Props to the Pats on pulling that one out of their asses at the end, Edelman was ing Beast Mode Lite for a little while there, and Pete being da real MVP. Doesn't mean I have to like them. I don't. It's no secret. Can't stand Brady, but sh*t, he's one of the best in history. I didn't need to see another title to prove that. Credit is given where it's due, and it is by far due for them last night. Pats are the champs. Anyone who likes that? Fabulous. Anyone who doesn't? Well, that means your team either didn't win the Super Bowl, survive the playoffs, or didn't even make the playoffs. No need for Pats fans to get cocky, same thing I said about Seahawks fans last season and Packers, Giants, fellow Steelers, Saints and Colts fans alike in recent years. Sour grapes in the NFL beyond just not liking someone? Silly to me.

Aww man, no more Sapp's Dapp on Sunday Mornings to help me identify the most obvious "big impact" defensive players?
I guess I'll just have to use common sense all on my own to figure that one out.

Man what a game by the Pats. What a year for them. Brady setting a couple personal records, can now be debated being the GOAT. Along with the youngest team to win a SB. Major props to Sherman for going over to Brady and extending his hand. But what the Hawks did at the end of game was childish. Carroll always said he would win us a SB, thanks pete!
After I left CBS scene, I was shocked the ProShop was closed, hence it was open after I attended the AFC championship game. But I got my SB hat today. Looking forward to the parade on wednesday. Can't wait to attend the banner game on Thursday NFL kickoff. It's going to be a great off-season.

I still dont understand the hate for Tom Brady. First its "Well he cheats"...so last night you pull for the Seahawks, a team that has had a TON of players suspended for PEDs...That's cheating not deflating a ball. Then everyone says "Oh he's just an arrogant ass"....When has Tom Brady ever come on TV and said he was the best QB in the game? When has he ever drove down the field, scored and said "Thats what you get for challenging me with a sorry defense"....Never! Brady is confident and that can be taken as arrogance sure, but not once have I ever heard Brady pat himself on the back like members of the Seahawks do....Yet, people still wanted Seattle to win over Brady. If you're a Jets, Bills or Dolphins fans...Ok I understand not wanting the Pats to win, its a rival but just saying "I dont like Brady" and not having any legit reason just shows you're jealous he isnt on your team.
With that said, since the dispute over who the GOAT is. I still stand by Montana. I take nothing away from Brady but what Montana did he did in 4 games. 4 games without a loss. Brady did it in 6 games that included 2 losses. Its not a knock on Brady at all. If you want to list them as 1a and 1b thats fine...but Montana is still 1a!

IMO, Malcolm Butler's interception at the end zone will no doubt go as one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl. Which goes to show you that anybody could be a hero.

Isn't it crazy that if Lynch got that ball at the 1 and scored, Brady "lost his touch" or "Isn't what he used to be". But seeing they fudged up big time, Brady can now cement himself as one of the, if not the best ever. Not taking anything away from them last night, but if Seattle won, that is what would have come out of it.

My issues with Brady is that he has an air of arrogance around him, never that he was flat out arrogant. Has he ever said he's the best ever? Nah. Doesn't mean it's not written on his face that he believes it. Modesty is more than just biting your tongue, which I'll give Brady credit for doing, it's also believing what you're saying when you say you don't believe what the media hype says about you. Same statements I've made about my own QB since we drafted him back in 04. Don't like Brady, Rogers, Ben, Flacco etc but love guys like Peyton, Luck, Wilson (don't like the Seahawks as a whole but Wilson makes me want to root for him), Brees and so on.

You have to have a sense of arrogance to you to play in the NFL, especially the QB position. The key is not just flat out telling people you're the best. Ed "Too Tall" Jones came up to Joe Montana and said "You just beat Americas Team" and Joe looked at him and told him he can sit at home with the rest of America and watch him in the Super Bowl. Every good QB had something about them that's going to rub people the wrong way. Montana was an ass, Big Ben has all kinds or rape accusations, Bradshaw use to beat his wives, Namath was a womanizer and alcoholic, Marino was a sleeze ball who cheated on his wife and hid it...Nobody outside of Steve Young was perfect and Im sure even he has skeletons hidden somewhere.

