It's been a rough 3 months. He lived to be 10yrs old which was great, as the vet said he wouldn't live to be an old dog due to his breed. He was a basset hound, pug mix.

I hate to even think about when that day comes...Eight Below (or any other dog movie) makes me lose it as it is --- I'm gonna be a wreck & prob not get another cuz I'm invested in one that's 6-7 and another that's 3, so it won't really be that far apart where I have to go through it twice; plus, parents whenever that happens (not soon, knock on wood) --- it's gonna suck

First a horse that we'd had since I was 5 had to be put down (he was about 16 when he had to be put down), then my dog went about 6 weeks later (I'd had him for 13 years), then a foal had to be put down who was only 2 years old. All of this was in the span from August to January. My grandfather then died in March, and October that year a horse I was really close to who was only 2 months younger than me had to be put down too .

ya, tell her they look cute at first, but they dont act cute after a while, and they are more headache than good My Morkie constantly needs attention so I know exactly where your coming from one thing about yorkie's I've noticed, is that they live pretty long actually for smaller dogs, but they will lose their teeth as a senior --- my last ex & then someone else I know with one had yorkie's that would lose their teeth & have the tongue drooping out the side of their mouth at all times (going to soft food obviously after that).....sadly, I'd imagine some owners think that's too much trouble & get rid of them **lol all dogs are different with wanting attention, it's kinda hilarious when they demand it my boston that I share with my dad, refuses to let him read anything when he's sitting on a couch...he whimpers until he'll stop we had a different aussie growing up that enjoyed attention but was independent, mine now will whimper a bit if I even close the door to the bathroom

As long as someone is by her, she can easily sleep 8 hours during the day. She gets plenty of rest. But that attention gets annoying

Super cute and I missed this picture when I first read this thread or I'd have liked it sooner! Connor looks like my brother's cat Aries! Thanks connor is the one who loves me. Every time I sit down he comes running from where ever he is and curls up on my chest and neck and just purs away. He would stay there all day if I would sit there lol. OMG that is exactly how Aries is! He is always cuddling with my brother and purrs on him. He even tries to 'nurse' on him..

Sounds like an awesome cat. I know I love connor and will be lost when he is no longer with me.

This is my cat, Wiskers (spelling mistake and all)... She's 17 years old, stubborn, and not always particularly friendly, but she's taken a special liking to me in recent years and I'll certainly miss her when she's gone. She doesn't always have her tongue out like that, but I think it's hilarious and try to take a picture when she does.
