What are everyone's plans for Valentines day? What do you plan on getting your girlfriend/wife/boyfriend/husband/spouse? Im trying to get ideas. The other day we drove by a white castle and we saw a sign that said "reserve your valentines day white castle now". I looked it up, I guess White Castle provides you some kind of fancy service to go along with the food? Has anyone ever reserved dinner at White Castle? Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I think if I took my wife/girlfriend/potential girlfriend to a "reserved" dinner at a White Castle on Valentine's Day, I'd be leaving the White Castle alone. lol this is very true

Somehow, this seems sadder than the guy crying into his ice cream. I did not even know it was Friday. I only care for Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and my Birthday no Halloween? come on!!

A couple of years ago I looked into the White Castle VDay thing while I was still with my ex. We had several Vdays under our belts together already & she was never a fan of the holiday, so it was more so as a fun, change of pace joke. I guess they try making it as fancy as a fast food place could be with a candle light dinner, white table cloth, etc. I ultimately decided against it because I knew she didn't like White Castle. So I wasn't surprised by her reaction when I told her afterwards about it. She thought the idea was funny & would of been up for it had it been anywhere else.

Yeah at first I kinda giggled at the thought of taking a date to white castle. But then it just made me wonder what all you get if you did reserve at White Castle. I know they limit it to 1 reservation per store. a headache from all the nagging every year after...'remember the year you booked a reservation at a fast food joint?'

I took the wife to the coach store, let her pick out some stuff and paid.... I lucked out and the place was having 50% off all full price with an additional 10% off after that.. and 70% off all clearance.. so she was able to walk out with a load of stuff she loved and I didn't spend nearly what I thought I was going to . As for my gifts, she is pre-ordering me the next two TFC combiner transformers I want, but I have to wait till march when they are released...

See this makes me think, poor white castle is trying hard to be romantic. Yet many of us see it as a joke. I wonder if they wanted it to be viewed as a joke by all or if they really wanted to be seen as romantic.

It spun off of people doing it on their own, showing up at White Castle or McDonalds with tablecloths, candles, dressed in formal wear.

Normally, this is the time where I'd be really bummed about being single, but last year I got my girlfriend something she really wanted only to find out she was planning on breaking up with me anyway.

I just imagine that you own a restaurant. You provide people with food very fast for a low price. That restaurant is paying your bills, putting your kids through school, and putting food in you and your family's mouth. As that business owner, I wouldnt want to be seen as a joke. And then on the other side of that as a customer, if my financial situation is such that a fancy meal/night out constitutes of White Castle, I wouldnt want to be a joke either. I guess if it's all done in good fun it's ok but im not the type of person to joke about things like other's financial situtations.

I bought an iphone 5s for my wife so she's happy with that. We probably won't do any thing on 14th since it's so bust at any resturant so we will probably go out on Saturday. Finding a babysitter is going to be a challenge to watch our 1 and 3 year old girls.

Probably get the old lady flowers on Friday. I always make chocolate covered strawberries. We are both off work on Sunday so we will probably do dinner at The Melting Pot which is our favorite fondue restaurant and catch Robocop at the theater. After that, I fully expect to see some thigh highs and heels come out to play. If not, then I'm taking my ball and going home. Now would this be your lady wearing that, or you?? Cause either way, it would be very kinky and memorable! haha

Probably nothing, dunno yet. Got the day off from work.
We asked each other this at work today, the girl I like at work just said she was just working and sitting at home watching movies with hot chocolate, she doesn't think there's much point to valentines day (thinks why can't people be romantic everyday rather than just one day).
Whenever I think of Valentines Day, I always think of Love Day in The Simpsons.
