Good news. Figures and video games accounting for 18 percent of WWE revenue. WOW that is amazing. What I find so strange however is when I read Mattel's Quarterly reports on profits they never mention the WWE brand, only Barbie, Monster HIgh, Hot Wheels etc. yet the WWE line is the best selling line of figures? The brands that are usually mentioned in those meetings are all in-house brands - they own 100% of those properties. That is why they are mentioned. While WWE is successful for them, they do pay for the licensing. WWE is profitable for them, just not as much as the brands they own like Barbie & Hot Wheels.

Wait wait wait.
Why are they hyping two of the worst selling toys they have? Flexforce died. Brawling buddies will be dead soon. The reason the WWE Mattel figure line is the highest selling action figure brand out there is because of their elite basic and battle pack line. Period.

Hell yeah, well mattel would be stupid not to renew, especially with all the money Hulk figures will be bringing in.

Maybe this new deal includes a larger "budget" so they can stop with the plastic shirts. We deserve better than that crap

Maybe this new deal includes a larger "budget" Bigger budgets would only happen if the figures were getting a price increase on top of the standard annual inflation-related increase. And I don't want to be paying £25 for a normal elite.

Good news, but it's not surprising. Mattel seem like their getting way more money than Jakks ever did.

So hopefully we'll get an Elite Disco Inferno. I need competition for the Elite Fandango to dance against. Yeeaaaaa.... Also, I'm sure we'll get an Elite Hulk by the end of this year. Besides nWo version, the only one I'm hoping they make is the classic 80's red & yellow complete with CLOTH hulkamania shirt, winged championship belt and the American flag Elite Cesaro came with. Oh and of course, 'crow' Sting! Sorry I know these have been discussed but it's just exciting news!!
