i'm watching the network right now and how Steve Austin went from Stunning to Stone Cold and how it worked.
More recently Husky Harris was changed to Bray Wyatt and it's great because he can work the mic...
What current wrestler needs something like this and could make it work?
i'm thinking Dolph Ziggler.. mainly though, because i'd like to see what he could do with a complete character change...

As much as I dont like Ryback, I feel like a Sycho Sid type gimmick would be great for him.
Fandango needs a change. His gimmick is just awful imo. Sandow and Ryder are toast to me.
Ziggler doesnt need a gimmick change, just a chance.

Then he becomes regular Johnny Curtis in trunks again, but I think he should still keep the Fandango theme if that were the case since I feel that it's "iconic" now. |

ZIggler didn't need a character change a year ago. He just needed WWE to commit to him like they did Sheamus the year before. He does need a new direction for his character now, but he's been Ziggler too long to pull a Bray Wyatt imo. Although, if he went nuts and cut an I'm Nic Nemeth and I'm tired of this sh*t type of deal, I would certainly be down.
I think Damian Sandow probably has the best shot from that list because he wasn't overly exposed. Although, I think Sandow is great, and would rather just see him pushed. He puts a lot of work into that character and it's unique to the current roster. He'd make a great IC Champion imo.
Ryback, Ziggler, and Sandow have all been repackaged already though after being on the main roster under different names.
I think Zack Ryder needs a major overhaul more than anyone on that list. Santino already has the comedy spot locked up and Ryder's character isn't conducive to being taken seriously. I don't know that I would change his name either though. Fans aren't stupid. There was a guy chanting Husky Harris at Bray just last night, and Bray Wyatt has been a big success so far imo. So I think it's better to just revamp gimmicks and not try and get one over on the audience by changing the entire character. Unless it's a guy like Mason Ryan who was really just pretty forgettable the first time around, which is similar to the Husky Harris situation.

Zigglers name is fine......how many times have we caught the crowd chanting we want Ziggler even when he's not out there......he just needs a chance, he hasn't even been able to wrestle on Raw lately for  s sake... |

Seriously I wanted to vote Ryder because I think he has the skills to do more than he currently is. But I had to vote Swagger. For the longest time I wasn't a big fan of his but lately he's won me over. And for some reason I see him benefiting greatly from a face turn.

The only person I can think of who desperately needs a different gimmick or new character is Kofi Kingston. He COULD go places but absolutely will not if he keeps the same character that has gotten him nowhere for the past 7 years.
Also, I'd take away the tweeting nonsense from Ryback and revert him to the ambulance era character.
