I figured since I've recently discovered some other country music fans around Wfigs that would could use a thread to discuss this great genre of music. Share your favorite songs. Talk about your favorite artists. Maybe we'll all discover some stuff we didn't know before.
I'm in a Hank Williams Jr. mood this morning so I'm going to start off sharing some of his stuff.

Always been my fav Hank Jr song And rightfully so. It's an amazing song. I can never listen to it just once when I put it on. Alan Jackson did a cover of it that I enjoy also.

Big fan of Jake Owen:
Don't like the guy who sings it that much, but I quite like this song, probably because Rob Thomas wrote it, and writes awesome songs:
EDIT: I like this Alan Jackson song too:

I'm really into Rev Peyton's Big Damn Band. Saw them numerous times & they are 3 of the nicest people ever. They really appreciate their fans.

Loved both. Bought the MP3 of Jake's and added the Tritt album to my mp3 wish list on amazon. Thanks for that! Now... It's a crime that you don't really like Travis Tritt. Let me give you some exhibits. Should I keep going?

Let me give you some exhibits. Should I keep going? I'll listen to those after this post. Country's generally not my thing, but I like that song as it sounds like a country Matchbox Twenty song. In fact Matchbox's guitarist Kyle Cook's solo work definitely has Country elements to it. I also like these Jake Owen tracks:

I grew up on this stuff so naturally I have become a bit sour towards it since I was not allowed to listen to anything else, but I love Toby Keith. I have a few songs I like from the 90's though that are not Keith songs. Private Andrew Malone, Three Wooden Crosses and Old Red stand out. But most recently I have started liking Eric Church, despite him being a known douchebag. Springsteen was a favorite of mine for a while there.

This is my favorite song of his: The guy attacked Miranda Lamberts weight rather viciously about a year or two ago. Now, everyone knows him and Shelton are not friends, but you do not make comments on the one thing that can break any woman. Just uncalled for to me.
