He's good in Shield.
He could probably cut good promos with Wyatts but he doesn't have the size and intimidation factor of Wyatts.

Bo Dallas is as intimidating as a ham sandwich. No offense to the ham sandwich. A ham sandwich is pretty intimidating if you're a pig.

And here comes the most important opinion.
Ambrose shouldn't be in a stable. Period. He went from a homeless psycho to the security of the WWE Champion and the Authority. When Shield debuted my first thought was "Okay, so what kind of psycho will he be now?" I was pretty disappointed when he didn't even raise his voice in the promos they did. Calm talking? What the F is this crap?! It's now, a year after Shield's debut that he is starting to show signs of the Ambrose that in mine and many peoples opinions is the promo machine, the greatest on the mic going on currently. When they give him just a little bit freedom he'll make the "pipebomb" look like nothing. When WWE signed him it was because everyone was talking about this guy that was completely psycho and you couldn't tell if it was real or just acting. It was so good it was scary. He was just a skinny guy with a mastermind in promos. Now he is HUGE. His arms are 3 times as big as when they signed him. He has improved in a lot of ways but WWE is booking him in a way that makes many people forget that's Jon Moxley, the guy that cut one of the indies best promos ever. The "I'm just a sick guy" promo had people talking for years. That was his awful childhood and all built up frustration coming out and to this day I still see people on Twitter talking about it going "That is probably the best we'll ever see." In The Shield he's more "Oh it's Ambrose. He can talk." not "Ambrose got a mic!! Holy crap here we go!" Lets not forget, this is the Ambrose that William Regal did everything for so he would be called up, Punk wanted him on the main roster more than anything, Stone Cold called him "The next big thing in pro wrestling" Bret Hart did too. Everyone praised him when he was in his psycho FCW gimmick. Which was PG as not as psycho as Moxley but still so so good. He was never that good with Sami Callihan in their stable The Switchblade Conspiracy. Ambrose is not a tag team wrestler, and he's certainly not a stable guy. Ambrose is a loner and should be kept doing his thing. Not running around playing security. He worked his ass off going from a poor kid who had to do other peoples drug deals just so he wouldn't get beat up going home to one of the indies best and if WWE doesn't wanna use his full ability they are missing out big time. A Daniel Bryan-Psycho Ambrose feud would draw. Believe me. And if they let Ambrose go just a little over the edge it would even get main stream publicity. Believe me. Just like when Ambrose went over the edge with the Foley thing. If I remember right that ended up on TMZ with the line "WWE Rookie calls WWE Legend a murderer and wishes death upon his family"
Ambrose is as good as everyone else pretends to be, it's scary.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the shield and I LOVE Dean Ambrose to but I was thinking of something earlier after watching a few old Dean Ambrose promos for his indy days. Ambrose would have been a perfect fit for the Wyatt Family over Rowan. Should Ambrose have been put in the Wyatts over Rowan and should someone like Bo Dallas have been put in the shield instead? This is just a hypothetical question, do you wish Ambrose was in the Wyatts and not the shield? Rowan works, because he is a monster of a man & matches Harper's size...it makes Harper the athletic/gifted, smaller one of the group & that's unique Ambrose wouldn't be able to fit in with The Wyatt's because he isn't a monster physically, it would look silly Bo Dallas? Bo Dallas? No No No No No....that would be terrible

I'd only guess it's because of the height difference. But the shield needed him.

I think he's great in his character, a cunning..crafty..creepy..evil..manipulator role but the wyatts are better with intimidating size...if anyone other than a physical monster that huge was with Harper & Bray - I don't think it works

But I think if Rowan and Harper wasn't there, the team of Bray and Ambrose would be something really really cool.

Ambrose and Regal as a just a vicious, dirty, heel tag team would be greatness.

I can't fathom seeing Dean Ambrose as a member of The Wyatts. He doesn't scream that hillbilly cult look that Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan possess. To those who feel that Ambrose should be in a trio (a stable consists of four or more performers), placing him into The Shield was beneficial in the long run. Before The Shield made their debut, only Ambrose was a lock for the main roster, not Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Had Ambrose came in on his own, he would have been lost in the shuffle almost immediately. The notion The Shield has remained strong since their debut proves me correct. From the time FCW was re-branded as NXT tll The Shield's debut, they didn't know what to do with Ambrose. Another thing to note about The Shield is you have three guys who aren't even in their 30's yet are being positioned to be big stars. Unlike the Wyatts, the WWE struck gold with Ambrose, Rollins, and Reigns.

I am personally happy to see him still in the Shield, but I see where you are coming from mate.

Ambrose's shtick doesn't work as a follower. If anything, he should be a loner, but he's better off in the Shield.
