So I'm 20 and I've only just got braces fitted last Thursday. My teeth were crooked only slightly with a twisted tooth (sounds not that bad lol) so I ended up getting clear ones fitted; shame they get stained easier. These are hard to get use too. Anyone here have braces?
I'm having major hard time eating so I have just been eating/drinking noodles, meal milkshakes and water for the last few days and especially the noodles that get stuck in your brace. Already had one of my brackets fall off when I attempted to eat but the pain is unbearable. Anyone had this problem too and anyway to overcome this pain?

I never wore braces, but my brother did for nearly 10 years (his teeth were bad and he refused to wear his headgear at night). Any time braces are fresh (either new or just readjusted), it's going to hurt, but the pain goes away. You've just got to wait it out while both you and your braces adjust to their new arrangement. Some things will still be on the difficult side, though, like steak or anything rather tough. It's not really a pain thing so much as difficulty, though.

I actually just got my braces taken off. My teeth were so messed up and when I put them on I couldn't eat anything but Jello for two or three days. Not to mention, it felt like they were cutting the inside of my mouth like a cheese grater. Honestly, only way to overcome it, is to toughen up and deal with it. Or Advil I suppose.

I guess mine hasn't fully broke into my mouth should I say. It's so painful to bite down and it feels like my brace is going to break ever since the bracket came off on the first day I got it.

I'm probably in the minority but i had braces for two years and they were never the least bit painful. I actually ate a burger the same day i got them and continued eating my regular diet which included lots of hard foods such as chips, meats, fruits and vegetables. Only once did a bracket come off and that was easily fixed with no problems. I do have a problem regularly wearing my retainers though..i usually forget to but when i do they go back in easily.

I have one kinda messed up tooth from wrestling practice in 7th grade from a misplaced crossface, but it's not even really see able unless you look right inside my mouth, which would be creepy.
Dentists are creepy people. I once went to this guy, Dr. Isaac Yankem, and holy crap. He decided he wanted to pull all my teeth. I decided to run for it.

I have them on right now actually and they hurt, because they just tighten them yesterday but it's nothing I can't deal with though. I've had my braces on for almost 2 years now and the first week I got them I was still able to eat as much as I wanted it just a bit difficult to chew though. The good thing is my teeth are pretty straight, because my teeth were really messed up. I also broke my brackets a few times, because I wasn't eating carefully it happens though.

I have them and they suck. The only time they hurt is a day after they get tightened. Its hard to eat anything without pain that day. I just cant wait to get them off. I am tired of paying $25 each time a bracket falls off.

I have invisalign as well. I prefer them over traditional braces. Mines were/are extremely overcrowded. The ones on top are pretty much straight now, just a few more trays and I'm done, however the ones on the bottom don't seem to want to move I only need 8 more and the ones on the bottom seem the same to me. So i figured I'm going to need more trays or if my jaw is "deformed". Every time I change my trays my teeth hurt for 2-3 days. At first I thought My teeth would hurt all the time but they just hurt for a few minutes if I'm eating something crunchy. The only thing i don't like is that they stain easily. I drink A LOT of coffee which makes it worst.

I had upper and lower braces when I was younger. Plus some weird ass device in the roof of my mouth that was suppose to spread my jaw line. I never had any problems eating though.

I've had them for a few days now and they have not stained yet but I'm avoiding them foods like spaghetti bolognese sauce and that. Shame as I need a curry
