So I ordered a Bret Hart WM 30 elite, which is an awesome looking figure. Then in looking closely I notice his left boot is on backwards. Does being an error figure make it any more collectible? I'm brand new to collecting figures.

I dont think it makes it worth more no. You need to take that back and get another one.

Not really. Perhaps less valuable, if you're talking MOC. A loose collector would just fix it.

Errors typically don't make figures more of a collectible, but I see sellers trying to add value on errors all the time so it's not a bad pitch to have if you end up deciding to sell it. I think RSC sells carded errors (like if its a basic Kane in a basic Ryback carding box for example) at greater value too, but don't quote me on that.

Trust me. List it on the bay for a $100 and I'm sure it'll sell fast

Heck no, an error like that makes the figure more worthless. A factory error like that is my worst nightmare, almost as bad as Shawn Michaels with two left feet and no stomach hair.

I thought this post was going to reference the fact that he's got elbow pads on the box art (and in real life) but the figure has none....
I added some to mine, looks much better.

I think it would be worth the same to a loose collector since it is a simple hot water/cold water fix. Certainly not worth more or less.
To a MOC collector, however, it would be visually unappealing. It would be like selling one with a giant scratch of paint missing from the singlet and calling that an error, since technically it is something outside the norm and was caused by manufacturing.

It would be worth more since this figure details the beginning of Bret Hart's heel turn? Get it? His foot is turned? Heel turn? Huh? Yeah? *rimshot*
