that he was very impressed and pleased with this and how many tough spots Orton was willing to take.

I will finally watch on WWE Network later this month.
