I hope a rattlesnake bites Papelbon square in the nuts. Seriously, could be 3-0 right now, but the ing bullpen screws the pooch. Nice job assembling this amazing bullpen Ruin Tomorrow Sooner, nice job.

despite the loss, Kuroda pitched nice last night. thats all i cared about....we're 2 games in, no reason to smash the panic button 500,000 times.
people are forgetting this is almost an entirely new offense. i don't particularly like the batting order Girardi is going with right now, but no sense in changing yet. if after the first week things are still shaky it's time to move it around.

Damn, Belt went yard again. Is he finally going to have his breakout year? I hope so, the Giants are probably gonna need it.

Back to .500, and Roberto Hernandez didn't look completely terrible. Really hoping we can take this series with Chicago. Thank Jebus that J-Roll is returning tomorrow, need to get Nix the out of the lineup.

Tanaka gives up a bomb to Melky in his first start, leadoff. Good start. And at the end of the day, 7 innings, 3 runs, 6 hits, 8 K's. Really not any reason to blow the first AB of his MLB career out of proportion.

Really not any reason to blow the first AB of his MLB career out of proportion. Oh no, I wasn't trying to blow anything out of proportion, I was just making a sarcastic remark about it. In the end he had a nice quality start, which is what the Yankees need if they're going to go anywhere this year. Today the Red Sox got beat by the Brewers...ugh. I only caught a few innings, as I left to go somewhere just after Middlebrooks hit his homer. Was disappointed when I saw the final score. No big deal this early, though.

Tanaka looked great. Gave up 2 earned runs, 0 walks, 8Ks in his MLB debut. Looked nervous in the first couple of innings but he settled down nicely.
Teixeira is made out of glass, hopefully he's only out a few weeks.

Teix makes me a little worried, but I wonder if Kelly can play first... he did pretty well in the small amount of exposure tonight.

I loved the lineup Joe put out last night. I'm sorry Jeter but you have no place batting 2nd. Ellsbury/Gardner 1-2 has potential to cause HAVOC for a picture. Ellsbury is so good, and he's going to push Gardner to be better.
At this point you need to ride the hot hand so Soriano should sit, Beltran should be the DH for now while Ichiro stays in the field. At least regularly...(not every game)...until Ichiro cools off. With Solarte, I'm fine with him playing 3B...and his bat is on fire right now. Kelly Johnson is a pro he'll figure out 1B well enough.
