Sure, it's silly and crazy in the sense that it's overblown by the media and Pats haters. But the fact is that someone in the organization illegally deflated the balls and there has to be a punishment for it. All the Seattle guys who took Adderall? They got punished. I think it's lame that BB says he was unaware of such thing before the news spread. As the head coach, you should know what's going on within your organization, especially if it's something big like this. For him to say he didn't know is ignorant. Ignorance isn't an excuse. I know that because Goodell, himself, said that and Sean Payton paid the price for not knowing what's happening. It's going to be preposterous if no fines/suspensions are handed down by Goodell. Also for BB to say that he doesn't know the difference between properly inflated footballs and deflated ones? That's the biggest bullcrap. Are all of you guys actually telling me that the equipment manager just s around with the balls before consulting TOM BRADY? Are you guys THAT naive? Former QB's like Boomer and Brunell have come out and stated that the equipment managers only did what they told them to do regarding balls, equipment, and jerseys. So either BB/Brady is putting on an Oscar performance or the Pats' equipment manager is the stealthiest spy in the world. I'll take the former. Boy are you gunna catch crap from the patriots fan boys. You do have very very valid points though

IF they are guilty, they should be punished. Even if it's something small, illegal is illegal. If it's found that they're not guilty of any wrongdoing, the NFL, the media and the fans (me including) should apologize for creating a distraction before the game.

I hate the Seahawks.
However I think that what Lynch is doing is awesome and hilarious.
The NFL, and to a larger extent the sports media have such a stick up their ass it's ridiculous. Lynch is making a mockery of sports journalists? GOOD. Their job is a joke, and few are worth a damn at all. They ask the same questions to every player a million times, and they get the same canned answers back from almost all of the players. They are just praying one of them slips up and gives an actual answer so they can crucify them on ESPN until someone else does.
I hope more players start doing this.

And what pissed me off was that the NFL fined Lynch for his crotch grabbing celebration but then went on to sell a Seahawks memorabilia that included a picture of Lynch grabbing his crotch. The NFL and Goodell are hypocritical idiots.

Sounds like Lynch is going to get fined anyway.
Good job, Goodell. You're really racking down on the real problems with the NFL. Players not wearing team hats at interviews. **facepalm**

REALLY hoping The Eagles move up for Mariota, we need him. I don't know. He's talented, but I don't know if he can take hits from guys the size of your average NFL player. Look at what happened when Joey Bosa got to him. I like the Eagles a lot, so I want to see them succeed, but I just don't know if Mariota is the guy.

I mean at least he'll be going to a system he already knows well about. Mariota transitioning to a pro style is going to be a long process.

of course NOW the haters will say "oh well see it's just the NFL trying to cover up the Patriots and protect Kraft, etc" theres ALWAYS AN EXCUSE. instead of it being maybe conclusions were jumped to IMMEDIATELY, rather that letting the entire thing play out and all the info gets out. it's just "Patriots cheated! Take all their rings away! Fire everyone! Banish the team forever!" The media created this circus of time wasting. They loved it, the NFL loved the publicity. No wonder Brady, Kraft & Bill were so ing flustered, pissed off and flat out annoyed. I'd be too if everyone kept accusing ME of cheating when I did nothing that actually gave me an advantage in a game, and nothing that about a thousand other people have done. But no, Bill Nye said footballs cant deflate on their own. Patriots video taped the Jets 8 years ago. Patriots hardly ever fumble the ball. It's all the Patriots. They're the only ones, they tampered with Blount. Belichick called up Sean Payton and ordered him to start the bounties. Brady sold Michael Vick his dogs. Gronk was out with Ray Rice that night buying him & his wife drinks. Just blame everything on the Patriots. Then when you're proven wrong? Continue to find reasons to blame everything on the Patriots.

People hate winners.
The Pats have been the most successful team in the last 15 years. These people with there losing teams are looking to bail themselves out by making accusations and all kinds of excuses. Why do the Pats always win? How come they always make playoffs? How come there always in the AFC championship game? How come they always go to the Super Bowl? The answer is your team got outcoached and outplayed. End of story.
I was happier than a pig in crap to go to the afc championship game. Even more so now that it's gonna go down as hategate. Can't wait till September for the banner game.

Bettis has been elected to the NFL Hall of Fame. Really, really cool to see someone that I got to see play live for my team, and that I've met on various instances elected to Canton. Really happy.
