So I enjoyed this show a lot more than I thought I would truthfully. I thought with the showing that we had and the slightly odd booking this came out well.
When I first read the Malakai promo when he hands the title to Dex, my first thoughts were that people would take issue since he didn't earn it in a match. But then after reading Drakz's wonderful promo, and if that is the route this goes, then he will indeed either prove he is there against Drakz or get knocked down. Either way, that will be a great proving ground to see if he is ready so I ended up liking the idea. Before anyone thinks bias though, I would feel the same way if it was a Reverend Shadow or someone else of that caliber. I think it is good for it to be against someone who is already established so Dex can start on a good foundation.
As far as match writing goes, I simply don't have time to write my matches. I have never felt it should be shouldered on the people in the matches to write the matches themselves. I remember writing about half the card with Drakz doing roughly the same, with Obo throwing in a match or two. I get that things aren't like that now and I will take the sh~tty matches if it means it is being held up on a match that I am not going to write.

I get that things aren't like that now and I will take the sh~tty matches if it means it is being held up on a match that I am not going to write. Yeah Drakz did a wonderful job with his promo. It sort of forced me to "play from behind" in a sense so that I could challenge myself to make what I had fit into what I knew he was going to say later in the show. I know everyone who knew about it ahead of time thought the Dex idea was outlandish, and admittedly I know he is no EBR, he knows that, but the good thing is that's the guys goal, to try to become that good. Same goes for Garrett (and while not involved with this storyline, DK **thumbs up**). I am excited to see that Drakz, Trace and Ace were so willing to work with these up and comers. I made a huge mistake by disregarding Valorie Evans a few years ago, and I was determined to not let that happen again. So when I saw Drakz's promo I was blown away. He managed to take what I was going to do just before him and make great sense of it AND push his own Drakz agenda at the same time. This is gonna be real fun to see how it plays out in the long run RP and promo wise. And as for the matches again, yeah I see your point there. I mean I wrote A LOT of matches back in the day, I just could not write a whole show on my own/with one person anymore. Admittedly that is why I loved Schneider's reign as half of the shows became Phillip Schneider hour because at his height as champ the guy was pumping out an ungodly amount of promos. Epoch had a similar workload and me and Trace are both obviously thankful for that. But it just can't be done strictly alone anymore. Trace will admit that, as do I, as would E, Thunder and whoever they get to take my place. Writer contribution is so important to the WFWF, because otherwise you are taking the risk of whoever does have to write your stuff being on too of their game putting out something stellar, or making a mistake with your character (not that I'd EVER do that ) or it turning out bad because maybe the writer had a bad day and is burned out. Welcome to life. It sucks.

I'm pleased people enjoyed the promo. I'm glad it brought some clarity to what, to many, seemed like an odd move angle wise in the title picture. I hope all of this madness dies down and we can continue on our fresh, post SB, path as planned. P.S I really dug Josh Dean's promo. Nice way to work into an angle with Philippe.

F*ck it, let's talk the good too.
Everything from Obo's match through the Josh Dean promo was choice. Truthfully, Obo will probably crush 'em, but that's a good, sensible feud right there.
I'm interested to see who steps into the National title tournament, and if it really elevates the stature of the title. That's something I wanted to do back when I tried bringing Vieira back. Unfortunately, I tried involving Carter. My bad.
Bishop/Solomon/Trace? Probably another one way crusher, but probably fun to watch.
