Just read that the Houston Texans are interested in Matt Cassel.
Enjoy having the No. 1 Pick two years in a row, I guess.
Say what you will about his throwing motion or whatever statistics you want to measure, but it amazing me how QBs with a far less impressive record in wins and losses, let alone fourth quarter comebacks are time and time again signed to teams, only to fail and be released. Yet somehow Tebow, despite having a winning record as the starting QB and a playoff win, is pretty much exiled from the NFL.
I'm not debating wither Tebow is a good QB or not. Nor am I debating that there are Back Up QBs and even QBs in the upcoming draft class that are better QBs than Tebow. I am debating that there are certain QBs who are getting paying jobs with NFL Teams, that are no in any measurable way better at playing QB or winning NFL games than Tebow.
I mean, it's not like the Jags would have done any worse this season with Tebow over Gabbert.

Sean, the most interesting thing to me about QBs in the NFL right now? We had Weeden. We had Gabbert. We had Henne. We had Ponder. Some real turds playing in the big leagues, and Vince Young, although immature in his previous years, HAS A WINNING RECORD IN THE NFL, and is sitting at home. That's the type of stuff that blows my mind.
And while on the subject of the off season...here's what we need. 1. Some fresh offensive lineman to better protect Russell. 2. For Percy Harvin to live in a bubble until September. 3. We hafta resign Hauschka & Bennett. I'm not so concerned over the resigning of Tate. I like the guy, and he makes some really big plays, but I don't know if he's worth risking the cap space on.
The NFC West is going to be even more brutal this season than last. Cards looked strong, Rams are a few players away from making something of themselves, and the Niners are the Niners. It's going to be a hard-hitting year again this year, and I'm really excited to see what the offseason, Draft and pre-season presents for the Hawks.

What a fantastic day it is to get the news Holmes was cut How do you feel about Cromartie? Didn't want to double post but I'm also curious about Decker. I wonder if a team without Peyton Manning will give him big money and how much (if not all) of his success is due to Manning.

Hate them cutting cromartie but hopefully they will resign him cheaper. He was a pretty good corner but was hurt last year and it showed. Look how well he played when Revis went down.
I really don't like the idea of decker. The jets need a legit #1 and I just don't think it's him

Rumor has it the Steelers are going to release Lamarr Woodley. I never thought I would see the day that would happen. I get that Worlids is going to be, down the road, better than Woodley was a couple of years ago but it is just...weird.

Browns may go after Revis. Wow!
Could you imagine their secondary looking like Haden, Hitner, Revis?

So far, we've resigned Mike Bennett and Anthony McCoy....
I better see Hauschka on that list, or I am going to be over the moon pi$$ed.

Demarcus Ware is gone, a little surreal... can see him having a great season for whoever picks him up.

Bucs looking to trade or cut Revis. Would you want him back with the jets? Depends on the money. He's still a great corner and the Jets' secondary is one of their biggest weaknesses. I'd be all for him coming back if the money is right. A little surprised about Ware. He didn't really seem to fit in Dallas' new defensive scheme. Whoever lands him us going to be very happy.

Apparently Richard Sherman made a small gesture towards Demarcus Ware to try and get him interested in coming to Seattle. It wouldn't be a big deal, at all, but that would be surreal to see him as a Seahawks..

I like the Mike Mitchell signing. A bit too much money, but that sets our safeties up well for the next couple of years, Troy and Clark starting with Mitchell and Golden backing up/learning the ropes. Plus, that frees us up to draft elsewhere this year...namely OL and WR.

I'm happy with the Falcons efforts to need up the oline and dline. Not sexy signings but much needed.

I too am happy with what the Falcons have done today. Do have some questions/concerns.
If we are going to primarily a 3-4, who is rushing the passer @olb? We need a safety since we cut the no tackling excuse of one we had. They have all been signed now except Clemons from Miami who I like Still need another OL (RT) but I assume that will come in rds 1 or 2 in draft.
I know what Soliai brings to the table. T. Jackson is what he is. A good 3-4 DE. I don't know much about Asamoah, but he sounds solid though he did lose his starting job this season in KC. Regardless he has to be an upgrade.
Still mainly wondering where we are going with this defense. I know our Dline got better today. We just still don't have a proven rusher though these guys will help free others. Osi is useless in a 3-4. Still got the draft and some cap room to get better. Guess we continue to run this hybrid scheme.

BREAKING AQUIB TALIB SIGNS WITH..... DENVER BRONCOS
The team that took him out purposefully in the AFC title game gets him. First the Broncos steal Welker and Now Talib.
