I have a couple Warrior figures, but one I regret not keeping was the Legends series 4 figure with the IC Belt. Now of course with his passing, I regret it even more because I cannot afford to shell out the ton of cash people are getting for them on Ebay. I know it was a popular figure to begin with, but is it possible if I wait a while, this too will pass? I just don't remember the same craziness after Savage died, so I have nothing to gauge it on. But I would love to eventually be able to AFFORD that figure!

Man, I hope so. I bought a ton of those legends figures when they first came out, and for some stupid reason along the way, I sold them off! Warrior, Demolition, Mr Perfect. I could kick myself!!

ya, for the most part sales will decline. but you will always have the certain ones who keep jacking them up because they think a figure of someone who is not alive is always worth more than when they were alive

Well im glad i kept all my warrior figures with this news. Im not sure they will decline, they are obviously in hot demand at the moment and while that may drop they could still be rare figures because no one will want to part with them.

I'm currently looking at the Classic Jakks Warrior figures on eBay and I'm not seeing any high jacked up prices like you guys are mentioning. The highest I'm seeing them go on listing is no more than $30 bucks and they're MOC.

How affordable do you want the figure to be? Considering its an older legends figure, along with his untimely passing, you can expect the figure to soar in value. I'm glad I kept a few extra of his Defining Moments figure to invest in my collection.

j is right, the Legends WM VI figure is one of the most expensive right now, followed by the Legends 4 with the IC belt. Some are going for over $100 and then some. If I could find a Legends 4 for $40 - 50 when this all dies down, I'd be happy. I regret never buying the DM figure when I had the chance. I always thought I would see it on clearance or at Big Lots for cheaper. No such luck!

It will ease up, timing of it is anyone's guess. Warrior has always been a very popular figure to collect, and there is a chance this will result in a push in prices over the long haul. It's not going to stay at the prices u see now, but the prices of a month ago before he passed may be gone for good as well. As to your question, hey will reduce. I just don't know if they will reduce to "normal" levels.

I'd imagine they come down in price a bit, but I have a feeling the DM, Legends 4, and Legends 6 will forever be at a higher price.

Yes they will. I remember right before the passing of Owen Hart they released a Blue Blazer figure that I couldn't get my hands on, then Owen passed away and I went to ebay to find it and I believe at the time I found one for I believe 50 dollars. Being a huge Owen Hart fan it didn't bother me that I spend that type of money. I would say maybe a year later I went back to see how much they were going for, I found ones has cheap as 10 dollars. It is how it works. I have a family member who is big into painting and they tell me the worst time to buy a painting or anything in that matter is a month or two after the person passes away. Prices jump and not that I will ever be selling my figures but you would never get the money back you bought it for.

I think so. His Elite 26 one wasnt selling out before he died and would be still readily available but now everyone is buying them up. I think we will get another Warrior soon as well.

His magazine covers and Wrestling Buddies are back to normal already. I'm sure his figures will soon follow.

Honestly, if you were watching ebay, the prices already started to drop a little around Saturday-Sunday, but when they did the tribute on Monday, everything jumped again. Just be patient. People will lose interest and move onto something else. Also, the people who are irrational will buy what they need during this period and then be satisfied. The Mattel stuff isn't that rare. All of the Warrior figures were pretty easy to be had at the time of their release.
I paid $10 for a couple of those L4 Warriors when they first hit at Kmart. Not sure if people remember that whole situation where you could just tell Kmart how much they were when they first hit haha. I ended up selling them both and keeping the belts, as Warrior has had much better attires since, but people are just taking advantage of the situation right now with these prices. If Mattel releases another World Title style Warrior, so RR91 for instance, I think the price on that L6 figure is going to drop considerably. People are just in a frenzy right now trying to grab Warrior merchandise. It's Warrior week too on the Network, so he's really at the forefront of wrestling at the moment.
We saw the exact same thing happen with Macho Man and that situation leveled out pretty quickly, and definitely over time.
