The TNA announcement that Kurt Angle underwent ACL surgery is indeed true. Angle quietly had surgery several days ago after working house shows for TNA this past weekend.
The word we are hearing is that Angle will be out of action for several months. Obviously, that's not good news for TNA as he'll be out for at least a good portion of the summer. Angle's current TNA deal is up this Fall.

Does anyone else at least feel like maybe this is Kurt's way of trying to get back into decent shape to at least have one last run in WWE, even if its a short one. In the past Kurt worked through injuries in TNA, this is one of the only times I can recall where hes been out for a lengthy amount of time, ironically until about the same time that his contract is up with TNA. Coincidence? or is do you think Kurt is preparing for one final run in WWE?

At this point I think Angle's body is made of paper mache. So I would be very surprised if he could pass a WWE physical. That being said, I hope I'm wrong and we get a year or two from him before he hangs em up for good.

If Kurt wants to wrestle he'll stay in TNA because there is no way he is passing the physical test for WWE. If RVD can pass it I'm sure Kurt Angle can well maybe it depends on how bad of shape he's in. |

I'd like to see him as an agent in WWE, there's no way he'd pass a physical..OR drug test.

If RVD can pass it I'm sure Kurt Angle can well maybe it depends on how bad of shape he's in. Kurt had to use a wheelchair when over in the UK.  I don't think he'll pass it. RVD isn't broken down like Kurt is either. |

Every month this topic comes up and every time my answer is the same, Kurt Angle might sign some sort of "Legends Contract" in the future but he will NEVER EVER wrestle in WWE again. If Edge didn't pass the physical...there is NO way in hell Kurt Angle will pass it. We need to accept this and move on. Im sorry. |

Yes indeed. In fact there is absolutely NO comparison between the two......Angles neck was so bad in 2006 he stopped wearing laced wrestling boots. Why? it was f*cking him up lacing them and tying them......Angle must be an absolute wreck and although I would LOVE to see Angle vs Bryan? Im not banking on it. |

Wait, he's legit hurt!?  . I was gonna take the trip to New York this summer to see the TNA tapings, but I don't know if I will still go if Kurt's not there. And like other's said, he can't pass the physical test for WWE. |

The only difference between RVD 10 years ago and RVD now is the gut, he is sloppier, and he is significantly slower. RVD also hasn't had a major injury since 2004. Angle is getting hurt left and right, his physique has vastly deteriorated, he is much weaker, he is much sloppier, and he is much slower. |
