The Shield doc was really good. Not quite as good as Bryan's, but still, excellent.
Really loved the first episode of the Monday Night War, though. That show is going to be fantastic.
Blows my mind that any die-hard wrestling fan would even think twice about just keeping the subscription on auto-renew.

I have a strong feeling that the 40,000 hours of content Triple H & Stephanie McMahon revealed a couple of weeks back is every single RAW & Nitro from 1995-2001. I could be right, I could be wrong.

I have all the episodes from 1999 of RAW so I'm watching those(Not via network). I just hope we get some more episodes soon! Can't wait for Nitro.

WWE issued the following press release to ProWrestling.net on Tuesday.
WWE Network will premiere episode two of the new WWE Network original series "The Monday Night War" - tonight - Tuesday, August 26, at 9/8C.
The "Monday Night War" is a 20-episode original series documenting the epic television ratings battle between sports entertainment icons Vince McMahon and Ted Turner. On Monday nights in the 1990s, Turner's World Championship Wrestling and McMahon's Monday Night Raw aired head-to-head in primetime, defining a power struggle that rewrote the rules of television, and forever changed the face of sports entertainment.
Bandit - WWE Network will "preview" or "premiere" episode three on Wednesday, August 27 - 4:00 pm ET-5:00 pm ET. There will be a "premiere" or "repeat" later that evening - 9:00 pm ET-10:00 pm ET. Episode Three - Vince McMahon leads a company-wide change in a direction that nets the company its greatest ratings to date.
If you want to watch all three episodes in a row via the "LIVE" stream on the WWE Network, they will be shown back to back to back on Friday, August 29 - 3:00 pm ET-6:00 pm ET, 8:00 pm ET-11:00 pm ET and 11:00 pm ET-2:00 am ET.
Looks like the plan is to show two episodes a week with the first one being shown on Tuesdays and the second one on Wednesdays. So if this is the case, the series will be over the first or second week of November.

I like that its 20 episodes. Don't like that they're seeming airing them at random days and times.

They said on the Monday Night War episode tonight that Hogan was against turning heel and joining Hall and Nash so Bischoff was going to go with Sting as the 3rd guy instead. Hogan changed his mind later and decided to do it. I wonder if the Crow Sting being black and white was going to be his NWO look and they just kept it for a new face look.
So if Hogan had gone ahead and agreed to turn heel and join Hall and Nash earlier Sting might never have become the Crow Sting.
Funny that Hall and Nash ended up with more money from WCW because of fake Razor and Diesel.

Funny that Hall and Nash ended up with more money from WCW because of fake Razor and Diesel. This is all stuff that we've known about for ages. So nothing surprised me. I don't think Crow sting would have led the NWO. I think it would have been surfer sting with a tweaked look and cocky attitude. He would have had to talk to get the angle over. I believe crow sting was developed simply because he realized the times were changing and he needed to switch things up and capitalized on The Crow and NWO's success.

I first posted this in the Monday Night Wars thread here but figured it might as well be posted here too.
The first episode of "Monday Night Wars" was shown on a Friday night during a special free preview week either in June or July. It was only shown once on the WWE Network and wasn't available via the on demand listings. So if you missed it "LIVE" - you were screwed although some people were able to capture/save the link and watch it at their own time.
If you missed the first episode - "The War Begins" or the second episode - "Rise Of The NWO" - you can access them at any time via the front page of the "Orginials" area. The third episode which premieres later today will be up there after the 4:00 pm ET. Or if you like watching them via the "LIVE" stream - you can watch all three of them in order on Friday at the times I listed in a previous post.
The show that aired last month after a Monday Night Raw ended turned out to be a "Beyond The Ring" special. I think the confusion here may be that it was promoted at one time as a look at the "Monday Night Wars" instead of a "Beyond The Ring" special. It consisted of segments from the two Best Of Monday Night Nitro DVDs/Blu-Rays. It was only on for an hour. You can access this on-demand via the "Beyond The Ring" section - located in the "Orginials" area.

Jonathan Karate, Sting needed a full overhaul. Tweaking the beach blond Sting was something you couldn't do. When Hulk Hogan was revealed as the third man, they overhauled him to a point they distanced Hogan from the red & yellow to the black & white. Which was something they needed to accomplish. Same situation with Sting. The whole crow persona was that overhaul Sting needed to blend in with WCW's edgy image. After watching the nWo Monday Night War episode made me wish the WWE did a full scale documentary on the nWo. I found it interesting they brought up the fake Razor and Diesel situation. I believe this is the first time the WWE acknowledged that. I am looking forward to watching those Nitro's from the Summer of 1996 again. I feel the Monday Night War series is tailor made for those who remember it. Not for those who weren't around to witness that period.

It's interesting that they're airing two episodes of Monday Night War a week. On one hand, it's a fantastic show, so I can't complain too much about getting to see it twice a week.
But, on the other hand, this was one their big selling points of the network and it seems a little hasty to blow it off in around ten weeks.
I think one of the things WWE is going to struggle with most is original content. There's only so many times you can make a countdown or relive a Wrestlemania main event. The Monday Night War thing encompasses over half a decade of history and sort of eliminates that content from being used elsewhere without it just being a rehash. I don't know, maybe I'm thinking too much inside the box.
That doesn't deter my interest in the Network at all, though. The Pay-Per-Views and VOD content is enough to keep my subscribing, of course.

Believe me I'm not saying surfer sting would have been all flashy and what not as the leader of the NWO. I still think he would have used more of a black and white look but the entire Crow persona would have been odd as the NWO leader. Crow sting was a secluded, emotionless, and speechless character. You needed a cocky arrogant leader and Crow Sting would not have worked in that position. He would have needed something completely different.

Everybody has to evolve some how. The way Sting transitioned to being a beach blond dude to the crow was done very well.

Anyone know when they are posting more RAWs or SDs from the Attitude Era? Haven't heard anything on any new Best of Raws and Smackdowns. Just the 1995 Raws and Nitros.

We should be very thankful Hogan made the right decision. Who knows where the business would be without him making that call.

I see they uploaded two more episodes of Monday Night War titled "The Rise of nWo" and "Embracing Attitude".
Does anybody know why there are two versions of the nWo episode? One says "modified version".
I don't get it.