Every player, like every person, has skeletons. No one can say otherwise. And just like skeletons, everyone has egos. It's just that guys like Brady, Ben et. all seem to have egos that are borderline "Really wanna shout and make sure everyone knows what I think of myself, but I better not to avoid the sh*tstorm that would follow." It shows when they're in front of a camera, win or loss with what comes off as false humility. Maybe it's every NFL player ever. Every person ever. Who knows? I'm sure Peyton Manning knows he's one of the best of all time. I'm sure Luck knows he's gonna have a fair chance (not saying he will, saying there's a fair chance) at smacking out more MVPs than Brady or Rogers in his career. I'm sure they both have nasty skeletons no one would want to hear about. No one's perfect. Difference is I don't think many people get the impression that that's the top thing on their mind: how great THEY are. That's my point of difference between the two sets.

Blah, not happy the Pats won but what're you gonna do. Gotta give them their credit; coming from 10 down, outscoring Seattle 14-0 in the 4th - as much as Seattle gave it away, New England had to take it.
Nothing else to really add that hasn't already been said regarding the interception but 10/10 you give it to Lynch in that situation especially with downs and the distance on your side. IF you want to pass in that situation, it's definitely not a quick slant to eat up clock like Carroll said was his intention - you roll out with Wilson and let him either run it in or throw it away. Either way you have 2 more downs to get into the end zone.
Anyway, onto the draft! Can't wait to see how the Jets blow the 6th overall pick.

I am sorry but disliking Brady because of the "sense of arrogance" is as foolish as hating him for being a cheater. People dislike him because they assume hes arrogant because of how handsome he is, his wife, his life etc. He never says anything close to being arrogant or obnoxious. Hes pretty friggin boring.
I dont think any of the Qb's are arrogant, none of them come off that way. Its usually the corners, and other backs.
You are either jealous of Brady and hate him because of that, considering what kinda life he has....hes the opposite of arrogance.
I was walking around with that face, those skills and those women in his life I would be the biggest dick ever. Dude was drafted to play baseball too!

I don't think Carroll said the pass play was to eat up clock. I thought he said it was to maximize the clock. If Lynch didn't score they would have needed to burn the last time out. And that would mean if they didn't get in on third down they might not get a fourth down play off. So seeing NE was in a goal line package and everyone watching was expecting a run they went with a quick slant that if incomplete they could run on third down and call their last time out and still have a chance to score on fourth down. Made sense to me. Just didn't work out which I was happy with because I'm an AFC guy and I dislike Sherman.

We’re going to leave them no time, and we had our plays to do it.
- Carroll They said it was a "waste" play, which is ridiculous when you're down in the Super Bowl with 20 seconds to go. You don't waste ANYTHING. You get your points and play defense after. They were so worried about leaving too much time for Brady that they forgot to score! If you're gonna pass, throw a fade because that's a low risk play that's also advantageous for the receiver. You don't throw it in the middle of the defense, because even if it wasn't picked by Butler, there's a good chance it would've been tipped up for another Pats player to intercept it. You also have Lynch. So if you're gonna pass, why don't you bootleg it? I guess all of NE besides the undrafted rookie thought that it was gonna be a pass. I'm not even a Hawks fan and I'm still angry about how it unfolded. What really pissed me off was that the OC Bevell had the nerve to throw Lockette under the bus. Also to add on, Brady is GOAT, and this is coming from a SD fan whose team got smacked by the Patriots during our LT years. The fact that Brady and BB have had success for this long with different players/personnel each season is incredible, really speaks of their longevity as a tandem. I also agree that Brady is arrogant but like someone mentioned, you need to have some kind of arrogance to be the best of all time. Babe had it, MJ had it, LeBron has it... etc.

Yeah, the OC cleared up what Carroll meant, which was the clock would stop if the play didn't work. Obviously, they weren't thinking interception as the kink in their plan. The Seahawks over reacted to the amount of time left on the clock imo.

This post goes out it all the people talking about how "great" and "elite" Tom Brady is He cheated to "win" four Superbowls, lost both times he got there without cheating. The winning plays of those four Superbowls were three field goals and an interception, all having nothing to do with Brady So tell me again how "great" and "elite" Tom Brady is 325 yards and 4 TD against the top defense in the league. 4 Wins in 6 Superbowls is a terrible record. He should be 6-0 instead of being tied with Montana and Bradshaw at 4. They beat the Colts by nearly 40 points, an extra PSI wouldn't have changed that. Pretty sure you need the QB to lead those last minute drives. He's a top 3 QB of all time, and I ing hate the guy.

Bc he's a whiny bitch. If he loses he always runs off the field without shaking hands with the opponent. Hate that. He always wants stuoid BS calls just because things don't go his way.. Call me whatever you want because I happen to be a jets fan but I know MANY other fans of teams that say the same thing. I can much respect manning for the way he carries himself
