Beat the main campaign today. What a story! Although, I'm not convinced it was the best game of last gen (I really feel like GTAV or Bioshock Infinite were just as amazing if not more), it's totally in the top ten, maybe five. Have to play Left Behind and going to also start Factions

I'm playing through on Normal Plus right now picking up all the items and the firefly pendants. I should have done this the first time through but I knew I would have to play it again anyway to max out Joel and the weapons, which I've already done and I just got to the University. I forgot about the optional conversations being a trophy though, as I never actually completed that on PS3. So I'll likely be playing through it a third time after I get done with this play through. I know I already missed some of the conversations but hopefully I didn't miss anything beyond those so far.
I don't do any of the Factions stuff, just not my cup of tea, so I'll likely be done with the game for awhile once I finish through the campaign trophies. Kind of the drawback of having beaten it so many times before on PS3 is that the replay value is lower, even though it's a better version of the game.

I'm in love with this game. Just so stunning.
Survivors (online mode) is so fun.
This may be one of my top games ever for the playstation let alone PS4.
I'm just mesmerised.

Oh man, just a reminder on the deer hunting level with Ellie, make sure you look at every item in her book bag. Specifically, make sure you read and also flip over her mother's note.

Finished the main story today. Amazing. I enjoyed it so much more the second time around on PS4.
Going to start the Left Behind story later this week.

So I'm pretty much done with all the story mode trophies. I got all the FF pendants, listened to Ellie tell all the jokes, got all the artifacts and collectibles, comics, the Scavenger trophy for getting everything, did all the convos, upgraded everything, and then the normal and normal plus completions. So the only thing I can do on the Last of Us is beat it on Survival and then Survival Plus, knocking at the Hard difficulty trophy along the way. I'm going to start playing for the trophies on Left Behind instead. Seems like a more entertaining endeavor at this point.

I thought I scavaged pretty good but still somehow missed a ton of sh*t during my last play through.

You honestly just have to go online and look wherever everything is at imo, especially the FF pendants because they hang from trees. I pretty much remember most everything because I've played it so many times but even I forgot the sh*t in Ellie's backpack. Frank's note to Bill is pretty obnoxious because you have to give it to him, let him throw it on the ground, and then pick it up again. So it's stuff like that that will drive you bat-sh*t crazy. I usually don't care about trophies in games but this game is just the exception to that rule for me. I figure if I'm going to play it over-and-over again that I might as well collect everything.

I never do trophies either but I also wanna do them for this game. The only other times I've done this is Arkham Asylum and Tomb Raider.

Before you push the truck out of the garage, just go over to Bill and hit triangle. He'll read the note, get pissed, and then throw it on the ground. Then you just pick it up again. You can also go to the drivers side of the truck and have an option conversation with Ellie. There are like 38 optional conversations. You have to plan ahead on those because they are in some strange places and they are really easy to miss just moving through the game.

This is going to be tough to get every trophy. Can someone help me but keep it spoiler free haha, how do you do Ellie's joke things? Listening to all of Ellie's jokes is a hidden trophy. I think it's called "All I've Got" or something along those lines. Most of the jokes take place in Pittsburgh. You essentially need to stand around in the designated areas for long enough for Ellie to take out her book, you have to hit triangle when she does this so that she'll tell the jokes all the way through to the end. You'll see the triangle image pop up over her head, indicating that she's about to tell jokes. Pittsburgh Joke AreasThe first area is right in front of the bus you hop over to get to the quarantine checkpoint in Pittsburgh. The bus that has the 3 hunters jump over and then stand in the middle of the area until they walk past you towards where you originally crashed the truck and started the level. Once they walk away or yo kill all 3 of them, just go stand next to the bus and wait. The next area is the second floor of the book store. After you kill everyone on the first and second floor, stand around on the second floor and Ellie will get restless and take out the book again. I usually wait near where you come up the stairs. There is a mattress on the ground. The third area takes place right in the area where you come up on the two hunters crossing the board into the hotel lobby, in the flooded street. If you move to the back of this area, so away from the hotel, you'll see a poster of a skinny model hanging on the wall. You can take part in some optional dialogue with Ellie right in front of the poster but once you do that don't leave the area. Ellie will walk around in a circle and then take out her joke book. The fourth joke area takes place inside the hotel. When you enter the hotel lobby you have to lean a ladder against the wall to get to the second floor. Once you get up the ladder, just stand there and wait for Ellie to take out her book. You might have to open the safe on the first floor before she'll tell jokes. If you do, just go right when you get up the ladder and across the broken area to get to the suitcase with the note sitting in it. That note has the safe combination on it. Go down to the first floor behind the checkin area and open the safe. Then go back up the ladder and wait. Suburbs Joke AreaYou have to hit most of the optional conversations in this area to get this joke to occur. When the area starts, just walk straight forward to the farthest house you can see. Stop in front of the "WILL SHOOT ON SIGHT" or whatever the writing is on the side of the house. Henry will start talking about looting so just hit triangle and agree with him. From that spot, turn around and walk into the open house directly behind you, it will be a kitchen, and Henry will talk about BBQs from when he was a kid. Then you need to stop in front of the ice cream truck and confirm with Ellie that there was such a thing as ice cream trucks, so just hit triangle when prompted. After that interaction, run to the very end of the street and to your left. You'll see a Firefly logo painted on the side of a wall. Henry will talk about it and then Ellie will come over with Sam and start telling jokes. This part really isn't hard at all. The 4 steps are simple and all right in the same area

Finished regular story and Left Behind DLC. I was tinkering around with multiplayer but might go back to the main story for new game plus and collect everything I missed.

I can't get into the online stuff. I did Halo 2 in undergrad when that whole thing was popular but I've never really been an online multiplayer type of guy. I prefer single player story mode all day over that kind of thing.
