Sounders where able to hang with Tottenham today. Minnesota United beat Swansea 2-0 as well. Nice little morale boost for them, not that it means much.

Well hey, World Cup fever has me sticking around. I watched Portland/Seattle on Sunday and Philly/New York last night. Going to the Columbus/Crystal Palace friendly next week. I'm full on board. Same here haha. It seems like with soccer/football being so popular in America for the World Cup that outlets like ESPN would try to cash in by covering Premier League or even MLS more. I'd love to follow both but the lack of replays/highlights and even games available makes it tough. I have caught a couple MLS games on ESPN though, so it's not like it's completely forgotten. I'm also a fan of lacrosse, so i'm used to following less popular sports. Go Chicago Fire though!

So look out for games starting the morning of August 16!

In the meantime there's a bunch of teams doing pre-season friendlies in the USA. We're playing LA Galaxy, Inter & Real Madrid in the next 10 days.

Seems my soccer thread isn't very active I told you, when the World Cup ends most Americans don't care about soccer.

NHL board was great and I hope to post more this season At least that stays somewhat active with transactions. Soccer is just not popular here in the states. Unless we win a World Cup, or the MLS opens the pocketbook to European players, the sport will never take off here.

Wait for EPL to start, it'll pick up.
Part if the problem is that MLS is scarcely on TV, so it's a little hard to follow and discuss.

FC Bayern vs. MLS All-Stars tonight, should be a fun match. Watch it to show ESPN that soccer does have a market in America.

Good opening day win for Spurs. They seem to feature heavily in the NBC adverts for the BPL again.
