Will somebody post the Steiner "HE'S FAT" gif or video if not already?
I don't know anything about Steen. I know ROH is a shell of its former self and he's the face of it. He doesn't have the WWE "look" and probably won't succeed but I wish him the best of luck.

As long as his weight isn't an issue I dont see how this wouldn't work.
I personally dont see any problems in having bigger guys working in the WWE as long as they're safe in the ring and can keep up with the schedule what's the issue.

I must admit I've never seen a Kevin Steen match.
I've heard the name thrown around for a few years now but have never seen him in action.

Youtube him, however to me his recent ROH and PWG stuff has been a shell of his former Steenerico/Singles stuff.
If he comes in and does the fisherman brainbuster or a package powerbomb or hell even the 450 splash then I think he would be fine but he isn't going to debut with the package piledriver, F5 or sharpshooter or even the stunner which he has been using in PWG.
Let him do his cannonball in the corner and his powerbomb on the apron but I'm a huge Steen fan and I know that he is better off in PWG/ROH or even TNA.

I would love for him to be signed, he's one of my favorite indie talent on the market but I just can't see him getting signed because of the shape he's in and nothing abou1t his character says "WWE" to me... at all. He would be a better fit in TNA or to just say in ROH imo. Hopefully i'm wrong though.

Bit of a spot fest but it's one of the few matches I've seen of his. And to the guy who says look is all that matters, you're view is what's wrong now a days. It's not 1980 anymore, Vince, Hunter and people who view like that need to realize just because someone is ripped doesn't mean they draw/sell/get over. DB, Punk, Ziggler, Sandow all got over and none of them look like Hulk Hogan. And if Vince and Trips would realize that, they could have a ton of stars instead of part timers, DB and Cena.

It's gonna end up the same as Chris Hero. They'll want him to get in shape, he'll refuse and be released. He would be a good addition but I agree with you that it probably won't end well.

Bryan, Punk, Ziggler, and Sandow all look athletic and are all in great shape. Steen looks like someone who sits on Youtube screaming about how much Cena sucks. You don't have to be a body builder, but atleast look like you give a **** about how you look.

Samoa Joe is a fat guy but he at least looks athletic. Kevin Steen has a ing gut (although it's not as big of a gut as it was a couple of months ago) and doesn't look like he takes any pride whatsoever in his appearance. HUGE difference. EDIT: Also, "It's not 1980 anymore" is laughable. The roster then had guys like Adrian Adonis who didn't look anything like a bodybuilder. Vince's obsession with super ripped guys took flight during the national expansion.

When Steen first started wrestling he looked like a ing tank. Then he just gained alot of weight, and that's bad.

Hope he gets signed along with Elgin and Roddy. But seriously why aren't they giving Adam Cole a tryout yet? Cole had a tryout last year he said he was WWE bound but nothing happened Exactly. I posted about that a few days ago. There were rumors he and Callihan were signed together but nothing happened with Cole. He even told fans at a CZW show around mania 29 he was WWE bound. And yet nothing......

Thing is,comparisons to Wyatt and Mark Henry have no place in this thread because, as we all know, in ALL areas of entertainment (acting, talk show hosts, comedy and wrestling) you either have to be BIG or in shape, anywhere in between is no good.
Henry and Wyatt are in that BIG category, just like singers like Adele or actors like Kevin James/Melissa McCarthy or someone like Oprah Winfrey. Their weight is part of their appeal because they've passed through the point that people would look at them and say "They need to work out" and into the "Wouldn't you just love a cuddle from Kevin James?" arena. Whereas someone like Jack Black or Seth Rogan or Queen Latifah is fat or noticeably out of shape because they aren't fat enough to get away with it.
Kevin Steen looks out of shape; Henry, Wyatt, Big Show, Samoa Joe, Brodus Clay, Jason Albert/Albert/A-Train/Tensai and Brodus Clay look like you would not want to upset them because you would get your arse handed to you if they wanted to hurt you. Kevin Steen looks like he's just come out of his bedroom for the fist time in days because he's been playing X-Box and lost track of the time.

Chris Hero WAS in shape. Not WWE ripped shape, but far from fat. Steen is ing fat. How in the hell is he gonna make it? I dont care how good he is. He doesnt fit the WWE mold....at all. WWE prefers "F***ing fat" over "not ripped, but far from fat".

In wrestling, if you're going to be fat, you need to be really fat. Not in between like Ohno was. Steen looks like it would be fine depending on his gimmick, which I have no idea what is.

Notes From Recent WWE Tryout Camp
Roderick Strong was described as the standout of the most recent tryout camp, with his physical and speaking abilities. Kevin Steen was also described as standing out for being in better shape. Other names in the camp included ACH, Michael Elgin, Rocky Romero, Willie Mack, and Arya Daivari, the brother of former WWE wrestler Shawn Daivari.
