I'm not even from there I'm in Boston where we get at least one PPV per year (MITB will be our second in 7 months ) but what I don't understand is why they haven't had PPVs in the UK for years now. These days those crowds are absolutely insane. Imagine a crowd like that with a big 4 PPV like Summerslam? I gotta give big props to you Brits. Watching these shows where you all are going bananas really brings life back into these shows. It's not just the UK, the US crowds have been very excited lately as well. Let's keep up the trend fans!

Any Big 4 PPV would suffice, but with WM, Royal Rumble & Survivors in months where the weather is tricky, Cardiff's Millennium Stadium would be better as it has a roof, and holds 72,000 fans. Summerslam could be held at Wembley, but it has to be the August show because the weather cannot be guaranteed outside UK summer months.

Next thing you know you'll be out there trying to get all that tea scooped up! LOL...sorry. That made me laugh to myself.

Now that the Network is in play, I support the idea of sending a small Pay-Per-View to the UK to see how things work out. Not the Rumble, Wrestlemania, or Summerslam, though. Those shows should absolutely not be on tape delay, and I don't think WWE is interested in shifting the start time, especially taking the west coast into consideration.

It has a better shot at happening now then it would have without the WWE Network.
It could air live on the Network at 8 pm UK time, which is 3 pm Eastern/12 pm Western time for the North American people in Canada and the USA.
But with PPV still being an option out there, I don't think it would happen yet. 1992 worked because nobody knew it was taped earlier on and showed a few hours later for the people who bought it.

With apologies to European and Australian WWE fans, I don't think either location will ever hold one of the big four PPVs ever again because of the time differences. The WWE would lose US/Canadian/Mexican viewers if its tape delayed and the inevitable spoilers cause a portion of the audience to not watch.
I liked it when the WWE did special Europe only PPVs during the Attitude era. Would you rather have a regular PPV at a really awkward time or a special PPV tailored just for the European audience? Just like Hart vs Bulldog was a bigger deal in 1992 because it took place in England, imagine the difference in crowd reaction for a Sheamus/Barrett match held in England instead of somewhere in the US or Canada.
I think since WWE is a global company, other countries/continents deserve a PPV but I don't see it being one of the big four.

Bingo. And 1992 -- even with a massive crowd, arguably the biggest legit crowd WWE has ever done -- was such a flop overall that they never did it again. And like you say, that was before the Internet. Nowadays, no way that it could be done on a timeshift, and shifting PPV times isn't going to work. The network makes it more possible than before, but if they did bring one over here, I couldn't see it being SummerSlam. If the PPV business really does drop off a cliff this year and they keep the same "special event" schedule next year, they could maybe do Payback 2015 in the UK.

I see nothing wrong with them experimenting airing a PPV at 3pm est time on a Sunday afternoon. It could be live in UK. 3pm Sunday afternoon HELLO primetime football hours in the US . No football in august. No spoilers because it would have aired live. I think it would work out great.

I'm from England and I would love it but I don't think we'll ever get a big PPV, but even a secondary PPV would draw a massive crowd. What they could do is maybe drop a PPV and replace it with a special 'Night of Champions' or 'Extreme Rules' RAW in London and make it into a big deal

I can see it work for something that's not a regular WWE PPV, like do an InsurreXtion/Rebellion type PPV in the UK just for the Network to try it out, but not for an event like Summerslam. With PPV, though a lot less than before, the time differences will be a big issue, and I think they aired Summerslam 1992 a day after they had it in the UK, so with spoilers out there, a lot less people might not want to watch because they read the spoilers. So if it's a PPV like InsurreXtion or Rebellion, sure, I am so down for something like that, but not even for a PPV like Money in the Bank or Hell in a Cell I can see this happening.

Here's one big problem people are failing to remember by airing a PPV on a Sunday at 3pm. Its not gonna do dick in sales going up against he NFL. Scheduling it during the football off season is an absolute must. SummerSlam in that situation would be out of the question. Its one thing to go up against 1 Sunday Night game, its another to go up against 8-10 Sunday Afternoon games.

No, I don't wanna pay 10 dollars for something taped. A pay per view should be live

I'm from Cardiff, Wales and I think the Millenium Stadium here would be perfect for one of the big PPVs. It can hold almost 75,000 people and has a roof that can be opened. Plus Cardiff is a great City and easily accessible.

We'll give the UK Summerslam, and Los Angeles will gladly take Royal Rumble or Money In the Bank. Boston can have Smackdown.

I'd like to see a Wrestlemania outside of North America. I am sure it will be as well received in terms of ticket sales.

SummerSlam at Wembley or Millenium Stadium would be amazing. That would only be a 1 or 2 hour flight so I could finally attend a PPV.
